Monastery of the Holy Trinity

I had a beautiful time visiting this incredible monastery. It was peaceful and offered amazing views. You could even get quiet time to reflect even among the huge crowds visiting it. The view is truly breathtaking. It is an amazing experience. I hope to go back.

I mean this is just a once in a lifetime experience. You totally should go. There are some great day trips being organised from Athens. They're not that expensive and it's totally worth it

I recommend to wear skirts or dresses for women. They won’t let you in if you’re wearing a short but you can purchase a sarong in the entrance. The top view was amazing. It took us 4 hours to drive there with a rental car from Athens. What a beautiful solemn place

The Monastery of the Holy Trinity was the first monastery we actually climbed steps to enter. Many reviews online say it’s exhausting, but we found it very manageable. Inside, you can see beautiful Orthodox-style art, and outside there’s even a small old cable system once used by monks for transport. At the back, there’s a wide viewpoint with stunning views of Kalambaka — absolutely worth it!

Amazing. Meteora is world famous for its six Eastern Orthodox monasteries that are perched atop gigantic rock pillars in the mountains. The monasteries are world heritage listed; and are absolutely amazing…. certainly a “must see”. Amongst others, we visited the Monastery of the Holy Trinity. It is so calm although it can be quite crowded at times. There is a strict dress code (we came prepared) and some of the monasteries are REALLY hard work to get to. Lots of steps; Lots of rests; Lots of sweat … but we made it. Beautiful.

A little bit of a climb up stairs. Not too bad. Not for people who hate heights. Beautiful views.

3 hours drive from saloniki, 5 toll roads, but totally worth it. U can easily travel by car between monasteries.

Remarkable place, unique experience. Drive yourself if possible and stop at all the places where you can make remarkable pictures. It's really worthwhile to see this majestic place. If you want to enter one of the six monasteries, bring decent clothing. Women must wear a skirt, trousers are not allowed for women. And make sure you enter before the traffic jam of tourist buses arrive (around 14.00 it's full of tourists).
