Went in on Father’s Day looking to rent a board and got lucky enough to talk to Bo. I’m still a beginner riding on longer boards from the east coast but after talking to my guy, he convinced me to go with something a littler different but suitable for the local breaks, and I actually bought a new board to stash at my parents house on this coast. Had I not been helped by him who knows what I would have ended with. Surfed at C street the last three days and because of my board selection, got on more waves than most of the people around me and had my best session to date. Bo sized me up perfectly as far as experience and my larger size and put me on exactly what I needed. Just the right push outta my comfort zone. He even helped my 7 year old get some cool swag. Everything in the shop is dope. Definitely check them out.

We purchased 2 shirts for our son and had a full conversation with the sales person that we did not live in town and were hesitant about purchasing the t-shirts and being able to return them. We were told we could return them back to our card. I explained that it would not be my husband and I as my daughter who lives in Santa Barbara would be the one to return the merchandise if needed. Again, we were told that it was not a problem. Even throughout the entire conversation about the fabric and possibly having to return it did she tell us that the return would be a “gift card only situation” it was simply never discussed. We never would have purchased the items had we had this information upfront. The t-shirts did not work out and my daughter tried to return them yesterday and was only given a gift card which will not work as we do not live in California. Once I spoke to the owner/manager on the phone today, there was no accommodation made at all, and informed us that their employee (he said was his wife) would never state that we could return it to our card. I can understand if there was a miscommunication between the sales clerk and ourselves but he was not willing to do anything to rectify the situation. In fact he did nothing other than tell us that he “had no sales today and could not give us a credit on our credit card”. Be warned if purchasing from this company that there is absolutely no returns and they are lacking in customer service skills. Customer service is so important and can pay off down the road to ensure a successful business or not.

I purchase two board shorts and a t-shirt from Mollusk. Pretty low availability in sizing (no odd sizes) on board shorts. I bought slightly small and they have become very tight after a couple washes. The t-shirt feels extremely worn after just a couple months. The neck collar has completely folded in on itself and looks horrible and feels worse. For a $45 t shirt with a simple logo I would expect so much better. Disappointed to have spent $200 on clothes that do not fit or are low quality.
