This hidden gem is in the center of town, just off on a side street. A quiet place, with friendly staff, it was a great stay. Outside had hanging flowers and was really clean in the parking lot. You can see how much the owners care for the place. Swimming pool (which we did not use) and guest laundry (which we did!). We had a queen suite, that included a microwave, refrigerator and kitchenette layout. Shower was great! Plenty of room! This stay did not include breakfast, but we walked about a block to the Moab Diner and were not disappointed!

We made a last minute booking since we didn’t know what our plans would be as we drove home from a family reunion in Arizona. We got the two bedroom suite and it was better than we expected! So clean and comfortable, plenty of room for a family of five. The kitchen and dining area is spacious and fully-stocked.||The beds were comfy-we all slept great.

Google
Great location. So close to the arches national park. But the people who work there are super friendly and give great service. The rooms are absolutely adorable. I was really impressed! Would stay here again! And the price is fantastic as well!

Google
Great Location, the room comes with a full fridge and sink. Including dishware and soap. I had a dog with me, there is a $15 pet fee. The whole place is cozy and nice. With lots of plants and decor. The only issue we had was the door knob to our room was a bit janky to open, yet still functional. Overall, I was very happy with my stay while exploring southern Utah.

Absolutely lived this place, right from the time if check in with Mandy, who was super helpful to checkout with Linda who was also great. Located within a short walk of from main street, but far enough away to not be affected by traffic noise. Rooms serviced daily, all you could want in the room. The pool was a refreshing treat after a day on the go. Hanging baskets of plants were a real nice touch. Laundry was very handy. There is free coffee ☕️ in reception and a selection of essentials for sale as well. Megan, the owner has got this absolutely right. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is a hidden gem in Moab for sure! The location is great- super close walking to anything downtown. Located just off main, it was very quiet and comfortable. The room was well equipped and clean. The ac works great, the pool is private and has plenty of chairs, and the beds were really comfortable.

Google
You can not beat the location , price, and amenities. We walked to restaurants daily - one block to Main Street but very quiet & plenty of parking. Loved the fridge, microwave, sink, & coffee maker with plenty of free coffee!!! So happy I chose this place & hubby is too.|

Google
The location is unbeatable. 10min drive to arches and 20 min to Colorado River, and walking distance to a great variety of restaurants and convenience. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and it was amazingly comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to cook. The pool is super nice to relax after a hike! The staff is soo helpful and willing to suggest places to go if you're a first time traveler like us. Miss barbie and the other lady are amazing! I was also delayed and they were able to accommodate everything so I had a check in which I really appreciated it. Is also very affordable for everything you get for the price, will be definitely coming back!

Yelp
We LOVED our 2 night stay at the Rustic Inn and the fabulous town of Moab. I wish we could have stayed a few more nights. Mandy was fantastic checking us in and giving us all the info we needed for our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of outlets and USB ports for devices. The pool was great and the water warm. Refreshing after our long drive. We took advantage of the laundry facilities which are clean and inexpensive to use. Quarters available at the front desk. They also have great coffee in the lobby and keurig machines in the room. There are many restaurants and stores (including the lovely City Market) all within walking distance. We would absolutely stay here again and I hope we do... we would love to spend a week in Moab.

Yelp
What a great place to stay!! The rooms are big and clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable. There's a coffee machine, big refrigerator and microwave. The pool is clean and refreshing after a day of exploring Moab. It's off the Main Street, so you don't have to hear the big rigs drive by. It's one of the last privately owned motels. Highly recommend you stay here.

Yelp
This is a great older hotel that has an amazing location. True to its name, this motel is pretty rustic in an old western kind of way. Horseshoe towel hangers! We made our reservations about six months in advance to make sure we were able to get a pet friendly room. The pet friendly rooms are located at the back in a separate building. They are very large rooms, with large closet space, coffee maker, and even a full sized refrigerator. When we checked in, I was given a long spiel about how it is better to book through their website, and not a third party website as they are charged fees. I was also told about the difference between a service animal and an emotional support animal. I was glad I did share with them ahead of time that my dogs were just regular pets. Whew! Not the easiest check in for sure. The lobby has brochures for the area and free postcards. There is not a separate sink for the bathroom, and that can make space around the kitchen area quite crowded since that is the only sink. Upon first glance, our room on the second floor was pretty clean when we checked in. After a few hours, I noticed some dried mop strings in different areas of the room and other areas that were not as clean as I had first thought. They have a small picnic area outside, as well as a covered picnic area and a seasonal pool. Walkable to many shops, restaurants downtown.

