Home away from home! Absolutaley love coming back here. Again and again. Sitting on the rooftop at Mond looking at the ocean just instantly feels like vacation. The sweetest and nicest attentive employees. and love their new menue which adds the local touch to the dishes. 10/5 stars!

Beautiful location. Also great choices for healthy food. Coffee also very nice! 4 stars because the service is note the best and the waiting time is a bit too much considering the place was not busy. All in all recommended!

We had the best experience at Mond...so good we went back 3 times. We were served by Sanjuli who was so patient and helpful with my dietary requirements. The whole aesthetic and vibe is really relaxing - it was a great way to start our morning! Definitely recommend.

Compared to other options in Hiriketiya, MOND felt truly exceptional. The breakfast here was a cut above - sophisticated, healthy, and beautifully presented. We enjoyed excellent coffee and meals, but the New Moon smoothie was the real revelation; the blend of charcoal, cardamom, and cinnamon was fantastic and felt very special. This place definitely screams for another visit.

My personal happy place🤗 From the moment you arrive, you are surrounded by a wonderful atmosphere. Guests are spoiled with delicious specialties that make the experience even more special. The service staff is exceptionally friendly, and welcoming, which makes you feel comfortable and valued at all times. A place you will definitely want to come back to.

Wish I could give this place 10 stars - such a special place. A beautiful, serene hotel and cafe (wow their coffee is good too), the owners are super involved, ensuring you have an amazing experience, the staff is attentive and wonderful. The beach/surf is a super short walk away - Highly rec for anyone who is seeking a peaceful and tranquil experience away.

Nice café with an amazing view. I didn’t eat there, but the coffee was good — nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. The real highlight is definitely the view. Also worth mentioning that while many places in Hiriketya had power cuts, this café had electricity thanks to their generator, which was a big plus.

We ordered two long iced blacks, some water, and a fish curry with three extra eggs because I wanted a protein-rich start to the day. It took ages, and then only one long black arrived. It wasn’t very “long” at all — about four sips. I asked where the other one was, and they said they didn’t know but would fix it. More time passed, and I asked again about the water, which they had also forgotten. When the food finally arrived, there were three small pieces of fish in curry sauce and only one egg. I asked where the rest was, but that had also been forgotten. It was the smallest curry meal I’ve ever been served. The eggs eventually arrived later. I asked once more for some water, and they said they would bring it to the table — but again, it was forgotten. It’s not a large or complicated order, so I don’t understand how so many things could be forgotten. I felt there was very little food and drink for what you pay — 2,800 for three pieces of fish in curry, even if it tasted good. I was disappointed and found it very irritating to have to keep reminding them. At the neighboring table, they had completely forgotten their food — after two hours they had to ask where it was. A complete mess.
