Moe's Southwest Grill

A good place to pick up a meal in the Pooler area Moe's Southwest Grill, often simply called Moe's, was founded in December 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia. The name "Moe's" stands for "Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers," reflecting the brand's quirky and fun-loving personality. Moe's quickly gained popularity for its fresh, made-to-order Tex-Mex fare, including burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and salads. As of 2023, Moe's operates 628 locations across 37 states. This particular location is at the end of a line of stores. It seems a busy stop and had a good deal of customers when I went there for dinner. Parking was a little challenging due to it’s corner location and the volume of traffic for the other shops in the center. The menu is along the wall on your left as you enter the line to order your food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One person takes your order, one adds extras, one prepares your plate or bag and another checks you out. The food was prepared quickly right in front of you as you move down the line. The prices were reasonable given the economy and the amount and quality of food you receive. I ordered a chicken bowl with white rice and black beans. It was very good. The drinks and salsa are across from the register. They have a good selection of food to order and drinks to include iced teas. Overall I would recommend this to any hungry travelers in area for the food quality, price and staff.

Only got a half portion of the bowls I ordered, old stale chips, ripped chip bag, old rice, weird tasting pico, one tiny spoonful of weird tasting pinto beans, and over-salted guacamole. I don't know what they're doing here besides slapping old food together. Wouldn't recommend. Especially not from Uber eats.

Food and service was amazing! Especially Kaylynn she was awesome! But it's kind of ridiculous to try expect someone to eat a hot meal while they're beginning to sweat due to the ac being mot low enough. It was warm enough that I wouldn't doubt it if the ac is actually broken!

I got some fresh chips and food over the weekend and I just remembered the new worker Daniel. Usually don’t leave good reviews but he stood out with how nice he was and fast.

The girl up front with red hair is the ABSOLUTE WORST I wish I was kidding but my friends and I came from statesboro (which is 50 minutes away) to get a Stack because our statesboro moe’s shut down. My friend walks in first and orders his stack. Immediately this girl gives him a dirty look that makes all of us extremely uncomfortable. She began to complain (it was annoyingly flirty) over and over again how we should’ve gone to another moe’s to order a stack. (We just wanted our food) THEN I go to order and she starts telling me i STILL should’ve to another moe’s and I was trying to ignore her but she was cracking annoying jokes about how she would ruin my order because I happened to be wearing a georgia southern shirt. Then i ordered queso and she just said “No”. All in all the food was pretty good. But that service was probably the worst i’ve ever seen. This is my first time ever leaving a review but I thought yall had to be aware of this red headed witch.

I'm not sure what's happening at this Moe's. They don't provide any to go bowls. My quesadila fell apart at the cash register in a piece of foil that was smashed up. The employee was trying to shove the contents of the food back in the foil prior to me noticing it in the bag while it was spilling. The bag was ripped due to getting wet by the ingredients and food spillage. When I asked if the employees would have eaten the quesadila the way they presented it they even said no and shook their heads as if I was right. However, I was never offered to get a refund nor did they offer to make a new one. Gloves that they used were on the floor for customers to see. They said plates and bowls are only given to people who eat inside per management. It's extremely sad because laziness and no accountability to ensure that every customer has a good experience is no longer a priority. Hopefully, management will review their standards with this team because the service was lacking or perhaps the service just lacks with "certain" customers.

This restaurant is so delicious! I always love coming in and hearing their friendly greeting. Nachos are the best, but everything is delicious. There is little to no wait.