Yelp
Tried calling 4 times and from different numbers to simply tell the staff that due to storms we were running late and the lady that answered cut me off and said they were booked full when I tried to speak and hung up on me FOUR times. There were other times I tried calling from the same number and they immediately put me on hold and eventually just disconnected me. Needless to say, we stopped somewhere else and aren't going there to stay since we don't know if they kept our rooms reserved or gave them away since they hung on me and wouldn't confirm.

Lexie M.

Yelp
Very, very clean rooms! For the lower price, you get quite a spacious room. Front desk employees were very sweet. Definitely outdated but everything worked well.

Tom B.

Yelp
Great small motel and clean and courteous. Easy in and out. One block off the main busy street where most hotels are located. Nice and quiet. Yep it's definitely old fashion. Gotta love it. The plus-full size refrigerator. The negative-no sink in the bathroom. You'll be using the double sink in the kitchen. Easy walk to many restaurants.

Yelp
I can not say enough about how pleased we were with our stay. you can clearly see that the owner and staff live their diamond in the rough. from the nagging flowers to the adorable pool area, this place screams love. the rooms are clean and, most importantly, cool . if I return to Moab, this is where I want to stay. Thank you

Yelp
This is a great spot to hole up and have a nice stay. The hotel is very clean and sanitary. Rooms are big and cozy and even have a little kitchen. Giant fridge too. They gave us epic donuts on our departure. Staff is super friendly. I was surprised at how inexpensive our stay was for what we got. There's a great pool and out door patio w roof where you could have dinner. I won't stay elsewhere in Moab! Oh yeah - old fashioned keys for the door. The metal kind. Haven't used those kind in a hotel in 20 years.

Yelp
We loved out Stay at The Rustic Inn. The service is impeccable and we felt very welcome and at home. Staff is welcoming, friendly and professional. The rooms are kept wonderfully and are clean and comfortable, with enough room to hang and store your clothes, a full fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The location is convenient to everything in town as well. We would highly recommend a stay here. Thank you! Christa and Stephan.

Yelp
Don't be deterred by the name, reasonable price, or rusty sign, this place is a gem! Super friendly staff, very clean rooms and comfortable beds, I couldn't ask for better! It is one block off the main road so very quiet but still walkable to all of the shops and restaurants. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
We loved the old world nature of this Inn. We swam a bit in the pool in October. It was warm and perhaps saline. The front desk staff, Mandy was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed having a kitchenette with coffee service in the room. We believe due to lack of space, the bathroom lacked a sink. It was a shared sink with the kitchen. The beds are comfortable. The room on the second floor was quiet. The location of the inn is a bit off Main Street so minimum to no traffic noise. We stayed one night due to traveling to New Mexico.

Yelp
Family and I had a great experience booking our room and our questions answered. This is a pet friendly hotel which also didn't charge the pet fee we are so use to seeing at the bigger name hotels. Keys are old school which needs a key to unlock and not the card. Tons of parking, has a swimming pool which closes at 10, laundry room, grill, table and benches with umbrellas and trash cans around the property. Our room was cleaned and no signs of anything out of the ordinary. Hotel is also in walking distance of numerous places to eat. Also, the room had a kitchenette which included a regular size refrigerator, utensils and dish soap, kettle and coffee pot and items you may need to bathe with. Overall, great experience and just a heads up, the office closes at 11pm.

Yelp
Would give zero stars if I could! Just got "walked" by this motel for my "confirmed booking" through Expedia. The front desk guy was completely unhelpful and downright RUDE! Told us (a mom and two daughters after a long, very hot day in Arches) that we were out of luck, despite seeing our reservation. They had over sold their rooms and did not honor our 3rd party booking because it means less money for them. Front desk guy went on to say that while he "felt sorry for us, (he was) not sorry.". Unbelievable! So rude! And he offered absolutely no help and asked us to step aside and suggested that we hunt for a room in crowded Moab on a Saturday night! DONT book with this hotel, if you actually want a reliable booking! You may just end up on the street with nowhere to stay, and they won't care. Avoid at all costs. It's nice that they have good reviews, but they don't honor all reservations. it's not worth the risk. Also, it's important to note that we arrived at 330pm when checkin was 3pm. We did not arrive late, so there is no excuse And the front desk guy is a real jerk. He was even rude to the customers calling in, while he was walking us without apology. I'm surprised that they have good reviews at all. Perhaps they are fake. :(

Yelp
My friend had stayed here on a previous trip so booked three of us there for three nights. Megan checked us in. She was so accommodating and helpful! Great start to our stay in Moab. Rustic Inn is conveniently located in town. The pool offered a lovely cool off after hiking and driving in the heat and dust. The rooms were clean and comfortable and welcoming. There was coffee maker and supplies for tea and coffee plus microwave and fridge. Don't forget ice, coffee and free postcards in the lobby. Stay here!

