This place has a really modern cozy vibe. I would recommend you sit right outside of the garden if you're not a smoker a d do not like to smell smoke especially when eating. The service was on the slower side - the prices were definitely overpriced, but if you don't want Italian food you'll be willing to pay! The rock shrimp was delicious ( a little salty ). The elephant role was fresh!! Can't taste the fish which is great! They also had spicey mayo which I thought being in Italy was a plus!!!

My girlfriend and I needed to find a spot to have dinner due to an unexpected cancelation in a place nearby. Perhaps by luck or just coincidence, we found this restaurant and fell in love with the cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The menu was quite varied, not just in meals but also drinks, cocktails, and dessert. We look forward to a second visit, definitely my favorite Japanese restaurant thus far in Firenze.

Great ambiance and really nice meal for when you need a break from Italian food. Be sure to sit in the garden! Food is a little overpriced but nothing too outrageous given the luxury experience.

Taste food, kind staff, nice atmosphere. Big size rolls. We got dragon tempura - it was really good. Recommend

service is very fancy, attentive, high-end kinda style and polite a quiet, serious/elegant place, not really my vibe the sushi tho, not quite the experience i expected considering the price, i just didn’t love the quality/flavors

This place was right down the block from my Airbnb, and I got to say It would have been worth a 25 minute walk. Super cute spot, well air conditioned, and perhaps some of the freshest fish I've had in quite some time. Coming from South Florida where we have some of the best sushi around, this place was a welcomed surprise with fantastic salmon nigiri and delicious truffle gyozas. In a city where I was not expecting to be wowed with sushi, this place really hit the spot. Keep up the great work and I will definitely be back.

Amazing sushi, helpful and friendly staff!

Attentive service, well designed interior and good background soundtrack. Food was good, ordered conservatively, portions sizable though price is definitely at the high end for this level.

I was eating and they were being so rude to this one lady because they wouldn't exchange her roll that was clearly inedible. Won't be eating here again. Sad how they couldn't just take back the roll if she wasn't satisfied

After three days of pasta we went on an adventure and the sushi here did not disappoint. Fresh toro hand rolls were amazing and went well with some delicious and creative special appetizers. The Tokyo mule is a must try - very delicate and just the right amount of sweet.

AMAZING find! So happy to have great sushi in Italy! We needed this after 11 days of Italian food. Great quality fish and amazing service! Cool atmosphere and modern vibe! We will definitely be back next time we visit.

Being an American girl who grew up on a boat or at least next to the water, when I moved to Italy I started missing sushi and seafood... until I found Momoyama. It's a really modern sushi restaurant near the Arno that we would visit about once a week; always sitting upstairs in the 'cave' like dining area. The food was always so amazing which kept us coming back. I can't tell you my favorites because we would get different things every time, not knowing what they always were but the chef's never let us down!! It is quite pricey, but worth it!!

My food was amazing and it came out really fast! Everything was so flavorful! A must eat is the very rare black cod, which I have almost never seen on a menu. I would not have expected such good sushi so far from the coast! Another must is, sitting out side. The vibe the mist and candles give is amazing. I am so so happy that I found Momoyama. If I could rate it out of 20 I would give 200. If I ever come back to Florence you can expect to see me there.

I sat in the back room with wood slat walls and floors with large canvas umbrellas completely covering the ceiling giving the outdoor space an indoor feel which I really enjoyed. The food was fresh and creative with good sized portions. I had the seaweed salad and salmon hand rolls. I would suggest a reservation as they filled up quickly. I would have given them a 5 but the service came to a grinding halt because they seemed to seat everyone at once and the kitchen couldn't keep up. The limited wait staff completely ignored us and we practically had to beg for the check. I would go back but just either before or after the busy time.

best sushi i've ever had. the mist is kinda broken so it was in a way "raining". romantic adult place. a little expensive. the sushi was 11/10. definitely recommend. the food comes pretty fast too. The patio is gorgeous but they smoke which is a negative outcome but other than that it was amazing and wish they had more restaurants.
