I absolutely love moms. I’ve been living in the Berkshires for two years & The food is great, service is awesome and Atmosphere gives cozy small town vibes. My kids & I love sitting out on the deck and watching the wildlife during the nice weather while eating. 10/10 recommend! Their food is very tasty & my kids look forward to their Mickey Mouse pancakes 😊😊

Excellent atmosphere, Friendly, prompt service and very clean. Good breakfast menu. The bacon was a bit tasteless but, the Blueberry Pancakes w/pure maple syrup rocked! Coffee great, plentiful and hot. Husband felt the homefries were not properly cooked but, the seasoning was good he said so, they still tasted good.. Eggs and toast were great. Very nice restaraunt. We'd go back without hesitation.

We got coffee right away, with no spoons to stir in the milk. The waitress must've been new because she didn't know the very limited menu at all. Our food was delivered, cold, without utensils. We had to request utensils and syrup for French toast. My daughter's pancake was under cooked and doughy. After waiting for 15 minutes for our check after requesting it, I finally went to the counter to pay. I was overcharged $20 for our meal because the waitress billed each item separately even though they were items that were included on the menu. After a short math lesson, I paid the correct amount and left... never to return again. Avoid this place.

Delicous food that is only bested by the awesome service here! Good portions with quick & polite service at affordable prices. Will look forward to visiting again when I am in the area. Neat decorations with seating on an open air back deck. Note that many of the tables are made from old sewing machine tables! Cute!

Found this gem on a road trip and had a wonderful breakfast! Eggs are pretty standard, but my omelet was really really delicious (spinach, mushrooms, bacon and cheese) and my companion really enjoyed his over easy eggs and corn beef hash! Wish we had this place closer to home! Service was also wonderful, friendly, helpful and attentive. Thank you again!

Drove by on my way to Bear Mountain Trail. Absolutely worth the stop for egg sandwich and corn muffins. Food tasted great and was quick. Staff was informative and prompt. Environment was cozy and clean. Edit: have been back here again & couldn’t agree more with everything I said.

I got breakfast today. The worst I've ever had. Home fries were burnt black all the way through couldn't eat. Eggs cold and looked like they were cooked on a dirty grill top toast burnt. How can every thing be burnt and the eggs cold? Up side coffee was good waitress was nice

Stopped by on our drive home. Very nice atmosphere in this little cozy place. Coffee was good. Food was delish and waitress was sweet. Had the lox Benedict and I thought is was very good. Husband had hash and eggs. He too enjoyed all in all a cute, good meal.

Return visit six years later- and still just as good! My corn beef hash and Swiss cheese omelet was again amazing!

Cute little local diner open for breakfast and lunch. The food was simple, but tasty and satisfying. Check out the view in the back. Really a lovely spot.

I was very disappointed in the lunch that we had here. I understood they were understaffed, but that is not an excuse for the lack of service we received. First, the soda tasted like there wasn't enough syrup after waiting ten minutes for our waitress to even look at us, so we could let her know something was wrong with their soda machine and ask if we could get new sodas. She came back with bad soda again. Then we got our sandwiches, which were practically just bread and lettuce, with very little meat. There were only two slices of avocado on the entire sandwich, and one slice on each half of the sandwichz And calling it a slice is generous. Very disappointed, would not come back.

Nice outdoor seating, great split pea soup. The specials are good. All-day breakfast is also available.

5 stars for being the most relaxing, reliable breakfast/lunch spot that we constantly spent time at, in the area.. Menu is exciting, always many specials, ingredients are fresh. Prices are fair, food is perfectly prepared, delicious. Servers are kind, always smiling. Easy to split a sandwich, they are ample enough. Coffee is refilled often during your visit. Out back is the lovely, long & narrow wooden deck overlooking the rolling stream. No matter if you are coming from the West or East, this is a cozy destination work a country drive. I think our favorite share this summer was the fabulous Turkey Club, with fresh sliced turkey. Make a point to visit, you certainly can not be disappointed here.

