The staff was very friendly & the vibe here is great! The decor makes you feel cozy and there’s lots of goodies if you want to purchase any items on your way out. I have the vegan sushi platter and I thought it was delicious! The beet roll and the shallot roll were my favorites. The brown rice really blew me away! Finished it off with a sweet treat :) really loved this place. They serve vegan and non vegan options. It’s a great spot for a vegan!

Cannot imagine a more perfect last meal for our trip in Tokyo. Macrobiotic, vegan, organic, delicious, healthy, thoughtfully prepared, fresh, creative, generously portioned, and upbeat. Owner has amazing energy and is so friendly and kind. He’s run this restaurant for 48 years (!!). We loved everything we ordered. The homemade gyoza, steamed veggies, kimchi rice, vegan sushi and greens with sesame. Can’t wait to return!!

I at Mominoki House today for lunch. Food is delicious and well decorated. Staff friendly and attentive. They even have a small herb garden for fresh decorations and flavor for the dishes. Thank you🙏

Visited here on our last day in Tokyo and enjoyed a very cosy meal. One of our favourites of the trip we really enjoyed it as a pair of vegetarians 😊 have recommended to vegan friends that have also visited the city.

Vegan sushi platter was good but pricey. Tried Brown rice sushi for the first time. Menu has Organic and vegan food mentioned and the ambience is unusual setting with antique feels.

Unfortunately it failed to impress and was a waste of good money. The store smells moldy upon entering. The basil pasta looks like a soba and very salty, it was torture to eat it. I tried to eat to avoid wasting food and it was also expensive but it was just terrible. The kimchi risotto looks like okayu and no taste at all. The food was either too bland or too salty. Also they serve meat so we tried lamb chops and it was 4000 yen and sooooo small and was a bit salty again. Lamb barely had any meat on it. It was just terrible....

The eclectic self-described “food concept store”, located on the north side of Harajuku. Labeled a vegetarian restaurant, but also has fish and meat options available. Healthy and fresh tasting meals, sets including miso soup and a choice of rice including brown or fermented. Nepalese-inspired decor and furniture as the owner loves the country.

Vegan set meal is a joke. This is one of those restaurants that think all vegans want is raw vegetables. The best ingredient was the aubergine. The worst ingredients were straight from a supermarket and onto your plate. Raw shavings of cabbage, a slice of brined beetroot, one raw stem of mushroom, a slice of pepper, one slice of onion, a thin slice of tofu, a strip of (cooked) aubergine, and a slice of pumpkin rind. Comes with miso soup and boiled rice. Followed by very dry cake or crumbly old icecream. All for 2800 yen each and compulsory 10% service charge.

Yelp
Vegan traditional Japanese restaurant Food**** This place takes the vegan cake. The food was perfect and so healthy/delicious. They don't overdo it on salt and they present the food so beautifully. All the right elements with nothing to spare. The vegan steak and tempeh dishes were delectable and savory. The miso soup was delicate and just the right temperature. The brown rice was soft and sticky with the right seasoning. Atmosphere**** Quiet and cozy. The seating was comfortable. Service**** The waiter spoke perfect English and was very respectful. Price$$ Not too bad but somewhat pricey. Worth it though.

Yelp
I was excited to find a vegetarian spot to have have dinner in Tokyo, but the service was so slow. The place was not busy thought there were a moderate amount of diners. It took us just over an hour to get our food. I think they may have just had one server so that may explain the slow service and lack of follow-up. The miso was not my favorite, but the brown rice really was the best I've ever had.

Yelp
Amazing -- you must go here. We had the traditional macro stuff and ate whatever the owner told us to. Amazing. Wonderful/cute down to earth, simple, pleasant decoration. Stevie Wonder has been there!

Yelp
We stopped here because we wanted to have some vegetarian food for a change. The food was fantastic. We had a vegetarian bento box and a soy steak. Both were huge portions. The bento had 8 divisions, each with a tasty treat inside. If that wasn't enough, each meal came with rice (brown rice with toasted soy beans) and miso. The atmosphere of the place was also great, with smooth jazz, a laid back ambiance and a very friendly but discrete owner. In summary, a great place whether you are looking for a vegetarian meal or something else.

Yelp
A vegan haven. If you're nearby shopping in Harajuku and need a quiet place to eat away from the crowds come here. We enjoyed the Fried Soy meat $9 and Tofu Steak $14 for lunch. They serve alcohol too.

Yelp
We reached here by accident not being able to find another veggie restaurant - and we thank our Stars for it. Is an amazing vegan / macrobiotic place. This is the FIRST vegan restaurant to open in Tokyo in 1976! (That's around when I was born!!) And since then has thrived feeding people fantastic meals. It is a small place where the front looks like a store and the restaurant is tucked away in the back.. you have to walk through the store. A board outside will invite you to this vegan place. Great service, fantastic food! Great atmosphere. Visit this place FOR SURE when you visit Harajuku / Takeshita Street. I would say even make a special trip to this place. Highly recommend the Tofu steak (it's veg!) And Risotto. Had a very brief chat with creator and he believes in macrobiotic and hence created this amazing menu. Do visit. You will love it.
