I've been twice now and each time I discovered new treasures. I love the selection and inclusivity in sizing. The second time I went they were super busy but the fabulous ladies who work there took time to help me and I never felt pressured or rushed. If you're looking for more unique clothing with a timeless look I highly recommend.

Beautiful clothes and friendly staff! I was enchanted by the window displays and had to check it out. I was not disappointed! I may not be visiting Salem again for a long time, but I will definitely be making online purchases! This store is a must visit if you love quirky fabrics and timeless fashion! They have a broad range of sizes as well!

Stopped by during a long weekend trip and I'm so glad I did!! It's impossible to find good stores for retro style clothing where I live so I was excited when I heard about Modern Millie and I was not disappointed! I took a long time browsing the racks and trying on clothes because I knew I'd only get to visit the one time but the staff were incredibly patient and I didn't feel rushed or judged at all. The staff were really sweet and courteous about putting items to the side for me while I was browsing and setting up a dressing room for me. I also really appreciated the staff checking on different sizes for items I was interested in. Overall it was a great experience, both the clothes and the staff were so lovely, I hope I can come back to Salem and visit again!

I appreciate the staff here so much! As a bigger person, I often struggle shopping and since becoming a customer I have always felt welcome. They truly get to know your style and talk through every brands unique sizes. I bought the best back to school outfit!! The hands on, size friendly approach always makes me feel so great. Absolutely adorable store with lots of plus size options. Super fun to pick out a little outfit for a Salem girls trip. The clothes are good quality, and are a bit pricey.

The staff here are so helpful and kind. They were never pushy, but checked on us several times as we perused all of the options. The inclusive sizing is incredible. Everyone in our group from size small to 4x found something here that they loved and purchased. Go visit. It'll make your Miss Frizzle dreams come true.

I have been shopping with Modern Millie for several years. Each and every time I conduct business with them, whether I have questions or I have purchased clothing or accessories from them, I have been met with nothing but kindness, a listening ear, getting my packages very quickly, and just all around cheer! They treat me as if I am their only customer! I don't know how they do it, but they are always completely spot on with customer service. On top of that, they carry amazing dresses, clothing, and accessories. You can tell they are very discerning with what they offer and I have, every time, gotten nothing but quality items. To say I am impressed is a huge understatement! This is perfect: when you go to buy an item of clothing, they have measured it out and put the sizing according to that specific item of clothing right there in the description of the item, and because of this, I have not had to return anything. I have bought likely over a hundred items if not close to 100 items, from them over the years! Every single business should model theirs after Modern Millie's business model. From the way their website is set up, to the impeccable customer service, to the quality of their merchandise, I would give them 100 stars if I could! Thank you, Modern Millie, for being a huge breath of fresh air in this world!

Such an amazing store Parking Off street parking available or if you plan to walk around there's a metered parking lot behind the plaza mall Service All staff were so nice and welcoming even after the holiday month (October) Selection I love the fact that you can find the same fabrics in different patterns/style dresses so you can choose. Plenty of denim selections as well as holiday fits, such as one stop shop Value Worth the price. The styles and fabrics are unique, very difficult to find elsewhere. Such a find!!!

I had forgotten about this cute shop from my last Salem trip in 2018. I'm so glad it's around because they have the best clothing in town. Everything is perfectly curated and styled. Pieces that feel unique. I immediately gravitated to a ghost collar top. I was going to just grab my size and pay but an employee suggested I try on because sometimes the sizing is tricky on the brand. I'm glad I did! The prices are high but you really are getting pieces that you won't find in every other store. The window displays are darling. I'd love it if my whole wardrobe could be from here.

