Absolutely outstanding experience at Mon.Es Restaurant! The food was nothing short of excellent — every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was top-tier; the staff were warm, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome from start to finish. And can we talk about the toilets? Even those were a highlight — historical, artsy, and incredibly unique with their stunning stone and glass floors. It’s rare to find a place where every single detail has been thoughtfully curated. 100% recommended — Mon.Es Restaurant is a must-visit!

4 Stars for the friendly staff and beautiful building, minus 1 star for transparency and flexibility.||DO NOT chose this hotel if you travel by (rental) car. Especially not if in high season and arriving at night. We tried 1.5 hours without success to find a parking space within acceptable distance under most difficult traffic conditions and finally checked-into another hotel.||+|Service: Very friendly and attentive staff without exception.|Location: Within the old town. Everything relevant can be reached on foot.|Breakfast: Nice choices, good quality, beautiful setting in the courtyard of the old building.||o|Pool: Very small indoor pool but can be „booked“.|Amenities: Nicely renovated old building already showing some new signs of wear and tear. Shower takes a moment to get warm. No slippers or tissues in the room.|Hygiene: OK.||-|Transparency: The hotel should clearly communicate that it is impossible to park anywhere within foot distance during high season evenings.|Flexibility: We wanted to cancel our stay after the experience of searching for a parking space for hours. This was not made possible.

Just perfect. Great location, hidden up a side alley. Walking distance to everything you need. Wonderful welcome, very helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. |Breakfast was a treat, variety for all tastes and freshly cooked to order. |We stopped in the Penthouse suite, definitely worth getting a rooftop with hot tub. Great way to spend a relaxing afternoon or watch the sun go down

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff are a delight and the breakfast, specifically the Cretan Breakfast for Two, was one of the best we've ever had.||We splurged for the penthouse suite and I would strongly recommend you to do so if you have the means. It was amazing to have a private deck with sun loungers and a jetted tub. The deck got sun all day long so it was a perfect place to relax and sunbathe.||Only slight negative for us was the 'smart' lights and AC in the room that were temperamental and sometimes difficult to use, although this wasn't a huge issue for us.||Overall, I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel built on top of a Venetian monastery. It is truly one of a kind!

Fine hotel, would predict the hotel's downfall though. Solid but simple and tasteless design, great potential, but cheaply constructed. As a guest here for 3 days, was nice. Location is good, rooms are large and pretty, but, not the best quality place. So it being a new place, it was nice, but I would not take the risk of going back in say 5 years out of fear of degradation. There was construction in the building over at 8:00 to wake you up which was lovely. Highlight of the hotel is the area. Really, it is a cheap hotel which benefits from the beautiful old town chania environment it exists in. If the younger people working the front desk read this, you were all great and friendly. Nice to meet you. The manager, is something else, not a lovely presence to say the least. Young people if you’re reading this, I understand and see your frustration with this tyrant.

I am not sure which portion of our stay was the best. The hotel itself is absolutely remarkable and historical. Our hotel rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Their staff was friendly and helpful. BUT their restaurant was so delicious! From their breakfast to dinner and cocktails. The flavors and freshness did not disappoint. MonEs provided us with the best dinner in Chania!

Excellent hotel a few metres outside the busy heart of Chania. The service was impeccable and very friendly with complimentary wine when we arrived. The room was perfect and everything worked! I Thoroughly recommend this place for a special stay.

Excellent service amazing food and cocktails The restaurant is a unique experience on its own The architecture and the design is worth a visit but most of all the food and the cocktails that we had were delicious also my 20 month old son was happily playing with some wooden carefully selected toys that the restaurant had and the lovely staff was more than happy to help me with the high chair Excellent service!