I was overcharged but they already made my meal so I paid for it, won't be back ever again and the food was not that good, I recommend eating out of local garbage can at least you won't be overcharged for that

The dining room was filthy and 4 employees were standing around doing nothing. "Welcome to Trash "

Stopped in for a quick bite tonight and when we walked in we did not get the customary "Welcome to Moes". My husband ordered his usual Homewrecker, but noticed that there were some items he usually gets not available. I ordered the Jalapeño Steak Salad in the edible bowl and the kids ordered the chicken bacon guacamole and a chicken quesadilla. The second Thing we noticed when we entered was how cold it was. On a day where it had a feels like temp of 52 I found myself shivering while I waited for my order to be made because it felt like it was 10 degrees colder inside the restaurant, This was the main reason we got it to go. The service was pretty speedy and we were in and out of there pretty quick. The food was good and filling as usual. Will be back for sure but hopefully the store temp will be just a bit warmer next time.

Good food for fast food Mexican food idk about ordering takeout again maybe just walk in and order I feel like they skimp out when your not there

Fast and convenient with outdoor seating with umbrellas! Staff is very friendly. No complaint. Yet I would say this: the indoor dining space is not well kept and looks a bit dirty.

I received the traditional "Welcome to Moe's" immediately upon entering the location. The food service area was clean and staff provided generous portions. This was a great quick stop on a road trip.

I literally watched as an employee walked a catering order out to the curb, while on their way, with gloves they reached into the trash at the door, pushed the trash down, and covered the hole? Then loaded the order in the clients car! Later the same employee was sweeping the floor, and wiping the table with a dirty rag, stiped and walked over and stocked the utensils lids and straws... yeah with out gloves or washing their hands. I mentioned that the store was nasty dirty in my check in. The employees were pleasant enough, that's the only reason any stars were provided. This is management and owners issue! PAY TRAIN ACPECT APRECIATE MORE!!!!

Moes let me down today, service was god awful. It felt real good to leave no tip after the horrible service I received.

This was by far the worst Moes that I have ever been to. They were short handed with workers (we were there around 4pm), their food was not prepared so we had to wait for the meat and vegetables to be restocked, their salsa bar was empty and the dining area seemed to not have been cleaned all afternoon. To top it off, their drink machine was having problems and their tea tasted as if it had been sitting their for over a week. We love Moe's but I would never go back to this location ever again.

Moes is a really good Mexican place that is cheep and has a lot of good deals the staff is never lazy and is always kind of you are going there you should get their stack which is good they also have good healthy stuff so it is always having veggies and it is a good place

Awesome Moe's awesome people and good food. I am not a huge fan of Mexican but the location is convenient. The people are friendly and I just love the wecome. Moez Monday is tradition !

Moe's catered an event for me in December. It was perfection! Absolutely could not have gone better. I ordered and paid online. Put in a date and what time I would need the food. They showed up on time, she asked where I wanted the food placed and that was it. We asked her if we could help her carry things in but she said no, she had it. So I went on getting things ready for the party. She set everything up and it looked beautiful. The food was great and all my guests said how good it was. It made the food part of my party so easy. I will definitely use them again for catering. I highly recommend them!

Decent food and the service is friendly and quick. Prices are reasonable. Food is similar to Qdoba or Taco Del Mar. The place is reasonably clean and not too noisy.

Dang. Was not was I expected. Didn't even give me sauces after I got the meal. Dude making the sauces and the chip bags worked so slow. I even tipped these people $ only to realize nothing was in my bag. And it was to go. They weren't even busy. Crappy experience my partner hyped this way to much for the experience in endured. Oh well lol

Love Moe's but this one was the worst one I have ever ate at . Came in at 11 you would think the food would be fresh the restaurant would be clean. Wrong. The beans were dried up. All the tables were dirty. The bathroom was nasty. Will never eat here again. Glad I am just passing thru.

Fast, fresh and friendly, no issues there. VERY VERY skimpy on the meat and had the nerve to put some back. Was overly generous with the rice though. This is not a good way to invite me back Moe! Thanks, Curly, Larry and Schemp

No greeting looking at me like what the hell do I want.. really? Even I asked how he doing and no response just staring at me like I did something wrong like really nice customer service buddy never again don't recommend

This Moes to this day since I've moved here a few years ago is still absolutely terrible. The service is trash. Major refinements needed. What does it take.

