"Australian-Vietnamese celebrity chef Luke Nguyen has put his energy into creating fresh, modern, healthy renditions of Vietnamese street food and traditional family recipes at Moi Moi, his new Hong Kongrestaurant. A master at balancing sweet and sour tastes as well as spicy and bitter, Nguyen gets big raves for his food, especially thepanfried rice cakes topped with tiger prawns and caramelized pork neck. Other hits includegreen tea–smoked duck in rice-paper rolls, citrus wild salmon, caramelized Kurobuta pork belly, a pho made with raw Wagyu beef, and slow-braised free-range chicken drumsticks with coconut juice, fish sauce, ginger, and garlic. Moi Moi has an extensiveand creative cocktailmenu to accompanythe feast."
Generous portions & authentic tastes, love the wagyu beef pho soup, warm and refreshing. Pomelo salad is very good, the citrus food is fresh & juicy! Unlike some places, the pomelo flesh is served in large pieces, instead of small broken pieces.

This Vietnamese restaurant makes very good beef rice noodle. Other dishes were also tasty. Monday to Friday, lunch hour is always busy. Worth checking out if you like Vietnamese food.

Delicious Pho with yummy beef soup. Appetizer is nice, taste balance. Overall good, but the office lobby smell not good and flow by wind into the shop. Staff is helpful.

Moi Moi was associated with Vietnamese Australian chef Luke Nguyen. Apparently that is no longer the case. After eating here recently I can see why as the quality of the food has really deteriorated. My review is based on the following:
Food: 3 stars
Environment/Service: 3 stars
Value: 2 stars
I came to Moi Moo when it first opened and we were lucky enough to meet chef Nguyen who was in town to help support the opening. The food back then I would have given 5 stars. The roast chicken was one of the best I had ever had. I was surprised to read in a number of reviews that the chicken was dry and not very tasty. I can see why after eating here recently. I can’t believe this is the same dish. My wife joked that it must have been left over for yesterday and was reheated. That is seriously what it tasted like. The accompanying sauce really sauce the dish.
The pork chop with coconuts ice and egg omelette was the best part of the meal. The pork chop was cooked nicely and had a strong lemongrass and garlic taste, which I really enjoyed. The rice was over cooked and I didn’t taste the coconut. A lot of HK folks will use Nha Trang as a comparator for Vietnamese restaurants. Nha Trang has the exact same dish and overall I liked the version here better. The pork chop is tastier but the rice wasn’t executed well.
I have had the waygu beef pho here previously as part of the lunch set. The broth is good but they really skimp on the beef. There is an extra charge for 6 more slices. I would recommend paying for the extra beef or not ordering this dish at all.
I’m really sad to see the quality of the food here slide down so much. At this price point, the food quality doesn’t justify the price. Neither does the atmosphere as the restaurant is located in an office building and not somewhere in Hollywood road. I am unlikely to come back.

Beef pho has a lovely soup broth, very flavorful and well balanced - not too salty or overwhelmed by strong herbal tastes. Pieces of beef are tender. Spring rolls are crispy with nice fillings, rice paper rolls not bad too. I would definitely come back again to try other dishes, and of course, encore the beef pho again! Really enjoyed my meal!

Tasty vietnamese fare popular with work lunch crowd, we had three dishes vegetarian and some seafood, nicely done. Affordable prices, will return. Possible to eat all vegetarian.

While it was tasty, for the price the food and service wasn't up to what I would expect (based on other Vietnamese places nearby). My friend asked for some chili sauce for his noodles but was told by the waitress there was sauce inside (there wasn't really) and then walked off. We had to ask someone else to bring it over! There are cheaper places where the service and provision of condiments are better!

a really chic restaurant with good service. had the fresh rolls and tofu vermicelli cold noodles. the staff were friendly and seated us even though we were way too early for our reservation, which was great! also our water glasses were topped up constantly and we were served really promptly even though the restaurant was busy. the food wasn't amazing though. I was hoping for some herb flavours in either dish. the tofu was nice and crispy but was served with just super salty soy sauce - a different dressing with some herb or spice flavour would have made that dish completely different. great service and presentation but the flavour wasn't there for me. (This review is only for the HK$14.50 lunch special - we didn't order from full menu)

Yelp
Was hoping that this celebrity chef restaurant wouldn't disappoint like the many in HK, this too failed to live up to the hype and star power. Came here for lunch with my friend and we ordered the wagyu beef pho and the lemongrass chicken lunch set for $168 each. While lemongrass chicken looked tasty it was a fairly small portion served with plain white rice. My pho was murky, the rice noodles was hard (which was strange since it looked like fresh rice noodles) and the meat was overcooked and dry. Sadly, the broth was just too overpowering to the point that I couldn't really enjoy it. I will forgo this place and stick to the cheaper and a bit more satisfying Nha Trang next time I am looking for a pho fix.
