The best locally owned establishments in Canberra - SilverKris

"Reopened in an old bank space within the Civic area’s Melbourne Building after a previous closure, this upmarket-yet-cozy speakeasy retains a hard-to-find entrance via a back alley off Odgers Lane (look for an unmarked door and a red handrail). The venue features quirky elements such as a converted vault used as a function room, a baby grand piano for live jazz nights, and an extensive collection of over 500 whiskies." - Rebecca Blackburn

Incredible, no other words. If you've been to Baxter's inn, in Sydney, then your will vibe with Molly. Very very good, exceptional staff, exceptional cocktails, magnificent whisky selection 👌

Loved it here - such a sexy romantic vibe with low mood lighting and a live jazz band. Cocktails were delicious, food was on point (highly recommend the spinach and artichoke dip) and staff were friendly. Would return.

Definitely among the best cocktails in Canberra. Get pretzels to snack on. Great atmosphere and vibe. Great spot for hangout with friends or for a date.

We have dropped into Molly a number of times, usually as a before show/dinner drink. Last night we were heading to the Canberra Comedy Festival, but any excuse really. I had a house concoction called a Medicina with a tequila base. It had a smokey something and flavored salt on the rim. This was no margarita though. In fact it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. I've been dreaming about it ever since. My partner had a variation of her favorite, whisky and fresh apple juice. She chose a particularly fine single malt, some might think that's not the done thing, but it certainly tasted amazing. We didn't have any food, apart from pretzels so I can't comment on that.

First time in Australia, visiting on business. Great atmosphere and amazing service with great drinks. If you’re looking for a Speak Easy, this is a great place to go.

This place is amazing! The whole setting of the place is truly one to remember. From the very well hidden entrance to the aesthetic of the whole spot, an absolute joy to see. Having the whisky tasting experience here for my Bux party, with Lukas hosting us, was one of the most memorable parts of the night. An extremely knowledgeable whiskey enthusiast and charismatic individual. Would very highly recommend both Lukas and the entire venue for whatever your whisky requirements are! 11/10

It was fun to try finding it and then what a surprise when we got there. Loved the aesthetics and atmosphere. We were there early for a drink so did miss out on the vibe and music when it’s I. Full swing g. Cocktails were fabulous and just pretty chilled out place. Shall come back to soak more of the feel of this place.

It feels like a small time capsule from the prohibition era. Small and cosy, there is a regular jazz band that plays, and an endless choice of whisky, gin and cocktails. It can get a bit pricey but worth it for tasting experiences and to try new drinks or experience something different. The staff are great, the food is delicious and you definitely come here for the drinks.
