Excellent coffee This is quite possibly the best coffee that we've had in France. The beans were good quality and the resulting coffee was rich, smooth and creamy. The milk was steamed to perfection - the barista really knows how to make coffee!

This was recommended by my Lyon walking tour guide. It’s one of the best coffee and espresso roasters in the Lyon area. Coffee is very smooth and aromatic. Chai latte has a strong ginger taste to it! There’s a nice alfresco area to dine in and people watch. Highly recommend this spot for great coffee

Great coffee and delightful ambiance. We frequented this place nearly every day during our stay in Lyon, usually towards closing time. Tried the Ethiopia filtered coffee, and the lady who served us was exceptionally pleasant.

Iced coffee tastes very good. I recommend ordering it with oat milk. The coffee, milk and ice ratio is just perfect. Hot cappuccino was also good, but iced is much better :) Owner is also nice. Cafe shop is just next to Hotel Dieu.

Great coffee, they know what they’re doing unlike most specialty coffee shops around the city!

My plan for the day was simple: visit Hotel Dieu and treat myself to a pastry with a steaming hot latte at a quaint café. Luckily, I stumbled upon Mokxa café. The baristas were super welcoming. As I peruse the pastry selection, I'm torn between indulging in banana bread or a chocolate chip cookie. Aware of the sugar content in cookies, I opt for the banana bread, especially after one of the baristas recommends it, mentioning her own fondness for it despite not typically enjoying banana bread. I'm pleasantly surprised by its unique texture—denser than usual, with delightful pieces of caramel that melted in my mouth. The latte is just as delightful—strong and hot, but not scalding. Overall, my experience at this cozy café leaves me thoroughly satisfied.

A favorite! (Because I’m always Iooking for a coffee shop to work at, preferably with my laptop, know that this one is for hanging out with a friend and grabbing a coffee to go.) Great place to stop for a top notch latte or espresso, or for beans to go. There is seating inside and outside. They will grind the beans based on your needs and give advice on which beans to purchase. We also bought a great travel aeropress from them. A must on our regular trips to Lyon!
