Great tasting coffee and vibes from this little coffee shop! The customer service is spectacular and there is a nice little seating area to stop and have a chat or work a bit. The food also looks great which I have yet to try but one day may grab a pastry. Highly recommend the burnt cinnamon latte or iced blackstrap latte. Delish!!

I finally came around to making a review for this place. Customer service is friendly but the espresso is terrible. Idk if I’m being punished for ordering iced americanos, but each I’ve ordered it tasted really bad. Mostly watered down and ashy in taste. Maybe the espresso beans are stale? Giving it three stars since I’ve come in at least three times the last couple months and each time I had the same issue. A bottom of the barrel cafe like Starbucks has more enjoyable Americanos imo. I would stick to other local cafes for espresso and Americanos.

I walked in and was greeted right away. I loved the energy of the beautiful young ladies. Very sweet. I got the burnt cinnamon latte and it was nice and lite, & perfectly sweetened.

I dream about their French pastry like every night. Have zero idea how it’s spelled or pronounced but if you ever tasted it- that’s the one 😋

Oakland has an amazing coffee scene and modern coffee is definitely one of the best. It is located across from federal hall and they have the best Cardomom Chai ever. Even though Starbucks was around the corner, is definitely come here again. Free wifi and power outlets available but seating is limited.

I love coming here to get my coffee or chai. Coffee & Masala chai are my favorite so far. They also have fresh bakery items. It's a cute cafe. Staff is very sweet. Just make sure to come here before 2ish as they close at 230pm.

My new favorite coffee establishment. It’s so nice to get a break from the madness of Starbucks. It’s so chill here. The service here is awesome and they offer great tasting coffee. Right now I am having a peppermint, ginger tea. Cold day, tea... great combo.

I love modern coffee! This location is very convenient for me so I stop in often - I just wish they were open in the afternoon for a pick-me-up! I like that they have special touches - such as their lavender syrup made in-house - that you can add to your drink.