Vicki M.

Yelp
This was a nice surprise. My husband thought it wasn't going to be very nice. He was happy to see and that he really liked the place. The check in people were very friendly and helpful at all times. the price was reasonable and our 2 puppies were quite happy with the tile floors as they were cooler than carpet like most hotels. there is a large grass area for puppy potty breaks with doggie bags to pick up after yourself. the back has the wooded area with a river walk sidewalk and a back way shortcut to downtown. When we were checking in the couple in front of us were multiple returning guest. They said that they don't go anywhere else when they are in Moab. Nice! You may want to check this out sometime to see if it is your cup of tea place.

Yelp
I was so pleasantly surprised at how nice this place is! The prices are much lower than the other hotel options I was finding, and I booked with a mild sense of dread, wondering what the catch would be. No catch. It's a genuinely lovely hotel with friendly service, comfy beds, and a fantastic location. They even have laundry machines! I greatly enjoyed my visit here, and I'd gladly stay here again. Thanks to my fellow Yelp reviewers for steering me right!

William W.

Yelp
Booked a room here on a whim due to issues with campsite we booked. It was hot outside and the AC was ice cold in the room. Relaxed at the pool a bit and all the other guests at the pool were pleasant. The staff in the office were extremely nice and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again when in Moab!

Sean O.

Yelp
Great pet friendly hotel in Moab. Amazing staff and clean/large rooms. Can't beat the price.

Yelp
Since leaving LA took too long(we are moving back east) Mindy and the staff all helped us feel better by giving us a huge gift of checking in and out super late so we are grateful for a nice nap and clean and happy stay. Thanks again

Yelp
We had a great experience! After driving 10 hours from California, we checked in. Rooms were clean, everything was organized. We had two beds, one bathroom and a small kitchen. Nice pool outside , super close to downtown where you have restaurants, coffee shops, etc. They clean your room each day, which I never had that happen unless you requested it. Good job! We will definitely come back!!!

Yelp
We stayed three nights here while visiting our daughter, visiting Arches, and hiking. Our room was comfortable, spacious, clean, and decorated in a way that seemed to fit the area--not a generic hotel room. All the basics were there--microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator, and a good shower. It's reasonably priced and convenient to activities and walking distance to downtown Moab shopping, coffee shops, and restaurants. Highly recommend. (Leaving tomorrow--posting review before I forget!)

Yelp
It was just ok. Probably more "rustic" than I really wanted. I try to stick with locally owned joints when I visit smaller towns, though. The ceilings are low. Really low. So low that I could not stretch my arms up without hitting the ceiling with my wrists. This made the room feel really small. We were left alone though, and they had a laundry room. It was quiet. It had a full size fridge which was nice because we were there for three nights. My only real, big complaint was that on our last morning, as I was preparing sandwiches for our day out, a cockroach just started strolling across the floor. It was taken to the front desk in a glass, and they didn't seem bothered by it. When I checked out they asked, "Except for the critter, was your stay ok?" Yeah, I guess. Except for the CRITTER.
google avatar

Sankit G.

Yelp
This is rustic in quite literal sense. The lady greeted very warmly when we arrived and quickly gave all the essential information about the place and the room. We had booked a 2-Queen bed room and it was quite clean, well organized and spacious. There was a designated kitchen area where they had cutlery though no cooking stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The parking was right outside the door so you don't have to drag your luggage around everywhere. The location of the place is also quite good. It's just a 100 feet off the Main Street so you can just walk out to a whole load of restaurants of your choice of cuisine. We saw a dead roach in the bathroom in morning which wasn't there in night, so I'd suggest them to get some roach treatment done around the property. Another thing that I feel could be improved would be to have more charging points in the room. If I ever drive by this location again Rustic Inn could be one stop for me again.