Every time I would come up to visit friends in Beverly I used to stop in this store. I love the clothes. However every time I visited I left feeling a little weird about the interactions with the employees. Every single time. Either they were overly helpful and a little pushy, suggesting clothes that I would never feel comfortable wearing or they ignored me completely, never saying a word to me until I got to the register. Which is actually better than the one interaction specifically has stuck with me. That left me feeling stupid and afterward I realized that it was the girl in the shop that was being rude. She kept suggesting skirts and cropped shirts or tight shirts/sweaters that would show off my stomach. Things I didn't bring into the dressing room and didn't want to try on. When I stated that I don't show off my stomach because I don't like it and I was uncomfortable with the clothes she was trying to get me to try on she acted like I had offended her- as if I was putting her down. She was a bigger person than me but I only noticed for real after she became offended at the fact that I have issues with my own body. It had nothing at all to do with her, except that she was annoying and not listening to me. If she has more positivity about her body good for her. I do not and that's my own issue and it had nothing to do with her. She made me feel very uncomfortable and pretty shitty. Later on that same day we were at Bit Bar and that same sales girl was there as well. I saw her obviously point to me and lean in to speak to the person she as with. I should have gone over to her and said something but I was with my friends and didn't want to cause a scene but I should have. It's never ok to think that someone else's issues about themselves have anything to do with you. Get over yourself. Not everything is about you. Now I just order on the website.

Love the clothing there but only recommend shopping in store. Shipping experience is a waste. It cost $18 for shipping; first to receive a skirt I purchased and then to return it (it fit fine but didn't have the movement I was hoping for). That's a huge waste for something that didn't work out. And I'm only one state away (about 3 hours). PS. I've purchased several items via shipping before and this was my first return. Nevertheless, I won't be purchasing anything that requires shipping going forward.

Super cute and original clothing. The best part is that their dresses have pockets! I've been shopping here for years and have to stop in every time I'm in the area. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Friendly and helpful staff, amazing selection of vintage-style dresses and skirts with all variety of patterns and colors, accessories, and shoes as well! The cost is a little bit on the higher end (expect to pay ~$100 for a dress), but it's because the quality of clothing is high. The dress I purchased has gotten so many compliments, and it's so comfortable (with *pockets!*). I highly recommend this store and will definitely be back! (They also have an online shop which I have purchased from as well and it's excellent! Be mindful of the UK/US size different if shopping online)

When you visit this store you will suffer sticker shock....however, as a Hell Bunny and Unique Vintage retro shopper.....I have many dresses and unique fun outfits that are high quality, lasting, fabulous and they look brand new after many years! You get super fun clothes that last so long!! Anytime I wear something from Millie's, I get compliments and asked repeatedly, where did you get that??? Millies! If you want unique, retro, holiday or seasonal specific clothing and accessories this is the place to shop!!

Came with the intention of just looking through their sale rack outside the store front. Prices were reasonable and styles were vintage and fun. I was amazed at the amount of patterns and prints available. The dresses ranged in lengths, styles, and fabrics. There were also plenty of heels and sandals to pick amongst the other accessories. I am in love with my purchases but the prices are pretty steep however the quality seems to pair up well. Staff were incredibly friendly and available to offer any kind of assistance or feedback. Would come again!

This beautiful business lives completely rent-free in my head. As I sit here thinking about it, I truly think I would shop most of my wardrobe here if I was a local. Thankfully they have online ordering/shipping, but to me, nothing replaces the experience of being able to enjoy sifting through the racks of this exceptionally awesome local clothing shop. If you're a vintage/retro clothing person, this is the shop of your dreams. It's my understanding they offer new clothing that are vintage-style reproductions. MODERN MILLIE IS ALSO SIZE INCLUSIVE! I believe I saw up to size 5x. I think it's absolutely incredible they offer such absolutely beautiful clothing in sizes that fit everyone. Browsing through the patterns and colors of clothing here was a total dream. Fairytale books on a dress? Of course. A mushroom printed blouse? Yes. A skirt with bunnies wearing scarves? You better believe it. I tried on a few things in their dressing room, and while I wasn't able to find the perfect piece to take home with me to Ohio, the staff was very kind and helpful and encouraged me to keep checking online as new items come in regularly. If you can't find it in Modern Millie, you can't find it anywhere. High-quality, beautifully made, colorful and interesting pieces await in Modern Millie!

