Molino de Albolafia

The place is great and the bridge next to the fountain in the evening looks like amaizing, but when I arrived it was dark and the fountain was dim and had no lights which made photographing it useless

This water mill is situated next to the Roman Bridge on the northern bank of the River Guadalquivir. It was built under Abd al-Rahman II ,4th Emir of Cordoba ,in 9th century to carry river water up to the Emir’s palace

Little more than a place for the stray cats to snooze in the sun. Cute though!

Lovely ancient water mill, shame about the state of it. Built to take water from the river to the Royal Palace - The Alcazar opposite. Right next to the Roman Bridge and very close to the Mezquita/Cathedral.

Nice and interesting. You'll pass by it after exiting the Alcazar on your way back to the roman Bridge and its main city gate. It is interesting and actually quite impressive. You shouldn't miss it.

Ancient watermill visible from the Roman Bridge as well as from the banks of the river. It's in a pretty dilapidated shape, and I did not see any access to the structure.

The Molino de la Albolafia is a medieval noria or waterwheel used since Islamic times to supply the gardens of Córdoba, Spain, with water from the Guadalquivir River.

Beautiful location and very interesting remains of an ancient water wheel. Near the Roman Bridge. Visible from the bridge, but there are better views closer. I wouldn't necessarily make a special trip, but definitely worth the few minutes extra to walk by and study for a few minutes. It is not illuminated at night.
