How Playing a Euro-Hopping Assassin Helped Eddie Redmayne Find the Quiet Beauty of Traveling

"Knize is a tailor in Vienna, set up in the mid-19th century, known for its refined, elegant, and precise craftsmanship. The building was designed by the famous architect Adolf Loos. They have logs of the measurements of famous clients like the Prince of Wales, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, and Laurence Olivier."

Great menswear in Vienna. The sales staff are not pushy and actually ensure you're utterly certain before buying. They take their time in allowing you to test out different options.

Do not recommend despite long standing history. Current owners do not live up to past glory. Complete disregard for customer. I bought an expensive shirt that after couple of washings was discolored like an old rug. I brought it to the attention of the shop by email. No response! I brought the shirt to the shop and left them visiting card. No response.

This is the finest mens shop I have worked with from NY to Hong Kong. The staff is kind and patient, the material is excellent, and the fit is perfect. I have diverted trips through Vienna just to purchase from Knize. I only wish online ordering was possible.

Yelp
Don't let the negative review fool you. Knize is a long standing, respected men's boutique in vienna and Paris. The last thing they'd do is intentionally rip someone off. I purchased beautiful pants, pajamas, and a jacket from them in Austria. They tailored the pants on the same day and the fee was included in the price. Our assistant spoke fluent english and was incredibly friendly. It's an old school shop with a beautiful/historically significant interior. It's not fussy in the least, just nice. if you're looking for stylish, well made clothes that will last a lifetime, go here. Can't recommend it enough.

Yelp
While this shop has beautiful clothes be very careful when you are dealing with them. I was really taken advantage of when I purchased a jacket. I was concerned about the fit of the coat and they agreed to alter it for me. I paid for the coat and then was handed another bill for 80 euros for the alteration. I immediately said that I would get it altered at home and was told that the alteration had already started and I would have to pay it. I protested some more and they brought the coat out with the sleeve ripped apart and said I could take it the way or pay the fee. Being at a complete disadvantage I agreed to the outlandish fee. To make matters worse when it was delivered to my hotel the alterations were awful. When I got home I had to have them all redone. In my opinion these people are unscrupulous and purposefully prey on tourist. I would shop elsewhere when in Vienna
