"Museum of Literature Ireland Wander through the historic rooms of Newman House on Dublin's St. Stephen's Green to explore the art of Irish literature through a series of thoughtful exhibitions in the Museum of Literature Ireland, or MoLI. The first gallery covers the founding of University College Dublin in 1854, and then leads on to an exhibit with quotes from the Irish writers. Much of the MoLI is dedicated to James Joyce, with a model of Joyce's Dublin and the first-ever copy of Ulysses on display in a glass case. Different galleries display old fashioned desks and typewriters as well as interactive digital and audio displays, reading areas, and a film. A writers' room is furnished with tables, paper, and pen, as well as advice from Irish writers, so you can start your own piece. Make sure to browse the bookshop on the way out for all types of literary-themed gifts including notebooks and jewelry, and grab a coffee on the terrace of the Commons cafe."
The museum has special architecture, a lovely little café with delicious cakes and a beautiful outdoor area. It also has a lot to offer inside. It has interesting things to see, it is modern and the displays are beautiful. There are also some activities for young and old people to try!

I visited many fabulous museums during my time in Dublin but MoLI was my favourite - so carefully and tactfully curated, giving a unique and immersive understanding of both the past and the present of Irish literature. Excellent gift shop, too, with a fantastic collection of works by Irish writers.

My second visit. First visit during Covid and I was really really fascinated. Second visit today and got to see the collection from Dublin Writer’s museum. Top floor has Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis which I enjoyed (the exhibition was an hour long, I should have asked since I intended to sit through but only make 30 minutes in there. Small shop and cafe area. Love the outdoors overlooking Iveagh gardens. Good day even for just a coffee in the Sun.

One of the best museums I have visited in a long time - great use of visuals, sound, history! Such a clever and well thought out way to present Ireland’s great literature. The staff were very kind and helpful, could not recommend this museum enough. Would have stayed even longer if I could have.

It is an interesting place to visit and learn more about the building itself as well as Irish authors. I especially liked the top floor where there’s space to write a few words by yourself and read what others have written. As it was evening we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the garden but it seems like a beautiful place.

Very biased as an English teacher, but this museum is incredibly interesting. €12 for a student ticket seemed steep, but once we were finished with our visit it was agreed that we’d be happy to pay that again if not more. Many interactive parts are located throughout the experience. Marie was especially helpful and friendly during our visit. Gardens were gorgeous also.
Café was nice but definitely steep.