After seeing the most adorable shawl on the mannequin out front I stopped into Modern Millie and was so glad I did! Only in Salem for Halloween for the day I didn't get a chance to try on and shop for myself, but they assured me they had an online storefront, so I picked up my friend's gift, ogled the adorable purses and hats, and made a note to look up their site. Which I am also glad I did! One of my biggest sads recently has been due to my ongoing allergy issue I have not been able to buy any 'new-to-me' vintage pieces. The pieces that I couldn't bear to get rid of I packed up and left at my mom's house in hope someday I could wear them again, but in particular, one piece made me the most sad - a vintage wool coat with fur trimmed cuffs and bottom. So when I say I found the exact vintage replica of it in their store (the Lacey Coat In Bordeaux By Hearts & Roses London) I want you to feel my excitement for being able to replace it, allergen free. I also loved that they had such a lovely curated location for all the types of outfits I adore seeing on Insta, but can never find in my size. I am now a huge fan of Modern Millie and adore seeing their new pieces come up in my feed! They are 100% a must see if you're a fan of vintage clothing and visiting the Salem area.

Stumbled upon this shop while visiting Salem and loved it! Staff was great, fitting rooms were nice and clean and had chairs so you could check how garments fit while sitting. Shop has a good selection of sizes & prices, and EVERYTHING is adorable! Ended up with two dresses and a handbag. All of which I'm really pleased with. May have to visit their online store to get a few more items soon since I'm not local. Note some if not all of the items carry large name tags like Hell Bunny & Unique Vintage. Personally I found this a BIG plus, since I'm often in-between/on the edge of sizes it makes me hesitant to order directly from those sites online. So I found it really great to be able to try things on before I bought them!

What a VIBE. Situated in the heart of Salem this is a super cute shop filled with retro fits and bags. They carry a full range of sizes for all body types, super plus size inclusive which we LOVE. So many skirts and so many patterns I could've left with them all but I landed on one super cute skirt covered in adorable cacti and succulents. She's serving very much Miss Fritz from Magic School Bus and I'm living for it. The bags are so eclectic and fun it's a great place to stop if you're looking for a unique experience.

Fun and adorable shop with all sizes from XS to 4X. Many of the designs are retro and oh so fun. I bought a great skirt in a book pattern to wear to work. I had to restrain myself from buying the cat prints. My daughter tried on some fun items, too. The staff are all very helpful and accommodating and they wrap things up beautifully. I'm glad we had the opportunity to stop here.

Beautiful clothing for all shapes and sizes, from brands like Hell Bunny to Smak Parlour and Unique Vintage - so many beautiful dresses and accessories for retro gals. The staff is always friendly and excited to help you -- it's my go-to store for vintage dresses (particularly Halloween prints).

I feel like I should warn you- this place is dangerous for your wallet! lol~ I couldn't resist! I spotted the dresses in the shop window just 10 minutes before the store opened and I was giddy with excitement. I love dresses- especially 50's style dresses. I went into another shop for a few minutes and then headed straight back- customers were already inside and with the limit on people inside stores- I was happy to make it inside before the line started outside. I tried on numerous dresses & skirts and even John picked out a dress for me. I walked out with a stunning blue dress with stars and moons, a dress covered in books- very colorful and has pockets!!! And a spider web skirt that also had pockets. $$$ But so worth it! I have now worn each item- I have the book dress on right now at work. I love the blue dress the most, but I am so happy with every item. I could have bought so. much. more!!! Temptation central right here! The staff are very helpful and friendly! If you love this type of thing, you will have so much fun in this shop.

