Google
Really nice Sicilian pizza and arancini. The deep fried calzone is amazing

Jemma Cooper

Google
First tried here 6 years ago and it was amazing. Visited Rome again this March and it’s still amazing. We purchased 2 arancini’s, they are so tasty and filling, perfect if you want a snack on the go! 10/10

Google
The arancini were good. However, the lady working on 16/April at night was extremely rude. I got there at 21:10 with my family and it was clear she was ready to close the store (closing time was 22:00). Most of the food was already removed from displays. There were only a few arancini options available left and were given to me cold. The worst part was how rude this lady was. She was even angry at us for walking into the store to spend money. We left quickly and then walked by the store again around 21:40 and the store was of course already closed 20 minutes earlier.

Google
Very nice Sicilian food place. The quality of the Arancini was impressive. We asked fotñr the Cacio and the Ragù ones, definitely recommend it. We also asked for Mozzarella In Carrozza, that looked super good but the bread was a little hard to bite. Probably fresh is better.

We walked in and looked at the menu to see what we are going to order and the lady on the counter greeted us in italian. As I greeted her back in english and asked if all the flavours on the board are for the arancini, she immediately rolled her eyes in front of me and looked at her co worker and both started laughing. My excitement of trying out the food here turned out to be another bitter experience from rude service staff. Arancini is average. Customer service is TERRIBLE. If you open a restaurant in a big city like Rome, please expect to have tourists as customers and try not to be rude.

We went to ask if they had supplì, since I live overseas and was really craving it. The lady seemed annoyed, as they only sold arancini (we should have guessed from the name!). Anyway, we bought some arancini. That said, I’m not craving supplì anymore—I ended up finding a nice shop that sold it. 😄

Google
Best place to have delicious arancini. So fresh and yum! Highly recommended.

Google
The most delicious place where I tried very tasty pizza, a large selection of flavors of dishes. Very friendly and caring staff, they heated up the pizza in the oven for us so that it was crispy and hot. I recommend!!!!

Yelp
Staffs were super friendly, quick and the Stromboli Arancini I order was SO GOOD. Great snack option and I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Great snack and this was freshly fried. There were many options including vegetarian. I went with a word I knew as the menu is mainly Italian and I just wanted a quick lunch snack. Casual seating inside, quick service and the price is reasonable.

Yelp
Nothing like kind, warm service when you're away from home. Delicious and also reasonably priced! "Arancina" means rice ball but they have so many different varieties of food- I had roasted potatoes, chicken & roasted vegetables. My boys had pizza and pastries. We would have eaten ALL of our meals here, but we were sightseeing all over Rome.

Yelp
Best Arancina in town! And best tea and coffee in the area. I loved coming here when I lived in the St. John's across the street. The service was great. And there's a great gelato place next door

Yelp
We wondered into this working class neighborhood looking for the delicioso cannoli place which is right next door to Mondo Arancina. I'm so glad we did. While the food is Sicilian, the atmosphere is strictly no frills Roman. It's point and shoot for the arancini. They are in a case at the counter. It's 2 or 3 euros for most variety. We got the ragu arancino, which was stuffed with carne bovina (beef), pork, peas and mozzarella. Muah. (You can't see it but I'm kissing my fingers to indicate how good this thing tasted.) My date is a big fan of wine. (If you remember this is the girl I met on Tinder a few weeks ago and in an impulsive move that many of my friends have said indicates my complete lack of judgement, invited to come with me to Italy.) And here by "fan of wine" I mean she drinks wine like a fish. Wine with every meal. Wine with breakfast anyone? She never saw a bottle of wine she didn't love. I mean this woman likes wine. Accordingly, we got some wine to go with our arancino. The wine is a buck or two. I don't remember. By any measure, it's cheap. If you want a yummy snack in the afternoon to get you through, this is a great place to do it.

Yelp
So yummy! & Love that they have vegan options! We went back a second time during our trip, we enjoyed it so much

Yelp
Craved a pizza on our last night in Rome. We walked around since there are plenty of eateries in the area we stayed in, then low and behold Mondo Arancina was just around the corner. It is a small establishment, next to some popping gelato shops in case you want that after your pizza. The staff was friendly, knew English, and was fast. Just how it should be with these type of places. There are some seats to eat inside, but ultimately, this is not a sit down place to eat by any means. We had 2 different slices of pizza. I don't get how they operate here in Rome/Italy. I think you pay by weight? But we got 2 "slices" of different types of pizza for roughly 6ish Euro. First was some cheesy pizza that had plenty of ham. I'm sure it was some Italian meat of some sort, but I'm just going to call it ham. Then we had another that had some sweet peppers. Had some chunks of meat too. Very very good. If you are in the neighborhood, looking for some pizza, check this place out.

