Mokoko is a beautiful and cute café with a relaxed environment. Perfect for reading a book or working on your laptop. My boyfriend and I had their almost croissant with a cappuccino and hot chocolate. The croissant was absolutely delicious and quite big for one person to finish by themselves. I highly recommend this lovely café :)

Very divisive experience. The cakes were stunning (I had a salted caramel brownie and my husband had a lemon drizzle cake). The coffee was not good at all. We also had to carry the cakes and drinks up a steep flight of stairs. Quite pricey as well.

Mokoko's cinnamon buns and almond croissants are the tastiest, flakiest, and butteriest in Bath. I think they tweaked their recipe a bit, because it's yummier now!

Had been wanting to try this place for a while and it didn’t disappoint, the coffee was really nice. The service however not so much. When I was given my coffee I said to my partner how good it looked, we’d had a long morning and just received some bad news so I was feeling very ready for a good coffee. One of the members of staff then remarked very loudly ‘oh at least we know how to make a good coffee, not like we do it all day or anything’ and went on to keep complaining with her colleague who had made the coffee. This made it quite an unpleasant experience and sadly I will not be returning. I myself work in hospitality and I know how busy it must’ve been on a Saturday particularly in its convenient location in Bath city centre, but this service felt quite unnecessary.

Friendly service. Some of the best breakfast pastries in Bath, very fresh and crisp. Lovely latte. Didn't try the bread and cakes but all looked delicious. Would come again.

We tried their chocolate cookie - that was so fresh and gooey - just melted in the mouth (didn’t take a photo) Tried their latte and also got a sourdough loaf to take home which was really good!

I came to Bath recently, for the first time, on a mini little break before starting at the University part time. I did my research before travelling, and saw Mokoko was highly rated due to its pastries and scenic location right by Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. I decided to add it to my foodie list, and arrived as the shop opened at 9am, and it was a Monday. I was so earlier the pastries had not been put out on the counter! I had planned to get an Almond Croissant, seeing amazing reviews for this, but overheard that these were not on the menu on that day (something to keep in mind if you're going for a specific item!). I wondered what else was on the menu and was given a list of options, where I picked the Almond Praline Chocolate Pain Suisse. It was a mild morning so I was able to sit outside, looking onto the amazing view of the Abbey - as well as the pastry! Now this was definitely one of the prettiest pastries I have even seen, which was a very positive start. Given the pastries had just been bought out I did almost expect it to be warm, which it was not at all. Nevertheless, I bit into the pain suisse. This was beautiful. The pastry was amazingly crispy and buttery - you can tell they use real butter opposed to margarine (not only by the taste but also by how the pastry comes together when you bite into it). The filling was plentiful, and the nuttiness well balanced with the chocolate. This is one of the best pastries I have ever eaten, made better by the views this place has to offer. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend popping by Mokoko if you're in Bath, and intend on returning myself (hopefully to try the Almond Croissant!)
