Modern Art Museum

Tiny but mighty! You can see the whole gallery in under an hour, which is perfect if your attention span for modern art runs out after the third abstract painting. I went on a weekday around midday and had the place entirely to myself — probably because it was 40 degrees outside and everyone else was smart enough to hide in the shade. On the bright side, it felt like I had booked a private museum tour… without actually booking anything.

I rarely find contemporary art museums I like, but this time several exhibitions made an impression on me. It's a stunning place. The prices are affordable.

Thankful for Google map identifying this museum. Otherwise people would only hear about it via word of mouth. No significant signs identify the museum entrance. It is housed in vacated Soviet style apartment building. The art inside is worthwhile.

Wonderful museum! They had a regular exhibition for 1500 dram (3,5€), and an additional one by Akhsar Muriev for 500 dram (1,2€). Both were wonderful!

Very pleasantly surprised by this smallish but excellent museum that now seems to be totally open although the newer exhibits lack any information in English. Overall though, there is plenty of information in English. And of course, there's the oldest shoe in the world on display. Very cool.

little bit upset exhibition of Jesus..)) I expect different Art,but all was same and not interesting.Hope,next time will be another good paintings.)