Yelp
Below average. Poor cleanliness, poor service, not recommended for anyone with allergies. I was in the one bed unit next to the office, perhaps the 2 bed units are better? Cleanliness: More than average amount of hairs found on the bed - under the pillow, on the sheets, etc. the office host even picked a long one off for us when we showed her. the outter bedspread had several types of hair, and some yellow stains. i know the outter bedspreads aren't normally washed often... but yellow stains? - its time! Alergy alert: The room was rather "stuffy" , triggering my allergies. I can't necessarily say it was smoke redidue, cleaning chemicals pest control or dust. unsure, and normal for any hotel room, but the real problem was the inability to get fresh air. -1 small sealed window and the ac unit appeared to only recirculate (no "vent/open" setting). very poor night sleep... Service: The night host was friendly and tried to help but no other rooms available. said she would leave a note for the morning manager to maybe issue a discount for the issues. However, morning host said she did not read any notes, in had a pretty bad attitude. She finally agreed to contact management on my behalf, but it's now been several days and I've heard nothing, so chalking this up to a bad hotel, hopefully others reading this will choose better.

Yelp
Great location. It's literally downtown. Walking distance to pretty much anything eg. really good restaurants & shops. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds & kitchenette. Big tv screen & fridge. Clean & comfy. The woman who checked us in was very pleasant. No complaints. Would stay here again when I come back to Moab.
google avatar

Yelp
We stayed here overnight for Arches before heading back to LA. Very helpful and friendly staff which is always a plus Clean & quiet room, convenient location close to everything in town. Would definitely stay here again!

Gail E.

Yelp
Loved our stay here even though only for one night. Mandy, the front desk manager, was patiently helping a difficult customer answering all her questions and reassuring her. During my checkin she helped me out greatly when I mentioned we had a bike and offered to store it in a locker made just for bikes. She also gave us the best travel advice for going to Colorado - to take hwy 128. It was the most spectacular drive I've ever done and literally moved me to tears. The room was really nice. Super clean and with all amenities you could need. So close to everything. A great stay.

Lori P.

Yelp
A gem! Right downtown Moab close to everything! Comfortable beds, kitchenette with microwave, kettle, coffee maker and glasses, plates etc. Plenty of towels and toiletries provided. They even have maid service which is uncommon today!
google avatar

Kate E.

Yelp
Great location, spacious, clean rooms, easy parking. You can tell they really take care of the place - there are petunias hanging from the balconies and places to sit and eat, the pool is nice, the towels are fluffy. We need more hotels and motels like this where there aren't a ton of amenities but what's there is carefully tended.
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
This is the second year we have stayed at this motel. There are many great things about it and they have all been extolled by others in other reviews. Spacious Clean Centrally located Kitchenette with dishes Full size fridge- the best thing ever Nice toiletries Plenty of parking Free wifi - slow af In case you were wondering. We paid $125/ night and after comparing prices at other places this was very affordable. The Super 8 was pricing at $190/night. What planet are we living on here. Lol This town is starved for food and hotel options given the increasing popularity. For the price this place is a gem. I had a hard time giving it a 4 star review because it's just not a 4 star place but it's 3.5.
google avatar

Jerri M.

Yelp
Very clean, large room, comfortable bed and dog friendly!! Management was most helpful and there is a great place nearby to walk the dog plus you are so close to town. Walk to restaurants and shops but it's located in a quiet area!!! Would definitely come again and definitely recommend it!!
google avatar

Richard G.

Yelp
This is a solid budget motel in Moab. I love that it was not on the strip. My room had a full size frig and double kitchen sink. The only caveat is there is no bathroom wash basin area, it has been replaced by the kitchen. Parking can be a little tight.
google avatar

Annie K.

Yelp
This is my first time staying in a motel, before we entered, I was kind of worried because it looked really small outside. During our long trip, we visited many expensive hotel before staying here, and to my surprise, Moab Rustic Inn is the best. Its appearence isn't luxury, but very lovely and warm. It is like a small home, it has nearly everything you need. You are able to cook, swim, barbecue here. It is a wonderful experience, thanks :)
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
Hidden little gem off the main road close to everything in town. Looks like a shabby motel on outside but they have made it nice inside. Kinda funky but still nice. Well worth the small price tag.

Karen C.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at Rustic Inn over the weekend of the July 4th holiday. It was outstanding! The room was so nice and very clean! It came with a kitchenette, which was great for us, we used that the entire time we were there! It was so quiet! The pool has towels already there instead of having to bring our own! I loved the gorgeous hanging petunias everywhere! The flowers even have constant irrigation flowing to them! There also a neat little walking trail by the hotel to walk, and enjoy. The best part is, this motel is extremely close to downtown for all the restaurants, and shopping! Our over all experience was excellent!!
google avatar

Evelyn S.

Yelp
Great location - convenient to downtown. Lots of parking - pool is great with a covered picnic area for friends to gather. Our room had a mini kitchen. That was a plus, but the sink in the kitchen area is the same sink for brushing teeth, etc. - not a good combination. Beds were comfortable and room is spacious with ample drawer and closet space. Would recommend it and would stay there again.
google avatar

Gregory C.

