This place leans heavy on the iconic Molly's Reach cafe of Beachcombers fame (TV series on CBC in the 70s). It still has the huge sign out front, and the amazing location right at the foot of the wharf in Gibsons. The actual food is from the Black Bean Cafe located inside. It's self service as you order at the front counter and anything that you can't bring to the table with you they will bring out when it is ready.
Inside is a bit tired and has a lot of nostalgic photos, some of which are from the Beachcombers TV show. The tables are pretty close together and because its an older building it can get noisy as sound echos around a lot. Food is OK, nothing special, and prices are on par with most of the other places in Sechelt. We got the Relic Burger with fries, smoked salmon bagel, turkey brie panini, and vegan veggie sandwich. All pretty good flavours (the burger can get a bit messy to eat as everything tends to slide out). The bread and bun were fresh and soft. It would have been nice to have an option to sub out the kettle chips with a salad or coleslaw. The only option was fries for an extra $5.
The baked goods and coffee menu looked good, but will have to try that next time for breakfast.
