Great place if you’re into visiting historical and spiritual sites. This is apparently 600 years old, the chapel atleast. They’re currently doing some renovations. It’s very pretty and mesmerising. The water is crystal clear as it lays on a fresh spring, very cold. The best thing is probably the view, it’s fantastic. Entry costs €5. Around 150 steps to get up if arriving via boat. If you’re lucky you might hear a bell below, it’s a friendly cow on the other side of the river.

Stunning little monastery, with great views. Free to visit, though you need to get there by boat. Nice gift shop and a few rooms to visit. Real monks too!

Lord of steps to the top and some beautiful frescoes to see. We only had 30min here as part of a boat trip, but that was sufficient. There was a lot of restoration work going on around the site, so more may be available to see in the future. Lovely view from the top as well.

What a beautiful tiny piece of well preserved place of skadar Lake. Do not miss to take the stairs to go up and explore the corners of the monastery. Beauty is in abundance. And boat ride to the monastery is splendid.

Best to arrive by boat :) Unbelievable and magical. How do you get a tour/taxi ? Just park your car near an official spot, and the local (friendly!) commissioned chaps will approach you .. remember, they expect a negotiation! The monastery itself? Ancient, restored sympathetically, tiny, respectful, working. Cover shoulders and legs, they have shawls. Although it's interesting that full equality is still to arrive however.. they ask this only of the women. Bring 12euro for 1kg jars of self-produced clear perfect honey... (They don't offer UPS services to post the amber nectar home, which might be an oversight 🤓)

These monks really know how to pick a location to live and pray, don’t they? I mean, five star views across the lake with all the peace and quiet you could ever hope for. There were big plastic bottles of liquids fermenting in the sun. Red liquid on top and what looked like grass on the bottom. I wish there was a monk there to ask what it was used for, but it was just our guide who didn’t know and a few cats who weren’t in the mood to explain.

Mostly you get there by the boat trip offered you in Virpazar. Just a small souvenir store up there. Nothing to drink or eat. Great view

On the entry we were required to pay 5 E by rude lady. So we left.