Yelp
Absolutely glad I found this place. I got there right at 6pm on Sunday and was able to get a table. By 6:45pm the place was packed. The service and the food were both spectacular! I asked my server, Fritz if he could charge my phone as the battery was dying. To my surprise, they were actually equipped with portable chargers. So he brought it to the table. Now the food, absolutely phenomenal. I went with the Cacio e Pepe. Very simple but glorious at the same time. They had a great wine selection. You must try their version it the Tiramisu with apples and caramel!!! Oh my!

Yelp
Stopped in here for a late night snack and everything looked so good! They were patient and let us ask lots of questions as they had so many options! Try anything but just go!

Lyndon R.

Yelp
Very good Arancina, only thing that would Make it better would be getting them freshly made. The rage filling was delicious.

Yelp
I love Mondo! It is the second time I've been here - the last time was four years ago and they certainly lived up to the memory. For those that don't know, arancini are rice balls with a stuffed center, rolled in breadcrumbs and deep fried. Seriously, what's not to like?! :) Mondo are the best I've had - although I've only got a handful of comparison places, but these are moist saffron infused balls of goodness. I had the Stomboli, which is a typical tomato, cheese and basil filling while the missus had one with a white cheese sauce and ham. Two of those, two cokes (never cheap in Rome) and a big hunk of pizza (which I'd come back for alone) all came to less than 12 Euros! An absolute bargain. Next time in Rome I'll be back again.

Yelp
EXCELLENT Rice balls. Fresh and taste great. Service can be better. If it was not for service it would get 5 stars. But food excellent.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Terrible service. The worker told me to wait two times as I attempted to say my order. Absolutely unacceptable. I left shortly after being told to wait for the second time. Another time a worker was extremely rude and bagged my food hastily and rushed me out the door. I will not be coming back here and I highly discourage anyone from giving their business to this freak-show of an establishment. Questo posto è orrenda. il servizio è terribile e il personale è scortese.
google avatar

Bee E.

Yelp
This is only getting 4 stars because of how cheap it is. If you want to spend almost no money on okay food, come here. The Arancina was good enough with a wide variety of tasty fillings. The calzones however are terrible. Like 90% bread with a small amount of cheap filling inside.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
It's a solid in-between meal option, but I don't recommend buying 2 rice balls and making a meal of it, as it will sit heavy in the belly. It's a good option for trying a Roman specialty on a budget, but with so many amazing and affordable pasta dishes nearby, this is a "snack-only" place for me.
google avatar

Gia H.

Yelp
The outside is perfectly crispy on the inside is true we with the perfect perfect flavors I love this place and we will be back anytime we come to Rome! My only suggestion if you are open until 1 AM and you run out of a kind at 6 PM make more!!! Especially if it is the one on the menu that is the most expensive truffle and the one that people talk about most on yelp
google avatar

Yelp
This certainly isn't the best Sicilian food in Italy, but it's really good for being outside of Sicily. Can be super crowded around lunch and dinner time, but they are very quick. Stick to the classic Arancina al ragu (these are saffron rice balls stuffed and fried), for less than 3 euros you'll have a meal. This is not diet food. But if you're on a diet while you're vacationing in Italy you need to reevaluate your life choices. All of their food is good and worth trying if you're in the area and looking for something cheap and easy. It's not a sit down place but you can get it to go and walk to Piazza Cavour if you prefer to sit and eat. The pizza here is a good option too, but I would choose the rice ball any day!. Friendly staff, albeit usually rushed to move the line along.

Yelp
Yummy authentic Sicilian arancini and delicious panelle sandwiches. Great price and quick service. This place is actually Sicilian so it isn't like anything you typically find in Rome.
google avatar

Melvin C.

Yelp
This place is awesome. The food here is perfect and very filling. You must order an arancina al ragu, which are saffron rice ball stuffed and fried. The pizza are good, but 2 arancina's is good enough to fill you up. We also ordered an mozzarella in a carriage which was good, but I really liked the arancina. Now for dessert, we ordered a cartocci, which is like a cannoli, but in a donut form and filled with some type of sweet cream inside. We also ordered an Iris. Be warned, the Iris was big enough to feed 2-3 people which was perfect for me to share with my wife. If you have to choose between the two, get the Iris. I will definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in Rome.

Yelp
Maybe I'm bias because I'm American. I MISS MONDO'S SO MUCH THAT I WANTED TO WRITE A REVIEW TO EXPRESS MY LOVE. Great pizza, addictive rice balls, and good beverages. Plus it was right across from the Rome Campus of St. John's University (my school). You'll probably find a few students in there from time to time.