Normally at this location Moe's is pretty good but not so much tonight. The pinto beans were mushy and old. The serving line wasn't stocked nor was it clean dust and dander on top of the glass.

If Ameri-Mex is what you HAVE TO have make Moe's a last a last resort. You are better off going to Chipotle or jalapeños and waiting for the take out and spend less money than to spend entirely too much money on filler at Moe's. I ordered a steak quesadilla and what was literally a a dinner spoon worth of the last amount of Steak on my quesadilla In which the manager referred to it as a "portion". After placing it on the oven to melt he just left....Then waiting the additional minutes Another associate was able to help me and I was able to order the homewrecker burrito with chicken. So the same Story goes with the chicken (Just Not enough) However they are more than willing to pack on the (Filler) beans, rice and the additional toppings including the guacamole with absolutely no Question. In short Your return on investment when it comes to quality and quantity It's probably best served elsewhere unless you absolutely have to have this.

This Moe's is filthy!! I almost walked out but my kids were hungry so we ate anyway. That was a mistake because the food was room temperature abs everything was dry and obviously old. Disgusting. I gave 2 stars because the employees were nice but obviously not doing their jobs.

The food is always great. Sometimes the staff is a bit slow on filling up the salsas and cleaning tables. That is the reason why i dont give it a full 5 stars. There has not been one time that everything was fully filled up. Other than that, pretty good

Friendly and clean environment, and workers produced the food quickly. Everything on our orders were correct and we were even given extra chips. I would have liked a little more tofu in my bowl, but other then that, no complaints! Observed a worker cleaning the tables while we were in there which is always a good sign. We sat outside since the weather was beautiful. They had a few different salsa options, including a delicious mango seasonal one that I would recommend to anyone!

I used the online catering order feature for this location and was not dissapointed. Ordering online catering for a larger group was a bit daunting, I actually needed the food to arrive on time, but I was not disappointed. The catering manager is fairly new, and she did a wonderful job. The order was correct, quality was top notch, delivered on time and communication was excellent. I will definitely using the online ordering feature for future catering orders from this location again.

Not a huge fan of Moe's but my daughter loves it so I stopped in to grab lunch when shopping in Pooler. Needless to say this place did nothing to change my opinion. The young man that made out food was polite and seemed interested in doing a good job. The rest of the staff seemed to be completely disinterested. Our food was not warm. It would be a stretch to say room temperature. The chips were stale. They bent in half and were chewy. One of the drink machines was completely taken apart. The second only had 3 options out of the dozens available. When I asked about it the gentleman at the register said he would fix it. 15 mins later he can out with the boxes to fix the machine. By that time we had eaten our entrees and just wanted to get out. The restaurant itself was very dirty. Trash and food on the floor. The drink station was sopping wet and sticky. If I have any say so I won't return to a Moe's but I know I won't return to this one.

I absolutely enjoyed my visit at this Moe's. They were super friendly and heavy-handed when it came to portion sizes. I will be back for sure!

2- 1\2 stars OMG. If only I knew. I hated to throw away $10 worth of food but I was eating tasteless food. If I am going to gain weight eating unhealthy at least the food should be delicious. First time in Moe's And they are not better than Chipotle never will be. I ordered nachos and chicken, nachos were stale and the chicken very bland like eating chunks of water. The guacamole thin and bland, just a mushy green substance. I have only one good thing to say, the queso cheese was good. If I can get fresh, warm chips with that cheese I would be happy.