There were 11 of us and the staff couldn't have been more chill and accommodating. No attitude, no stress, and somehow got all our food out super fast with zero mistakes. Eggs were def watered down in the omelets but otherwise the food was ok (pancakes were delish). Would have liked for the staff to let us know anything over a party of 6 is automatic gratuity and we should have been asked if we wanted separate bills .. but not a huge deal. Also .. yes, we saw the review about someone shitting their life away from the burger. We did not test fate (had a 2.5 hour drive ahead) and strategically avoided it. Happy to report that the rest of us survived just fine

The CUTEST humble local diner vibes. The food was simple and delicious for brunch. They were so accommodating to provide a Patty Melt even though it wasn't explicitly on the menu. Definitely family owned. Expect regular basic coffee here - no lattes

This restaurant is what the Berkshires is all about, with its country flair and farm-to-table food options for allergy-conscious people. Centered in the small town of South Egremont, away from the business of Great Barrington, yet close enough to everything which makes this a perfect stop. When we arrived, we were greeted with friendly waves from the waitstaff and cook, and then were quickly shown to a table. We ordered our food and drinks within minutes of arrival, and they came out right away. Our vegetarian chilli was delicious...filled with lots of veggies and meat crumble ( no pictures because I ate it too fast haha) and our omlettes were packed with flavor and yumminess! And those home fries were awesome. The cook even came out today to say hello to us, which added a sweet personal touch. You have to add this to your "must stop by" list.

Soooo goood. Had hot turkey sandwich with cranberry and stuffing. Like Thanksgiving on a bun. Fresh cooked, moist turkey - the best I've had. Friendly, chipper waitress made us feel so welcome.

Just introduced a couple of locals to this local hangout. It's not just that the food is hearty and tasty -- I'm stuck on the veggie wrap-- but the waitstaff is warm and welcoming. Really feels like Mom is back there, in a good way. And there is a general store next door, which is a plus in the sticks.

Was back in the Berkshires for a reunion with friends. Had brunch and it was wonderful!! It was great to meet up with a HS friend, be checked on to ensure we needed all we needed but also have time to catch up. I used to work here in the summers home from college. Fantastic food, service and the deck is next to the water for a beautiful and relaxing time. I had my fave bacon, egg and cheese on a hard roll w/ fresh orange juice. My friend had the omelette which she loved and I as well on other visits! Don't let all the cars in the lot dissuade you. You should be able to get a table and enjoy!!! Great for families!! On your way in from Hillsdale, NY to Great Barrington or on your way back home, perfect stop.

This place was a perfect stop for breakfast! The restaurant was clean and inviting, and our server Robin was fantastic! She was very personable and was laughing and smiling. We both ordered breakfast sandwiches on toasted Kaiser rolls and they were perfect. Robin chatted with us and when asked whether she had any ideas for hiking spots, she mentioned Flag Rock in Great Barrington. We did the hike and the views from the top were amazing! Great little spot in South Egremont. Only been there twice but the food was great and fresh. They always seem to have a vegan option or two,which is amazing for such a small place.

Great place for breakfast and lunch! My coworkers and I ate breakfast many times a week while working at Catamount this past winter. Danielle, Nikki and staff made us feel at home every morning. Great regular coffee but I should have made Danielle warm up the old esspresso machine just once! Recommend to all...

Went for breakfast and was excited the pictures on here looked so good I ordered pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were hard like stale toast the only thing I can think to make them like that is if they microwaved them. I had to use a knife to cut pancakes and even with a knife it was hard I wish I wrote this review from the table and not the parking lot or I would have taken pictures. The waitress came over and saw that only one bite of the pancakes was eaten and didn't even offer to take it off of the bill she just bussed the table like nothing happened didn't ask why you didn't eat. I did give it to Star's instead of one or zero because the person I was with enjoyed their meal It's unfortunate that there's not very many places to get breakfast early in the morning in this town Even though this place is very close to my work I will not be back..... If they only asked me what was wrong with it, or took it off the bill, or asked me if they could get me something else it would've made a world of difference Sorry

Nice place, good menu - recommended for a lovely brunch. Quaint atmosphere, nice folks. Girls got chocolate chip pancakes with real maple syrup, a fruit bowl, bacon, and a bagel and lox platter. All ingredients very fresh, and very much enjoyed. My lox benedict seemed like a great idea (eggs Benedict and bagels and lox are my two favorite breakfast dishes, but turned out in combo to be a concept that didn't work for me. Your mileage may vary. Water and coffee coming slightly quicker would get the 5th star. Again: recommended.

