My sister and I came here for dinner out and everything was absolutely delicious. The first thing I noticed was the grandma lovingly cooking with pans in the kitchen, which you can see through a window. She was smiling and enjoying herself! The servers were all super nice and friendly as well. The second thing I noticed was the prices: they’re very reasonable! Many uni students were eating dinner around us as you can fill up very fast for little. The portions were big and hearty while the prices are definitely student-friendly. Now the food itself was stellar. The Spicy Squid Skewers were chewy and had a great kick. The Fresh-fried Pork Buns and Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings were so juicy, they burst when you bit into them. And those three dishes alone were lots for two people! We also got their Honey Butter Chicken Wings and Savoury Pancake with Greens. The chicken was seasoned generously and cooked perfectly, and the pancake was a nice reprieve to have some veggies. Lastly, I got the Mango Sago for dessert. Another huge portion and it was easily sharable! The mango flavour was nice and it wasn’t overly sweet. I’ll definitely coming back for more soon. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for filling, delicious Chinese dishes at reasonable prices!

Amazing food for the price! The soup was especially good, was rich, flavourful, and comforting. The meat was super tender. The bowl is more than enough to fill you up. Their pan fried bun was just okay, nothing to rave about, but still decent considering the price

Mom’s Pan-Fried Bun did not disappoint. Baos were delicious and meat filled. Small dishes were yummy too. Tried the pig intestines(spicy and sweet), fried chicken (crispy and flavourful), and pickled veg and pork noodles. Favourite part was the tofu dessert. It was served fresh and hot. Texture was silky and smooth. One star off for waiting. Gave name and number to staff for waiting in line but seems like they only do first come first serve (not sure why they took down name and number if didn’t use this system, maybe it was lost in translation). Would recommend better wait list system. Otherwise great spot to eat!

we came here for the bun, but i was actually blown away by the noodle !! we ordered the large intestine noodle and it was only around 10 dollars plus tax, the bowl was pretty big and definitely enough for a full meal, the intestines are very rich in flavour and a little garlicky. sadly, the tofu pudding was mid, personally it’s a little too sweet, and no yellow sugar (which is usually a must for tofu pudding), would definitely come back for the noodles tho !

I tried the server’s recommended braised pork pan fried buns $7.99/4 pcs. The bun was soft, the underside was toasted fried well, thin, not too thick coating. The place was clean (came when they just opened in the morning). The kitchen was really clean, first time I see a Chinese restaurant this clean. The ratio of meat to bun was like 20% meat to 80% bun. The meat was soft small. It was flavourful and juicy. But there was a bug gaping hole/gap between bun and meat. This is a snack place so there’s a lot of snack to choose from. I will return to try the rest. Service was excellent, friendly, attentive and professional. I was in a hurry and they brought the buns in 2 minutes flat!.

Incredible value for a meal in downtown Toronto. I got the lemongrass chicken and egg with rice for only $9.99, and it was very filling! Considering its location it really is amazing value. The restaurant gets really busy so finding seating can be difficult. Depending on how lucky you are your seating may not be the most comfortable, but they try to make do with the space they have. Takeout is always an option as well, and from what I saw it is a very popular option.

Amazing experience at Mom’s Pan-Fried Bun! The buns were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, the dumplings were bursting with flavor, and the wings were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and packed with authentic taste. A must-visit spot in downtown for anyone craving quality comfort food!

Great prices and good quality foods. Noodles are the chewy kind I like and the braised beef is tender. Pan fried dumplings have a thin coating and juicy inside. Pan fried buns have a soft dough but the minced meat is kinda small. Red bean sweet potato dessert is nice with a chewy outside and soft red bean paste inside.
