The crew are scolded by the guide for spooking the elephants, which is very dangerous.

All I can say is WOW just wow! This is my second time visiting. The first was in 2007 and I recently returned with a family of my own and we all loved it. It was totally worth the drive from Accra. We did the driving safari and saw the elephants up close and lots of other animals. Seeing the animals in their natural habitat is magical ✨

A very good and affordable safari experience. Lacking a little on the interpretation & dining. But well worth the visit. Note you need to inform in advance if you want to go on night safari, but is well worth it!

Mole National Park is a must go if you are a tourist in Ghana. Seeing the animal is their natural habitat is way better than caged in a zoo. You get to enjoy nature with them. The air quality here is amazing. Beautiful trees, flowers and insects you may have never seen before are all dwelling in this beautiful nature park. And the icing on the cake is the very friendly elephants. I was fortunate to see them in various places all around the park and got very close to them and they were not bothered I was there. It's truly amazing And Paul our tour guide was good at spotting the animals and knows where they most are resting or feeding. Such a great guy! If you want to do this on a budget, you can message me and I will give you the hints for free. I did the entire trip from Tamale to the place with less than 500.00

It was a true adventure to visit Mole National Park and see some animals for the first time. You will see different kinds of animal bones and skins at the museum. It's a very nice place to visit and spot different kinds of animals. You will feel nature closer to you.

Mole is by fay the best place in Ghana to spot wildlife, especially the savannah elephants. Tours are available on short notice through the central visitor's centre. Guides are very, very knowledgable and do their best to show as much animals as possible. But, it's a safari, so no guarantees!! The park's lodge has a various range of rooms that differ in luxury, ranging from chalets with a small balcony and AC to (rather large) rooms with fans. We were in the latter and didn't miss the AC as you can ventilate the room really well trough the windows. However, we were staying in the relatively cool period in July/August. You can easily fill three or four days here doing the different tours: by jeep, on foot, night-safari.

I had a wonderful time at Mole National Park. We stayed at the Mole Motel, it was a quick walk to the information centre and where we organized our safaris. It was very affordable, but bring lots of cash with you, as all safaris are paid in cash. We mostly had Adam as our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the animals. He took the time to explain habits and animal names. We did two walking safaris, one driving safari and one night safari. I would recommend them all!

We stayed in the 3 bed family room and it was very spacious. I personally loved the locally made shea butter hotel soaps they provided each room. They had American and Ghanaian food and provided large portion sizes. The reviews about baboons stealing your food is very accurate. It makes for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend you do both the drive and walking safari. Recommend spending 1-2 nights there.

Taxi from Larabanga to the park: 40-50 cedis. Entrance to the park 46 cedis (prices on their website are not updated). Safaris are from 7:00-9:00, 11:00-13:00, 15:30-17:30 or the night safari 19:00-21:00. For walking safari you only pay 12 cedis per hour per person (so 24 cedis in total), for jeep safari you rent the car for 200 cedis per hour (so 400 for the 2 hours, you can’t do less). You can share the jeep with 7, so at the end the price is reasonable. Maybe I was unlucky, I don’t know, but in the 2 hours we didn’t see much, just 1 elephant, some monkeys and some antelopes. Other people told me as well they didn’t see much. Some guys went camping for 2 nights in the park and saw nothing. From the swimming pool of the motel you can actually see more, as elephants go to the pool below to drink.. but of course they are very far. I don’t understand why we didn’t go there with the jeep since apparently elephants are always there. Tbh I was very disappointed and wouldn’t go back again.