This shop is a total gem! It's small but packed with lots of really unique and cool pieces. The styles on offer are mostly vintage inspired, rockabilly, and quirky librarian, but they also have some basics too and cute accessories. Truly anyone could find something they like here, especially because they cater to a range of sizes- up to 4xl. The sales associates are very welcoming and eager to help, which makes for a pleasant shopping experience. Only criticism would be that prices are a little steep (but that's just the brands they carry- they're the same anywhere else) and it would be nice to see a little more variety in the cuts of the dresses. Most dresses and skirts are an A -line silhouette.

As a lover of vintage, I was beyond excited to come across Modern Millie's. The store front window boasts retro reproductions from brands like Hell Bunny and even Voodoo Vixen (I think) with racks of those dresses and even some accessories filling the front half of the store. Move toward the back half of the store and you'll find some true vintage items; I saw some stunning dresses on the left wall for about $120 (though some start way lower!) There are also shoes, hats, and even purses on the one wall; everything from modern coach to vintage bags with lucite detail and even a beret or two! Although I didn't buy anything this visit, it was definitely worth the trip in.

We stumbled upon this cool vintage/new/consignment shop while on a girls trip in Boston. Located in the touristy area with alot of other shops and boutiques this one was like no other. Their cool window display lured us inside. At first glance it appears that everything is new, and I believe the majority of their inventory is. While alot of the fashions appeared to be vintage at closer glance they were reproductions. We found a few rows of consignment in the back, all very unique pieces but not truly vintage. That didn't deter us from walking around and admiring their loot. All three of us gals agreed this was a cool shop, a mix of modern and vintage and definitely one of a kind pieces. If you are going for a retro look, just love to dress differently, or are having a pin up photo shoot this is the place to shop. Aside from clothing they had the most unusual selection of purses and shoes. I was in love. While their prices weren't discount they weren't horrible either. However I do have a problem paying the same price I would at Kohl's for a new piece for a used clothing item on consignment. While you won't find any bargains here but you will find an outfit that will set you apart from the crowd. The entire store was eye candy and their displays were impeccable. We had fun just perusing through the racks. They also had clean, not an afterthought dressing room to try on your fantasy outfit. And I did just that with a cool 90's inspired shirt, however it looked much better on the rack than it did on me. Four stars because while standing at the counter waiting to to gain access to the dressing room I was largely ignored by the two clerks having a non work related conversation. When I was acknowledged it was a bit snippy like a customer was an inconvenience. What a shame. The one clerk was a mirror of a pinup right down to her beehive hairdo and winged eyeliner. Had she been nicer I would have paid her a compliment!

I WANT IT ALL. I'd like the garments in Modern Millie to line my closets! And those bags!!! The previous cupcake bag, epic celestial planetary dress and Ouija board statement skirt were among what caught my eye and put me to slavering. Leave enough to pick up a matching pair of glorious shoes from the tidy, fabulous selection.

Awesome! What an amazing store! I've been to Salem about six times since moving here 18 months ago. This is my first stop in here. My niece and her wife were visiting as we stopped in. I couldn't be more excited st what I saw the Mktging is amazing! The shoes, of which I just had to get a pair are crazy. Love, love, love them! My niece surprised me by purchasing which in itself was cool. Anyway, back to the shoes. The quality is really great. The soles of the shoes, stitching of the upper shoe, the details on the heels, wow! I am going back real soon to grab another pair and to try on the many dresses, sweaters, and blouses I saw. Great job ladies! So excited that I found you! If you're in Salem or the area you have to stop in! Oh I almost forgot! They have great accessories too! Scarves, hats,jewelry, etc!

I love this local gem! I had a themed party to attend and the gal who helped me was patient and kind. They offer sizes to fit every body, and always have something too cute. They also have an online shop if you can't get to Salem (October is crazy!) and that's another way to support a local business.

What a cute shop! It was an experience just entering this store. If you enjoy unique, retro, and vintage items, this place it for you! I was really happy to see that they had all sizes petites and plus and just an amazing variety of clothing. I have seen a couple items they had online before but it was so awesome to be able to see it, touch it, and try it on before purchasing it.