Yelp
This is a great place for a quick bite to eat! They have a beautiful assortment of Suppli and pizza! We ordered 3 slices of pizza and 2 sodas for €12,50. Seating is limited so grab your food to go, or get lucky and grab a barstool. They also have a small selection of beer.
google avatar

Nickie C.

Yelp
I heart Mondo! It's cheap (€2.50 ish for an arancini that's, quite honestly, filling enough for a quick lunch). There's loads of variety, the pizza's tasty, and the arancini is really good too! The saffron hit in the arancini is really quite powerful and gives the whole thing flavour, not just the filling. There's a few bar stools and a counter to eat at, but you're not coming here for the atmosphere. It's a lovely area of Rome, full of bakeries and small shops. It makes you feel like you're off the tourist trail - you probably aren't, but as I've only been to Rome in the off-season, it's all off the tourist trail to me! 2 Cokes, 2 aranicini, and a hunk of pizza was around €11. We couldn't finish it, and we wanted to!

Yelp
Yes!! Never had these before coming to visit Italy, and was a great surprise! These little deep fried rice balls filled with heaven were definitely the best part of our trip!! We tried the pumpkin/gorgonzola and the Etsy. Etsy was a little shot of heaven in your mouth while the gorgonzola was a little overwhelming, that it took away from the pumpkin If you ever find these walking around Rome, stop in for a delicious €2.50 treat!!

Yelp
I love this little place!!! The food was so different compared to what I had tried in Italy but it was very good! The people are very helpful and they have an English menu! The service is fast and prices are very good. With 2 YU are good to go for a whole meal lol and that's 5€ ! It's also nice they are open so many hours since most restaurants close between 3-7 so YU can go have a snack. Also one of the guys is super sweet he even gave me free panelle which was AMAZING and I had never tried! I fell in love!!!! They are my favorite. More than the arancina

Yelp
I was looking for a dinner spot close to where i was staying in rome and found this on my way to another restaurant. The restaurant i was going to was not open, so lucky for me i went here instead. They had many different kind of arancini (fried rice ball - with some kind of stuffing), as well as pizza. it only has a couple tables and limited counter-style seating - mainly a grab and go kind of place. Needless to say it was delicious, filling (hello - fried!) and the pizza was good too. would come back - kids would love it.

Adi F.

Yelp
Eat here and order the truffel ball thing.... I've been thinking about it nonstop since i got back to the states. If not for yourself, do this for me
google avatar

Paolina T.

Yelp
Aranicini were soggy and sandwiches were ok. If you are desperately hungry, this will do. If you are looking for great Italian food, I suggest somewhere else.
google avatar

Ameet V.

Yelp
Pizza was decent for the price but perhaps I should have tried the arancia. Staff was friendly. Not a lot of seating options but it is more of a take out place.

Nick P.

Yelp
Very good place to go for some quick Sicilian specialties. Sicialian pizza (buy by weight), arancino and calzones are very good and reasonably priced. I had Arancino Ragu - fried rice ball with ragu and peas - very good but a bit heavy on the stomach Calzone with Mozzarella and Spinach - very good and the crust was great There are a few counters and stools to sit down to quickly eat and some people just stand by the counter. Not a "sit down and be served" type of place but we weren't looking for that.

Yelp
You can also see my review in Italian language. Please if I've made any mistakes in English, don't hesitate to txt me. I'm glad to improve my language skills because of you! Here's my review: Are you fed up with Piazza di Spagna, San Pietro, and with the same old wonderful and romantic atmosphere in Trastevere? You've found the right place, even you have been completely lost in south side of Rome. You can perk your senses up eating both ice-cream and other typical salty Sicilian food in Mondo Arancina, placed in Via Oderisi da Gubbio 201. I recommend the healthier Arancini al Forno, rice croquettes filled with various ingredients (aubergines, fish, ragout and so on). Usually they're fried, but al Forno means they're baked. To say I'd like an arancino al forno, follow these pron tips, reading words as you could read them usually in your language: Pèar favòure vorr-à òon arantcheéno al fòr-nòu. I think it might work. Let me know how you get on.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Pizza is just ok, but I like the Stromboli arancia. Service is quick and friendly.
google avatar

Brandi W.

Yelp
I fell in love with this place! I highly recommend the arancini al ragu and the ham pizza. We spent 2 weeks in Rome on our honeymoon and ate here often. Everyone was always friendly, service is super fast, and the food is beyond delicious. I tried the arancini somewhere else during my stay and it didn't compare. My only complaint is I'm too far away and craving some of their food, I will be back one day - I miss Rome :)

Karen W.

Yelp
Great rice balls! Loved the Volcano one. Nice quick and cheap lunch or dinner alternative to the same pizza! Ask for English menu if you need it.

Jackie D.

Yelp
We loved their saffron rice balls & marguerite pizza. Staff was friendly & really helpful.
