Mominoki House Ueno Shop

Mominoki House Ueno Shop is absolutely exceptional for massages. I chose the 20-minute treatment, and even in that short time, it was incredibly relaxing and professional. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel comfortable they offer tea, and you can even order something small to eat if you like. One of the best parts is that throughout the entire treatment, your feet stay immersed in warm water, which makes the experience even more soothing. Truly a perfect little wellness break while exploring Tokyo.

This place has such a unique way of giving massages while you enjoy your beverages. We visited after a few long walking days in Japan, and it was exactly what we needed. They have a hot foot bath at the perfect temperature, which really helps your legs relax and provides relief from daily aches and pains. Each guest receives one complimentary beverage from a choice of three options. They also offer a wider selection of drinks that come at an additional charge. There’s an option to add a back and neck massage ranging from 5 to 20 minutes, and this upgrade was excellent. The masseuse did a great job, targeting all the stress points and easing the muscles wherever needed. One thing I think could be improved is their timing and pricing. The quick massages felt a little steep for the duration, and they bring the hot drink at the beginning while starting the massage immediately. This means the drink cools down before you can really enjoy it at the right temperature. That said, it’s definitely something worth trying while in Tokyo. Advance booking is recommended, as they do not accept walk-ins.

I don’t know maybe I was on American time. But we got there on time, were seated promptly, and our order was taken: 3 included teas, 1 beer, & 3 massage services. Then, it took us 30 mins to get the included tea, 45 to get the beer, and after an hour and 15 mins I asked about the massages, was told it would be another 20 mins. So we just left. The hot water was nice and my feet do feel relaxed, but after an hour I also had sweat marks all over my clothes…… I was under the impression the reservation time was 45 mins but, I guess not????

After a long day of walking, the hot foot bath felt like heaven on my feet! The building’s cozy atmosphere and the super friendly staff come together to create a truly relaxing experience! Their drinks look really refreshing and you really can’t beat the price for what you get! Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Ueno! :)

Had an okayish experience visiting this café. Its a tiny place and did not live up to the instagram hype. The massage was also not really relaxing. Their scheduling is very tight (if you ask for a service without a reservation, wait times go upto 40 mins to 1 hour).

Had an amazing time here! The foot bath was so so nice and warm after a long day of shopping and walking around. My friend got a massage from Marie, who is so sweet and gives out great recommendations! She's also an amazing masseuse! We will be back thank you so much!

TLDR: try to make reservation, walk-in is hit or miss. Have a massage while your feet are in a hot water soak from a weary day of walking The style is unique as you get a nice massage seated up while your feet soak in the communal hot bath soak. For 20 min massage plus a small cup of tea plus the foot bath, it came out to about 3300yen. I just wish the person who massaged me did a bit stronger though they were going multiple times in a row so she may have been tired