Had no issue with the actual contents of the store, but the women working at the time were saying AWFUL things about the girls in the fitting rooms. Was extremely appalled at what they dared to say in this very small store (it wasn't hard to hear them!). Calling one girl "fat", saying that they couldn't believe she asked for a medium when she "really needed a large", etc. I will never come back, and I advise anyone considering them to just shop from the places they get their dresses: Unique Vintage, Hellbunny, etc.

I LOVE this store of retro vintage style clothes. I was just in this past weekend. Staff was beyond helpful and pulled dresses for me to try on. Encouraged me to go out of my comfort zone. They listened to my style and had no judgement when I explained I felt something did not fit. Very rarely does a store have such specialized stock in EVERY size. I'm a bigger gal, and I had SO. MUCH. TO. CHOOSE. FROM. No special ordering. This is just amazing. I do not live in Salem, but I will be ordering from their website. On a Covid note, staff were wearing masks, were nice about their capacity rules, and needing to aks a customer to stay outside if necessary, and sanitized each fitting room between customers. This alone earns 5 stars.

What a cool tucked away vintage shop in Salem! The outside display of 50's style dresses, saddle shoes and cat shoes immediately drew me in! I use to wear saddle shoes in elementary schools and have a weird drawing to them as they seem to be coming back. Walked into this little shop to see various dresses, skirts, tops, vintage clothing mixed with modern flare. I spotted a kitty cat sweater I just had to have and the girl working there told me they just got them in that day! I of course took it as a sign and had to purchase it for myself. Was tempted with the rows of jewelry and gorgeous handbags but had to refrain due to weight limits on my suitcase that doesn't agree with my shopping habits! Overall great place to find quirky and cute outfits!

Fun, one-of-a-kind clothes shopping experience and shop. Second time was even more fun with my daughter to discover the vintage-style clothes. Who knew beakers and the periodic table could look so stylish and be comfortable and functional with pockets. Love your front window display! That's what originally lured me in... I'm obsessed with this store. It has great stock, it's in my favorite city, and it has the best handbags. I ordered a bat dress from there, it arrived so quickly! I love supporting this shop!

RACIST STORE I've been into this shop for many years. This was the first time I ever had a bad experience. First of all, the salesperson who followed me around like a hawk couldn't help but remark on my size (I'm a 1X) and age (I'm 34 and by the looks of her she was the same or older, maybe a rundown 28) but in a peppy passive way ("does that even fit you? If you don't buy this, I will" and "these are fun no matter what your age" shoes "we have a size 10" I'm an 8 "but they're great for wide feet") Despite this I was about to blow over $60 in stuff there when I saw something that sealed the deal for me. In the handbag rack was a modern made (meaning someone deliberately ordered this for the store) handbag caricature of a Native American woman. Just like the creature from the black lagoon bag they had right next to it. Please tell me how that's okay in 2021. Yes I'm Native American so I'm especially attuned to offensive imagery but the owners absolutely ordered this knowing full well what they were doing. I guess not everything is thoroughly modern with this shop! It's also crazy expensive, you can find everything here on unique vintage and ModCloth for half the price. Until they stop ordering racist shit I'm not going in again.

I loved this store! Retro, pin up, fashion and decor. The staff were super helpful. I bought a cute blouse, black with white polka dots, for work and a pair of sunglasses. I wish they had more pants. I was hoping for high waisted capris to go with my blouse, but all they had was a very limited selection of jeans.

A fabulous little shop in Salem that has a mixture of vintage, touching on all different eras and super cute, current fashion-forward styles. From the exterior, the shop is very inviting. With well put-together window displays, a hand-made street sign and sharply dressed mannequins standing outside the doorway, you can't help but step inside. The interior is bright, merchandised well and feels more like a boutique than a second-hand store, and the friendly, attentive staff creates a comfy shopping environment. As for the merchandise, very well selected...Vintage dresses abound, Great handbags-vintage as well as current, Shoes, Scarves, Little Jackets a Designer section and more. Everything is priced quite reasonably, and much lower than what you'd see in the city. This little gem of a store is heavenly. If you are a lover of vintage, unique fashionable pieces, or both its definitely worth it to take a special trip to Modern Millie in Salem, MA. I'm so excited that I found it!

