Beautiful monastery with rich history. Founded in 1447, supported by wealthy Segovian families and made holy by King Enrique’s interference. On Saturday morning the door open and you are guided by the one of (the few) monks. When interested in a holy touch and trying to avoid touristic crowds, this is definitely a recommendation!

Tours only possible with a Spanish-speaking guide. Knowledge of Italian at least a little and kindness of the guide, who for me spoke more clearly, helped a lot in understanding :)

Nice visit but be advised that the backdrop to the alter is under repair and has a printed cloth covering all of it. See the photo. The very pleasant guide said that hopefully it will be finished around February 2025.

A castle.. Paintings... Statues...decorated cilings... Sacred altars.. Artilleries.. And Towers with 152 Steps.. It's worth the entrance Fee!! Recommended!!