My friend and I eat here every time we go to a nearby quilt shop. The food was fine, as usual, the atmosphere was nice, it was the waitress that was a problem. When we walked in, we were told to "sit wherever you want." Since it was too cold to sit outside, we decided to sit by the window. The table had not been cleared, but we were willing to sit there and wait for them to clear it. We really wanted to sit by the window. No sooner did we sit down than the waitress yelled at us " don't sit there ! Sit at a cleared table!" So we moved to the next table over. After a few minutes, the waitress came over and gave us menus and asked if we wanted something to drink. We asked for coke or Pepsi, whichever and one diet one regular. The waitress told us "we don't have that we have a cola product." So we said that was ok. While we were waiting for our meal, she came over to the table by the window and cleared it and then two women sat at the table. They spoke to the waitress and it was obvious that they were friends of the waitress. The waitress told them to go to the room behind the table to get a can of Coke, not a cola product. As time went on it became obvious that the waitress reserved that table for her friends. She pulled a chair up and sat and talked with her friends and was too busy to bother to say goodbye to us or to notice that we did not leave a tip. My tip to this waitress is that she should get a job where she doesn't have to deal with people. If we come back to this restaurant, if this waitress is there we will turn around and walk out.

Great breakfasts and lunch. All locally sourced and homemade. Wonderful in the summer to sit on the deck overlooking the brook

Very enjoyable. Waitress was one step ahead of my Mom. We sat outside on the back deck by the brook, when *my* Moms asked for onions on the side for the sandwich she was splitting with Dad, the waitress served the sandwich already portioned onto two plates, one with onions, one without. My savory crepe from the specials board was a large crepe filled with a large omelette, bacon, and avocado. It was yummy. I didn't share it with anybody. A large fresh-squeezed OJ for $3.50 seemed like a bargain, and the gazpacho was delicious as well having a more generous olive oil content than I typically use at home. Despite learning from the waitress in advance that it was not made in house; I ordered blueberry pie anyway, the pie turned out to be the only disappointment of the meal.

Such a great and homey little spot! The food is good and the service is so lovely. We have a one year old and they took great care of him - brought out his pancake quickly before we ordered the rest of our food. I got the spinach feta omelette with egg whites only and it was cooked so well - and with such fresh ingredients! The rye toast was on point too (not everyone uses "real" rye bread). My husband really enjoyed his breakfast burrito too and he's picky about those. All in all I'd recommend it!

The place is cute and our waiter was nice.. service was a little slow but that's ok. My husband had ham-steak with eggs which was really good, but my western omelette was pretty awful, neither peppers and onion were cooked at all, but the eggs were overdone, and the side of Canadian bacon looked like slices bologna and it was cold.. I wish they asked me to order something different.. the cook looked like she was struggling but they had non more than 10pp to serve.. They need to step up their game..

We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Albany. We weren't disappointed. Food and service were great. I would recommend if your in the area..

The guacamole was cooked and runny like snot inside my omelet. It was warm. The jarred salsa - also cooked inside my omelet - was sugary. Unfortunately I couldn't taste the cheddar because the single slice got lost in the warmed up condiments. My husband's corn beef hash was out of a can. My friend's breakfast sandwich looked like a McMuffin. The white toast was good. Coffee was fine. Pretty creek running behind the establishment. Two stars is a fair rating for this breakfast.

We stopped by here after a 2 night camping trip at Mount Washington State Forest. We were looking for a small country diner just a few minutes from the Park, and found this lovely place. From the outside awning, to the inside you can just sense the "countryness" of this place. Even the bathroom has a county feel to it!.. we sat outside on the deck. right infront of a Brook that flows through the the forest. This place is only open until 3pm weekdays. for Breakfast, I had an omelet and with toast.. the home fries cost extra.. the food was tasty. just like home cooking.. but a bit more expensive than I expected for a small town.. it was close to the NYC prices that I'm used to. breakfast for 4 came to $52, not including tip.

We had a great brunch. Kids loved the chocolate chip pancakes and granola/yogurt. My Mexican omelette was delicious. And my husband enjoyed his eggs and corned beef. And everything was priced reasonably. Will definitely come back.

Went for breakfast this morning, watching my brother play some lax at a school around the corner.... The food itself was fine, nothing amazing, but not bad either, I was worried...they have the basics, omelette's pancakes etc...the food was more like a 3.5 but the service was a solid 2... Everything just took a bit longer than it should have, even for a "country diner" the wait between everything was excessive from ordering, to get the food, to getting coffee refills, to getting the check.... Side note they dont take Amex....just fyi

I have eaten here many times, we drive over an hour to get there during our motorcycle treks. This Sunday I experienced probably the worst crepe I have ever had the misfortune to eat. Cold, flavorless served with ice cold syrup that cost $2 more. I suggest sticking to they're eggs and pancakes for breakfast.