The staff are attentive, kind, and helpful. The place has whimsy and a unique selection for all sizes. This was my 2nd visit to Modern Millie and I'll go back again.

This consignment store is better than most. This is why: it has a place to sit and mess around on your smartphone while your wife shops for dead people's clothes. Sure, it's really a bench intended for trying on shoes (new shoes, I'm pretty sure) but it's spacious enough for a few bored guys to perch on as well. Most women's clothing stores have NO place to sit what'soever. So therefore, this place is GREAT.

Does your style lean towards vintage, retro, or pinup fashion? Then look no further! Modern Millie is a fantastic little boutique with racks overflowing with gorgeous pieces. I was particularly impressed with their wide selection of unique dresses, pencil skirts, boots, and accessories. They carry the Hell Bunny brand, too, though they run a bit pricey. Since I live in New York, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for new items in their Etsy shop - because life is too short to have a basic wardrobe.

This is one of the few places I've seen that actually understand the term vintage and actually carries clothing that is. I got two beautiful dresses from the 1920's here. They were a little pricey, but they are a piece of history and the salesgal even helped me put a belt with it to make it more modern. Have fun in this treasure box!

This place is the bees knees! I have found so many neat vintage things there as well as a few high quality basics. The staff is very helpful but not overpowering. They are always playing good music too. The only time I'm ever disappointed there is when I go in pursuit of something specific because the place is small. It's best when shopping for fun.

Great little store. I've always been a fan of the vintage clothing stores that do it with style. And this is one of 'em. Little store- women's clothes only - selling vintage dresses, coats, jumpsuits (?!?), I found something straight out of Brady Bunch here... My girl had some luck finding some nice things here. If you're a broad and you like spending your mans' money, this is a place to do it.

Oh my goodness this is the best vintage/consignment store ever!! I live in ny and came up to Salem as part of my vacation and this little gem of a store made my holiday just that little bit better. Let me start by saying this store outweighs all the vintage stores put together in nyc full stop. I bought 4 dresses and a pair of shoes and all of that was excellent value for money. The most expensive dress which was a 60's shift dress which was $74 & the cheapest was a 70's maxi at $21. The shoes are replica vintage which is fine by me as I'm not keen on 'previously used' shoes and they had 25% off too. I am so glad I found this store, if you are within distance of Salem I definitely recommend making the trip here, it will be so worth it!! Oh and one more point, the staff were fabulous, so polite & friendly - they are the cherry on the cake in this store :) I cannot wait to come back next year when I'm up this way!!!

I LOVE this shop! Modern Millie's is a wonderful whimsy of a store that deals in vintage and modern consignment. Yes, the store is tiny (and it does NOT smell like moth balls), but it is well-organized, bright and merchandised perfectly. I often find myself wandering by just to check out the window display and peek inside at the outfits hanging on the wall. I have a weakness for vintage dresses, and Millie's provides the ultimate cure for what ailes me. There is a great selection of vintage clothes in all sizes, not just teeny-tiny. Its hard to find vintage dresses to fit my modern body, but I've never had that problem at Millie's. The review by Liz D. was rather moody. I have been in this store when its completely empty and when it was overrun by tourists. I've never once found myself overheated or annoyed. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a little bit to get to the rack in the corner, but you're sure to find something fancy once you get there. It really doesn't take a lot of patience to find anything in the store. The racks are organzied by specific items, i.e. shirts in one place, skirts in another, and mostly color-coded. Everything in the store is in season so you won't have to dig through summer dresses in December. I have found so many adorable outfits at Milllie's. The ladies at Millie's are expert stylists and so much fun to talk to. They have a knack for recommending pieces that I woulnd't have considered and I often walk out of the store with amazing stuff that they picked out for me. The girls are really sweet and know their stuff. The selection of clothes is handpicked, very clean, and well cared for. There are tons of awesome accessories, coats, handbags and hats too. The shoe selection is really something! I don't think the prices are outrageous at all. Especially considering I mostly buy vintage. Be prepared to spend a lot of money, but only because you won't be able to leave without two bag fulls of awesome stuff. This store is seriously 20% of the reason I live in Salem in the first place. It is definitely worth a special trip to Salem, especially if Modern Millie's is having a fashion show! Not to be missed!