Yelp
While unassuming exterior at a great price, we were more than pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the quality of wifi and bedding. The service was very prompt and organized. They went over and above to to send my girlfriend her left behind Fitbit watch to her home 300 miles away
google avatar

P L.

Yelp
This is an old motel, dark rooms, think 1960's. It was very clean but we had to use a flashlight during the day, to find items in the little closet. It is very convenient to downtown Moab. Walking distance to everything. The receptionist was very helpful and accommodating. Loved that. Seemed very welcoming. But the rooms themselves- ugh. The bathroom had a tub/shower and toilet only. You had to step to the main room to wash at a kitchen sink. Kind of weird. Very dark rooms and decor, though clean, was a bit depressing. Spent some time at the pool. Nothing spectacular. But they did have a nice little covered area to keep out of the sun. Don't know that I'd stay again. I guess for the money, it was okay. The bonus was being so close to everything.

Donna K.

Yelp
The location was perfect. Off the main street so it was quiet but walkable to many restaurants and shops. The Arches were very close. The room was clean with a refrigerator. Free coffee at the front office. Reasonably priced.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
This place was stupendous. My friends and I stayed two nights between our trips from Canyonlands to Arches. For the value, we got way more than we expected. Front desk was real' nice, giving us a spare blanket. We had a water kettle, they had plenty of great teas and hot chocolate and coffee. The rooms had plates and silverware. The refrigerator was larger than expected. The room offered plenty of toiletries. The TV had a fine amount of channels. The beds felt great. My friends and I would recommend this inn to anyone coming through Moab. It's the best!
google avatar

Schanette L.

Yelp
Cute place. Large and spacious room and bathroom. I'm giving them 4 stars because there isn't good lighting or a good area for putting on makeup, brushing teeth or drying your hair.
google avatar

Teddy N.

Yelp
Wow is this nice for the price! Includes full size refrigerator/freezer microwave kitchentte section... and even has dishes and glasses. I've never stayed in a hotel with dish soap under the sink. Kept up very well & very clean. Also has laundry on site & free wifi. A perfect stay if you're like me wanting to visit Arches National Park. It's more like a move-in ready apartment then a hotel or motel. Fantastic!
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
Was only here one night but I would stay again. Good location. Clean and charming room which was more like a studio apartment. Friendly staff. My only negative was there was no "bathroom" sink, just the kitchenette sink which was fine.
google avatar

Kristina R.

Yelp
A little sketchy driving up to this motel since it seems like they've spent all their money on the remodel that they didn't have anything left to fix that horror-movie-esque dilapidated sign on the street corner. But, no worries! As long as there are other guests around, you'll feel safe and cozy staying at this very clean motel with a friendly front desk and great walkability to the nearby yelp-loved restaurants. And remember, you are in Moab to be a dare-devil adventure-seeker and to stare in awe at the breathtakingly beautiful scenery. And while you're in Moab, don't forget to climb up and roll down that big red sand dune across the entrance to Arches NP. I almost missed out on that experience because I didn't want to get sand in my knickers.

Annalisa R.

Yelp
Stayed here for a weekend visiting Moab in one of the suites with a kitchen. Great customer service and the room was spotless, so clean! I appreciate that so much more during covid. Donuts on the weekends were a plus too! Highly recommend this if you're traveling to Moab. Comfy beds, and great showers! Sometimes I dread crappy hotel showers but this one was awesome.
google avatar

Evan S.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The staff are wonderful and friendly. They are right in the heart of Moab and the rooms are great, kitchen and all. Highly recommended place to stay in Moab.
google avatar

Sheila D.

Yelp
Darling! Super clean room, comfy beds, full size fridge, and laundry facilities open till 10 pm. Nice, big, clean pool too! Definitely recommend this place!! Affordable to boot

Andrew S.

Yelp
This is the coolest place and Kia the night hostess is seriously the kindest and most helpful and beautiful spirited person I have had the pleasure of meeting in a long time. Six stars. The place is clean and big and modern. All the amenities are top notch. Every employee is very nice and my vacation was the best because of Kia and the high quality standards. I will be back!

Yelp
This is a clean and fairly inexpensive spot when passing through. The rooms are well sized and the kitchenette would be great for a longer stay. The beds are very uncomfortable and the pool is DANGEROUS. It has tile markers showing a depth of 6', but it is actually about 3'. I warned several people who were about to jump in as I did, which resulted in a jammed back and neck.
