Moloka‘i

Beautiful island full of friendly people. Easy to get around with rental car and see it all. Amazing beaches, plenty food options, and epic scenery. Highly recommended.

Go to molokai if you’re on an other island and have time to hop islands. You’ll find the real untouched hawaii here. No tourists, only real Hawaiians. Not only that but, the island is beautiful, no traffic like in maui, no hotels. Only empty beaches and beautiful nature and people.

In this seemingly most untouched of the Hawaiian islands, I found a tremendous peace in this isolated, gorgeous island. Not teeming with resorts, it seemed the most wild and pure. Tremendous views and wildly diverse ecosystem. Our guide was amazing, told us some tall tales and living history, capping it with some Sinatra. The people we met were real and kind and the most genuine of our trip.

Every island in Hawaii is different, but Molokai is a special place. Don't expect Molokai to meet your expectations, is like no other place and if you're fortunate, you'll experience a little bit of true Hawaii while you're there.

Great place if you want to just kick back and enjoy life. Many good drives around this small island. But even better is just to go to the Saturday Market or Friendly Market, buy all the fruit and vegetables you need and AHI, return to your place where you are staying and just enjoy the quiet and leisurely pace of Hawaiian Life.

I wasn't sure what to expect coming to the island. I will say that it is so small and quiet. And such a strong sense on community. I love how they have preserved their island. It is not for everyone and that's okay.

Seriously, Google? I can review an entire island? I can imagine at least 5 black mirror scenarios here off the top of my head. Regardless, I'll play along and give it 5 stars. A little slice of paradise, where you can get off the grid. Number one spot for axis deer. Buck chasin all day... every day.
