I was looking very much forward to staying here because of the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor and the gracious communication I'd had with the owner. However, we discovered on arrival that they were going to be out of town for the weekend, leaving our care in the hands of their friend, who did the best she could. We could tell that they must have rushed out because there was garbage left over from the previous guests in our bathroom as well as in the common kitchen area which stunk. The rooms were also not serviced daily so we found ourselves scrounging around for toilet paper on our second night. We were told that their friend would be adding fresh provisions in the common area refrigerator for us, but that never happened, and the croissants at breakfast tasted like supermarket croissants. We also had the misfortune to stay there after Montpellier made the news for reaching record highs in temperature, which meant that the air conditioning was woefully inadequate, making for restless nights of sleep. All in all, for us, the price we paid, which is on the higher side for a B&B was not worth it. ||||However, given the great experiences everyone else has had, I imagine that our experience was an anomaly - a combination of unfortunate occurrences. The rooms were generally clean and you could tell that there was thought put into everything. We had a chance to meet the owner when we arrived and they were very warm, so I imagine it's a much different experience normally. I put this review out just in case others have similar experiences to add to ours, but I wouldn't let my review alone dictate whether you stay here or not unless it's a 100 degrees in which case the rooms will be stifling hot.