Fairly plain but in assuming. Moms is a place I'm happy to take my mother to on mother's day, enjoying a delicious stack of pancakes on a deck overlooking babbling brookside tranquility. Friendly staff and a simple but high quality ingredients like wonderfully heart bread, thick bacon, avocado... The jerk chicken wrap was plain but made with quality and bountiful chicken breast and their BLT is simple but just different enough to make it memorable. Moms has as much charm as your favorite local spot and a menu plain enough to interest anyone but made well enough to stand out.

Stopped here for brunch on a late Sunday morning on the way back from Mt. Washington. Everything on the menu looked so good. I had the fruit crepe (delicious) and my boyfriend had the southwestern omelette. It had guacamole, it was also delicious. Inside there were plenty of tables. There is a patio out back overlooking a stream. The service was excellent. The waitress was very attentive and responsive. If I'm ever out this way again I'll be sure to stop by.

I LOVE breakfast at this place every time I go. I used to live with family that was just up the road from here and would go for breakfast every now and then. Their prices are great along with their food and service! Approved. They also started doing Pizza and Sandwiches for dinner takeout. My parents got a pizza and it was also awesome! Keep it up! South Egremont needs an affordable restaurant.

Stumbled upon this cute little restaurant while driving to the beautiful waterfalls nearby. Dine outside along the creek, very relaxing. It was lunch time but I had been been wanting pancakes or such and noticed they had crepes on the menu so I gave them a try. They were perfect, not to sweet, topped with plenty of fruit- Blueberries strawberries Blackberries and banana. Filled with a lightly sweetened ricotta and more strawberries. I actually felt like I ate a healthy breakfast. My husband had the rueben which was also very good. It had sautéed onions along with the sauerkraut and nicely grilled bread. Sometimes reuben's can be dry because restaurants are afraid to use a little butter this was not the case. Was so good we returned the next morning so we both could get the crepes! Yummy! Would definitely recommend. Friendly staff too.

Mom's Country Cafe is now open for indoor eating. There are only half the amount of tables so get there early. There are also plexi glass between tables. The food is always great and just like home cooked because it is. We are getting to see some of the people that were going there in mid March 2020 when everything shut down and it's good to see them again.

Had a great breakfast here with a couple of friends today. I got the blueberry pancakes, they were light and fluffy and didn't skimp on the blueberry's, and at 8$ for 3 pancakes I thought a great deal. I did have to pay extra for real maple syrup, but I'd rather that than aunt jemima's any day. The home fries were crispy without being burnt and seasoned well. My friends both got omelets, which they seemed very happy with. Service was good. I should mention hey have a sign that says BYOB, for those who are interested. A great breakfast and lunch place if your looking for simple food at reasonable prices.

This is a great place. The staff work their tails off here. I had an omelet with spinach & onions and it was one of the best omelets I have had in years. Will definitely be back here soon. Also a nice plus was sitting out on the back porch. So nice to eat breakfast outside. They also serve Pizza here at night now that I have heard is REALLY good but I havent had the chance to have it yet.

tldr: decent diner fare at fancy bistro process. we sat outside on the deck, beautiful location. unfortunately, the food, while ok, didn't measure up on the value scale. the $12 "hungryman" featured two eggs, two medium pancakes, one sausage patt Coolioy and home fries. coffee extra. I would expect this in NYC or Boston, but in western Mass?

Cute quaint cafe. Delicious coffee, great food. Home fries, bacon and corn beef hash cooked perfectly. The only thing wrong was that I didn't find this place earlier in my trip. Locals and staff super friendly.

Stopped in for lunch after hiking to Bash Bish Falls. The savory crapes special was delicious and totally exceeded my expectations.

Had one of the worst meals ever here. The biscuits and gravy looked like it had been sitting out for 2 days, the coffee tasted like water, the ham in the eggs Benedict was rubbery and the service was very poor. Hadn't been here in a number of years and disappointed it's gone so far downhill.

We love this place and go all the time for breakfast and lunch. Wonderful, fresh food and baked goods, friendly service, homey atmosphere, what more can you ask for? Please note the owner/chef/baker is relatively new .....last couple of years?....so much older reviews don't apply. It's exactly what we want from a casual Berkshires place.

It has good food the service is not as fast as would want it to be. I had buttermilk pancakes and bacon. Personally I would want more than three strips of bacon but it was still really good. My dad had cornbeef hash 2 sunny side up eggs and breakfast poatatoes. Over all it was good the corn beef hash wast hand made the potatoes were but they were undercooked the eggs were perfectly done. It is good and it is also a good stop on your way to ski or snowboard.

Great seat on the back deck overlooking the babbling brook. Nice setting. The Eggs Benedict were excellent. Service was with a smile. What more can you ask for?