I've been a customer of Moes for a few years and then a Customer at this store since they've opened. It's cool watching the staff grow. When they opened they couldn't wrap a burrito, Now there experts. My biggest complaint about this location are the chips. The chips are made fresh daily, BUT there often (about 90% of the time I go, been to this location at least 60 times since they opened) either STALE or extremely greasy (like grease and oil dripping of the chip and soaking up the wax paper). This is horrible and just plain NASTY! Other than the chips the rest of the food appears to be amazing and at a reasonable price point for the amount of food you get and the quality. If you fix the chips I'd rate a 5/5 stars. I understand the chips are free but that doesn't mean the quality should suffer. Very disappointed when I came and ate here on such a beautiful day. The chicken was burnt on my burrito and don't even ask about the way my burrito was wrapped. When I continued to bite in my burrito and I noticed a pubic hair in there I immediately walk out and I will NEVER EVER RETURN TO THIS MOES

I always get the Joey when at Moe's. They used to be a bit inconsistent here, but they have gotten much better. I eat here about once a month. The staff is friendly, and they keep the restaurant clean. For the price, I think this is a good place.

Annoyed first off because out of beans at midday on a Sunday with one table filled. Very slow and disinterested, I was confused about where stuff was because of Covid and they offered no clarification. Also I've machine sprayed ice onto my shoes. Second worst moes I've ever attended.

Surprised this place has 100 score!! Disgusting place to eat!!! Drink area a disaster, floors trashy and had smeared food, and no clean table to sit at!! Had to wipe one down myself just to eat my food.

The queso is amazing as is the norm for Moe's. This location, however, was dirty and the food sitting in the containers looked really dry and unappealing.

I typically love Moe's but I was very disappointed with my last visit. My husband and I went in this past weekend for some dinner and the staff was awful. The food was fine but I did notice they were out of many items. The guy that took our order never said a word to me and just expected me to start giving him my order. The cashier was rude and the rest of the staff seemed like they didn't care at all about their job. I understand it's a fast food restaurant but aren't there just some common courtesy standards? Who wears sunglasses indoors when serving food?? There was also water all over the ground. I know we weren't the only people in there that night disappointed with the service. I'm bummed because I love Moe's but I'm going to steer clear from this one.

Was not greeted with usual yell of "Welcome to Moe's!" Food and drink were good. That's where the good news stops. Drink stations were is disarray, floors were wet and slippery, tables and floors dirty, ripped seat cushions and crooked table tops. Bathrooms followed suit. Good place to pick up a Togo order, on second thought after seeing how the dining room is, I can't imagine the kitchen.

Terrible service, filthy, out of numerous menu items. Both trash cans were overflowing, with food stacked a foot high on each trash can, chips and other food were all over the floor. They must use the same soured, dirty towel to wipe down the tables, because every table smells like soured wet laundry. They need some help. I'll be going to Tijuana Flats from now on.

One of the worst Moe's/fast food restaurants I've been to. I don't know if they were having a bad day or what but the place was filthy. Soda machine covered in old orange soda, food all over the floors, all the veggie containers were almost empty, food all over the prepping counters. Employee talking on her phone the whole time using her Bluetooth ear buds. The place just looked super run down and not cared for. Employees didn't seem to care either. I typically don't mind a little mess since I've worked in the food industry and understand lunch rushes but this was so bad, I was hesitant to eat my food. The food was ok, definitely not fresh. We didn't see their health score so we asked where it was posted and the employee said "they've been busy and haven't had time to display it". Luckily they received a 96 grade back in October of 2019 but not sure how they would have scored now. EEK!

Quite possibly the nastiest restaurant I have ever been in. I didn't realize it until I already had my food. Floor was disgusting, all tables had not been wiped, water all over the floor back near the bathrooms... when I left I realized the floor mat when you come in was filthy and hadn't been vacuumed in days. The only reason I gave it a two star is because the food tasted pretty good, although I was nauseated by all the filth by the time I sat down. Honestly the owner of that place should be ashamed! I am a franchise owner and I cannot imagine my business looking like that. Horrible horrible atmosphere and FILTHY!

