We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Motel. Great position on a ridge above a watering hole where you can see animals come to drink and bathe. There is a viewing area featuring trees with colonies of monkeys and a pool terrace with occasional raiding parties of baboons so watch out for your stuff.
The visitor centre, where you can book safaris, is a 2 minute walk away.
Food at the restaurant was good chop bar standard with some western and Asian options.
The staff at the motel were helpful and welcoming, nice people.
We had a room with a/c, which was spartan but very roomy and airy, the mattress were comfortable.
The WiFi was solid, only one brief outage when we were there, and fast enough to stream media.
The pool was very welcome, especially after a walking safari, but it is badly in need of maintenance and swimmers should be asked to shower before using the pool. We’ve given 4 stars but it would be nudging 5 if the pool was in better condition.
We would definitely stay here again.