I LOVE Modern Millie! This store is one of my favorite things about living in Salem. It has a great mix of daring vintage pieces, fun, modern things and outfits that are work-appropriate while still making you feel sexy and stylish. If you haven't tried vintage before, ask the friendly shop girls for help! They are great at showing how to put together an outfit that incorporates a vintage piece that you might not know how to wear, or adding just the right accessory to perfect a style. They also have an impressive knack for knowing exactly which pieces will look amazing on someone, even if they've just met them. I often find myself loving a piece that Laura, the store manager picks out for me more than the things I picked out myself. You can also find some great deals here! Don't bypass the sale bin at the front of the store--you can often find something great for 5 dollars just because it's been in the store a little longer than other things. There is a quick turnover in the store, which can be dangerous if you're a frequent visitor--there's always something new to fall in love with! So, the next time you're walking around downtown Salem, don't miss this fun, easy shopping spot. You're sure to get compliments on your unique finds!

Rarely do I wander in without wandering out with a fancy new frock or two. Modern Millie always has the best selection of gently used & gorgeous vintage & modern clothing at the best prices, plus adorable new shoes & purses to tie your whole look together. Their display window is the highlight of my morning walk to work & without fail, pulls me in at least 2-3 times a week. Hands down, one of the best clothing spots in Salem. You're guaranteed to find something unique & fabulous.

Modern Millie is one of the best consignment stores around! I always find a little something when I stop by and seem to have pretty good luck when I sell my items on consignment. The sales staff are incredibly friendly and helpful which is a plus.

I am obsessed with this place! Every day when I drive by I check out what new and cute outfits might be in the windows. Even though its a consignment and vintage store, they are very particular about what they sell and the type of condition its in. I have seen some very cute vintage dresses in here and every time I finally get a chance to go in, the dress I want is sold already! Definitely a great shop to check out if you're ever visiting downtown Salem.

Love this store, and so glad its in Salem. I have been going to Millie's since it opened last year, and have bought many dresses there, and just bought a super cute cotton dress today and am in love! New dresses are put out everyday so its best to check in on a regular basis. I went to Brimfield and saw many vintage dresses there and Modern Millie's is way cheaper and with a very sweet sales staff too!

Cute little shop. It's clean and well organized and the staff was friendly and mellow. Their prices also were fairly reasonable and at the time we were there they were having an excellent sale with many items 50% off and some 25% off. They had a nice selection of jewelry and handbags. My only gripe was that I did not find a lot of the pieces to be really "vintage". There were a lot of items from the Gap, Express and H&M. Many of these were marked at prices similar to what you'd pay for these items new in the store today (such as a tee shirt marked at $10 from the Gap). There were, however, lots of true vintage items from the 70s. They had a great selection of 70s dresses, for example. Very fun to browse. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

Wow! What a place! There isn't many stores like this in the world. This store is unique. As I was looking around I felt like I was raiding an old woman's closet. Who, by the way, is a hoarder (Seriously, who saves a 60 year old dress?) and has the best taste. The dresses are vintage and adorable. I bought a cute floral dress from the 60's for about $70. I wanted to buy more but didn't want to break the bank. The whole time I was shopping I kept having fantasies about this fabulous Mad Men party I could have. They also have modern clothes but I prefer the old vintage styles. The store clerks were very nice and helpful. They helped me pick out dresses and put them in the dressing room for me. I can't wait to come back and shop!
