The monastery was no longer active as a monastery anymore it seems but it is very beautiful and amazing architecture. It’s easy to access from Centro using the bus number 8. There is a very cute cat in front of the main door. The monastery used to be a large as it shown in the replica but now remains just small part.

This place is worth exploring and a 5 Euro entry fee. Not many tourists visit and it’s worth a look.

Humble on the outside, amazing on the inside. More impressive than the Alhambra

This monastery is really impressive. It is not far from the city centre, and you can easily get there by bus, which takes less than 15 minutes. For me, it is one of the most beautiful monasteries I have seen. There is a lot to see and take in. The audio guide they provide is great, giving you lots of interesting information. And honestly, the photos speak for themselves. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Granada.

I went before it was open so I could only see the outside. I has a beautiful small park at th door and some souvenir shops. What got my attention was the statue on top of the front door which has baby head and hands (see pictures for details). Not sure if on purpose or if it was replaced somewhere in time. Would love to hear about the backstory on this.

Building is really nice with one of the most beautiful art work, historical artwork is also displayed, have different rooms with all the details of Christian history.

A bit distant from the town centre, but definitely worth the visit, especially as it is very quiet and nice to enjoy. The church is loaded with details to see. The sacristy is very beautiful, and considered by the monastery the most beautiful in the world; which is hard to challenge: the use of light and art and architecture makes you feel peace and wonder around every corner. In my opinion this place is a must visit while in Granada.

One of the most beautiful monasteries I have ever seen. Behind the relative simple outside wall you find a world of luxery. Fine art, detailed building work. Stone, wood, all materials are nicely decorated and done. Surprising how inside is a complete different world than outside Almost impossible to find all the aspect of the stories to be told. Clear audio guide with historical details. One of the most beautiful places I have seen in Granada. Definitely worth enterance fee and time. Wonderful collection of paintings.