The last few times coming to the location in Pooler, GA has been horrible. Our family has always liked Moe's but their service has gone down so much that I would just rather eat somewhere else. First off, when we walked in they do not greet us, instead the employee's acted like we were bugging them by coming in. I asked for queso and was told we are out, really? As we were paying for our food, the girl working the register was so rude. The whole restaurant was dirty, food all over the floor, tables not wiped down, drink machine was out of order.

We used to love going to this Moe's. The Staff have really made this place off-putting. They dont greet you anymore, the food quality has become TERRIBLE. On Sunday 5/8, they ran out of cheese. How do you do that? Poor management, and staff that just dont care. I would not be surprised if this place closes because of the magnitude of the terrible staff that currently work there. Avoid this place.

Let's talk about clean since it's the topic on everyone's mind these days. First as we walked in an employee was walking through the parking lot carrying catering trays - her phone lay inside the top one and they were all completely exposed to the serving area. We place our order and the young lady doing the toppings was less than friendly. Then we try to find a seat and every other one is blocked off for "social distancing" and the available tables had clearly not been cleaned in sometime. At some point the "topping young lady" came to the dining room to clean. She managed to clean the legs of one chair and nothing else before heading back to the kitchen none of the tables were wiped or cleaned during our stay, including the one we sat at that we wiped off with a dry napkin. The worst experience at a Moe's yet. Won't go back that's for sure - if this is their attention to clean now imagine what it is normally

My husband and I went to this Moe's tonight early....served at 5:30 p.m. There were 5 people behind the counter. Not a single table in the entire place was clean....mind you there was only one other diner at this time. Their appeared to be a piece of gum stuck to the glass partition in front of the meat section in the line. The drink area was wet and sticky from one end to the other. I was appalled. I wish I knew who owned this Moe's or could find out so I could complain directly. We have been going to this Moe's since it opened at this location. Never have I seen it this bad....everyone behind the counter could have cared less. They were too busy gossiping about stuff to bother with a clean store. I find this sad because we really like Moe's. The staff they had a few months ago was superb....they were disgusting tonight. Maybe the health dept. needs to make a visit!

Yuck once again, from another Pooler area restaurant. The food was cold. Service was slow. I had to ask for my queso three times after they forgot to give it to me, initially. The chips were so nasty from double frying them after sitting and getting cold. They were soggy and greasy. I usually love Moe's but this one sucks!! Only one bathroom was operating and it was dirty. So highly disappointed with this location. The worst was, no welcome to moe's upon entering!!

it was extremely slow and two of the employees were yelling at each other right in front of us. also being very rude as we were ordering.

Placed a mobile ordered at 6 om, and scheduled a pick up for 7 o'clock, we waited in the store for about 45 minutes, and at 7:20 the hadn't even started making the food an hour and 20 minutes after the order was placed. Very disappointed

Definitely could be better. There is NEVER sour cream with the kid's mini; every single location always includes sour cream. The food isn't consistent. Today the rice was crunchy, chicken was good. The last visit was opposite. Tiny amount of chips with food also. Parking is horrendous. Could be great with some tweaking.

Even though it was busy because it was Monday and burritos were only $5, the food was good and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We didn't feel rushed and enjoyed our meals very much. Great job!

I literally could eat Moe's every day of the week. I love their food, BUT this location ruins it. Let's start with the pros: queso. Service was mediocre at best, dining room was incredibly dirty, tables and floors were sticky, wet and disgusting. Looks as if they have not cleaned the dining room in days. Both soda machines were out of EVERYTHING, except water. Both employees checked the machine twice during our visit, noticed that they were completely out of everything and walked away leaving the machine empty. What appeared to be the manager brought the cartridge to the machine with a new employee, showed her how to change the cartridge, but left the machine still empty with a full cartridge in hand. All of this while the place was not busy at all; a total of 4 customers including ourselves. They were out of a lot of the fillings/ toppings and my quesadilla was left on the grill and was burnt. Chips tasted like they were last nights leftovers. After visiting this location, I checked other reviews with similar complaints dating back to 2016. THIS LOCATION NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.
