Mom's Basement Theatre

This place is a great small theater with a great community! They recently did some renovations that created a nice lounge space where they sell concessions and host jams. The vibe is great! They consistently put on great shows throughout the week and are a great option for a fun night out! They offer discounts if you stay for multiple shows, too! Whether you are looking for a great night full of laughs, or taking a class or workshop, I can't recommend Mom's Basement Theatre.

Comedy Sportz Minor League at Mom’s Basement is the BEST SHOW IN VEGAS. We had an GREAT time at Mom’s Basement and the Sports Comedy League on Friday night! It’s a small, local production tucked away on Sahara — it might not look like much from the outside, but once you’re inside, the atmosphere is amazing. What it lacks in Vegas Production it makes up with Laughs, Crowd Participation, and Authenticity. Being a local I have been to all the shows Big Productions like Blue Man Group, Circus Soleil and they are amazing Productions and shows but not Belly Laughing Immersive Comedy Experiences. Mom’s Basement offers great-priced drinks, free popcorn (which I couldn’t stop eating!), and the actors put on a live, up-close performance that was full of energy and heart. It’s a refreshing break from the overproduced, impersonal shows on the Strip — this is real people delivering real laughs in a truly welcoming environment. The improv was hilarious driven by crowd suggestions. The emcee and entire cast were fantastic. Friday night shows are also kid-friendly, and my kids had an absolute blast — they were laughing so much we actually had to tell them to settle down! We went as a family and made some wonderful memories. You can check out the photos — it was a perfect night. I highly recommend this hidden gem to both Las Vegas locals and tourists looking for something authentic, fun, and full of heart. We’ll definitely be back! We LOVED IT! Best show in a long time and we just did Smith Center, Blue Man Group and Circ shows, we do a show a week, Hey we are Vegas Locals!!! To the team from The beginning to the End, Loved it All!!!

I attended a drop in improv class that was recommended to me by a friend. I had no clue what to expect. The class started with something silly to get everyone acquainted and warmed up. We learned about and practiced different basic techniques and excercises to improve upon our improv abilities. As a byproduct, it also helped boost confidence in regards to speaking publicly and privately with strangers in creative and fun ways. The staff really nurture a familial attitude with their process in an endearing way. It is a uniquely profound experience that I would recommend to literally anyone and everyone. If you want to start a career in improv, boost your public confidence, or just meet and speak with new people, Moms Basement Theatre is your one stop shop.

I definitely agree with the 5 star 🌟 ratings. From top the bottom the staff was AMAZING. They were very creative, funny and entertaining people. The establishment was very welcoming. If you like improv. I definitely do recommend this establishment. I definitely will be back again...... I appreciate the laughs........

If you’re looking for a family-friendly, affordable comedy show, Mom's Basement is the best! You can enjoy drinks and popcorn while watching the show. They also have late-night shows for adults only, which is a nice touch. I was thrilled to find something fun and budget-friendly for my family!

Wonderful place to go if you need a good chuckle! I have been twice already, and my husband and I enjoy their shows!

Awesome space for live comedy. I attended the Kill Bomb show with Phil Kotler on Sundays at 8:00 pm The room feels like an actual comedy club absolutely love the space and the show 🎭 Definitely going to have to check out all their other shows as well 🙌

My friends and I went to the Comedy Sportz show at Mom's Basement Theater last night and it rocked from start to finish. At one point I shouted “golden rocks” and suddenly everyone ran with it. Before I knew it we had “platinum pebbles” and “silver stones” being used in the next bits. The whole show was on a roll and really rocked the crowd. I was laughing so hard! The sound board guy has the best laugh. The ref walks around asking the audience for topics and you just shout them out. They take multiple ideas and use whatever you say for each game so your suggestion might become the bedrock of the next scene. I shouted “Dungeon Crawler Carl” and realized instantly that my choice was way too niche. Still, I stand by it. Anyone in the improv world really should listen to those audibles because there is so much comedy gold in it even though it's a litRPG. When the teams are close the ref calls on the audience to decide. One team said “bear belt” instead of “bear gi” and somehow still got the point while the other team said “paragliding” instead of “hang gliding” and didn’t. They have simple concessions, bottled or canned non alcoholic drinks, candy, and cookies. We also got the chance to stay for the next show for only $5 more, which is a deal since tickets were $15 each. If tickets were a little cheaper we would definitely go more often. Regardless we are already planning our next visit. Maybe next time I will dig deep, find my inner quartz, and be their VIP because this show truly rocks my world.
