Mondorf's Sauna, in my opinion, is overrated. It's quite impractical when it comes to swimwear, which makes it difficult for the clients to enjoy trying out the sauna options without taking off then putting on their swimwear again and again. The no-tolerance vibe of the environment makes the people insecure about their bodies and the atmosphere is dull. Also, in winter, if you want to lie down somewhere warm inside, forget it. You have to pay (in coins, not even with the badge) for the upstairs mattresses under the red light. I find this unfair considering the costly entry price and the reputation, not to mention that it is very inconvenient to make the clients go to their closets, get coins, and come back just to lie down warmly until their next sauna ceremony.
However, there are many saunas with various temperatures, a hammam, and a warm-seats room (I enjoyed this one to rest inside during winter instead for the paid mattresses section).
The ceremony I experienced was lovely and its coordinator was professional and with a friendly and open vibe.
Personally and unfortunately, I will not come back here again. I prefer the openness and simplicity of other available saunas in Luxembourg which provide all the variety and the lovely green space without such high costs and impractical zero-tolerance against nudity. In Mondorf, you can't even experience the jacuzzi or the sauna pools without a swimwear. It's the only sauna in Luxembourg that6is like this.
