A gelateria located in the Copacabana Palace Hotel, but the entrance is on the street, not inside the hotel. The dark chocolate was very rich and decadent. The pistachio was creamy with real pistachio flavor and nuts, which is not always easy to find. The maracuya (passion fruit) was perfectly tart with tiny seeds that pop in your mouth when you bite into them. Nice space inside to sit and look across the street where the beach is located.

This gelataria, Sorveteria Momo Gelato is located in the magnificent building of Copacabana Palace Hotel. The servers were morose and lacked any enthusiasm to perform their job of serving ice cream. Payment was taken ahead of selection of the ice cream. Even though the cashier and the ice cream server were stood no more than a metre apart, for some reason you had to show your receipt to the server. I could understand this if it was a busy time but when we were there we were the only people at the counter. We hadn’t understood that there was a different price for some of the ice cream flavours, which were their “specials”. We paid for two tubs with three scoops, only to find out that some of the flavours we were after were only available if you paid more. We both had one scoop of Romeo e Juliana it was slavered with fruity thick sauce My husband also has fragola and mango, which were both refreshingly fruity. I had pistachio persa, which was deliciously nutty and creamy. The real star of the show for me was my last selection Momo Bambino, this was a magnificent mix of vanilla, slavers of chocolate, chocolate and nuts. I wish I had asked for this as my first scoop so it could be savoured at the bottom of the tub. Instead I had to navigate around it so that it was the last mouthful.

Super nice but also super expensive icecream. Very tasty But the staff is the most unfriendly i have experienced in all Rio. They look like they hate their job. Why do they work there ? Also english skills are limited to none. And Momo is like integrated at the Copacabana Palace Hotel so full of english speaking clients. Weird. Been there twice. It seems like there is no manager on site. We will not be back. TRAIN YOUR STAFF !!!! Visited 13.02.2025 22:10.

Very disappointed as I was standing in line to pay for gelato. One of the servers, served a customer who wanted whip cream and some of the whipped cream must have gotten on her fingers...what does she do, does she wipe her hand or wash her hand, nope, she proceeds to stick her finger in her mouth and moves on to the next customer. It was so disgusting that I left. One would expect minimum standards at a high end place like this with premium pricing, I guess not.

Every single day on my trip to Copacabana I visited this place. Ice cream is great, atmosphere is great, staff is great! Unwind for a few moments in this superb spot on Copacabana beach (Copacabana Palace Hotel)!

Yummy gelato staff was very nice and welcoming the only thing I would say is that I had no idea what the flavors they had due to them only being listed in Portuguese. The great thing is they let you try them out. Very cute spot to stop and refresh

I haven't tried other ice cream places here in Rio, but I heard this was the best. I tried and it and was pretty good. The service was good also.

Cozy little ice cream spot right in Copacabana palace next to the beach. Nice inside and outside sitting areas. Awesome ice cream flavors and gelato.
