This place has a mix of high end ($1k+ jewelery) as well as more affordable unique souvenirs. Not like the general souvenir shops like in Red Hook, though those are alright too. But Mongoose Junction is on another level. Even if all you do is walk around and admire the architecture it wont be time wasted. I was speaking with one of the shop keepers and they said the complex was built in the 1980s and is still owned and maintained by the same man. He still activly maintains the property himself, and you can tell. The whole place is a labor of love; fitting for St. John. If you are looking for unique jewelry, clothing, and more, this is your spot.

Cool, mall location and layout. Many different shops, restaurants, food and beverages. Everything from curated rum to ice cream to a brewery, delicious and more.

This is my fourth trip to Saint John, and I love to come shopping here at Mongoose Junction. Some of the stores don't survive the economy as it changes over time but I love that these shops are unique and present a lot of life local crafts. (Some of the goods they sell here are imported, not made on the island which is a little bit disheartening, but it's a great place to pick up souvenirs home accents, and t shirts swimsuits.) When we were here last year, we visited a dispensary, and we're happy to see that it is still up and running and prospering. This is an island, so of course, parking is a creature all of its own and if you're lucky enough to get a pay for parking slip, it's ten dollars an hour.

Great shopping. I liked the shaded area the trees provide and wood/stone architecture.

Here we had ice cream and went to a cafe "Sun Dog" I had a breakfast quesadilla and it was great. I also had bottomless mimosa's for $25 and although they only had 1 flavor any wouldn't make any others, It was good still, I just wish they had more options.

So happy we went here, found so many amazing shops. Our best shopping experience in a beautiful location. Stairs and steps and there are plenty of maps on boards of location so know where to go. There are certainly far shops, rum tastings, art, boutiques and restaurants. Recommend 👍🏼

This was a unique and trendy place to shop. Several high-end clothing botiques, a homemade ice cream shop, restaurants...it's worth a stop.

Mongoose Junction: My Experience in St. John's Introduction: St. John's, the capital city of Antigua and Barbuda, is a vibrant and culturally rich destination that offers a plethora of attractions for tourists. Among these, Mongoose Junction stands out as a unique and captivating place that encapsulates the essence of the island. During my recent visit to St. John's, I had the pleasure of exploring Mongoose Junction, and it left an indelible mark on my memory. In this essay, I will recount my experience at Mongoose Junction, highlighting its architectural beauty, diverse shopping options, and the vibrant atmosphere that permeates the entire area. Body: Paragraph 1: Architectural Beauty Mongoose Junction is a testament to the architectural beauty that can be found in St. John's. As I approached the area, I was immediately struck by the charming and colorful buildings that lined the streets. The architecture seamlessly blends Caribbean and European influences, creating a unique and visually appealing atmosphere. The use of vibrant colors, intricate details, and traditional Caribbean motifs adds to the overall charm of Mongoose Junction. Walking through the streets, I couldn't help but admire the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into creating this architectural masterpiece. Paragraph 2: Diverse Shopping Options One of the main draws of Mongoose Junction is its diverse range of shopping options. From local boutiques to international brands, there is something for everyone here. As I strolled through the streets, I found myself enticed by the vibrant displays and unique products on offer. Whether it was handmade jewelry, local artwork, or Caribbean-inspired fashion, Mongoose Junction had it all. The shops exuded a sense of authenticity and provided an opportunity to support local artisans and businesses. Exploring the various stores was a delightful experience, and I couldn't resist purchasing a few souvenirs to commemorate my visit. Paragraph 3: Vibrant Atmosphere What truly sets Mongoose Junction apart is its vibrant and lively atmosphere. The area is not just a shopping destination; it is a hub of activity and entertainment. As I wandered through the streets, I was serenaded by the sounds of live music emanating from the various restaurants and bars. The aroma of delicious Caribbean cuisine filled the air, tempting me to indulge in the local delicacies. The bustling energy and friendly atmosphere created a sense of community, making me feel like a part of something special. Mongoose Junction truly comes alive in the evenings, with locals and tourists mingling, dancing, and enjoying the slow lane

Yelp
Such a cute area to stroll through with an old European meets island vibe. Wish there was better value and more variety in the boutiques but Caravan is a staple & there are some great dining options. The art & wine gallery is a unique place to find gifts and treasures

Yelp
Great place, lots of cool shops, nice bars, good eats. Super to walk around and check out. We especially liked a shop on the top level called Caravan Gallery. Got a nice piece there. Enjoyed talking with owner, who has been there for decades. Very helpful. We also liked St John Ice cream. Mango, guava, mint chocolate chip all made there. Yum! Definitely go here when you are sunburned and need a break from all the beautiful beaches.

Yelp
Great place, nice restaurants and shops, except for the local woman that told us "if you park there, I will slash all of your tires". Not the local hospitality that we experienced on the rest of the island. Surprised that a woman whose livelihood relies on tourists would threaten us for no reason. I would like to see the local police get a handle on such locals, as it's not good for business.

Yelp
Great and cute outdoor mall like shopping area- prices are High with many local artisan jewelry options and art. Great inspiration here!! I found some mini bottles of some of the Caribbean hot sauce I was really loving on the island- Blind Betty to bring back home! Cute shirts for souvenirs! Great local brews!

Yelp
My favorite place to shop on St John USVI. I go there every time I'm on the island. I especially enjoy Caravan gallery.

Yelp
If you spend some time on Saint John you will find yourself visiting Mongoose Junction. It's a shopping and eating area just steps away from the St. John Ferry that most tourists want to experience. Over the weekend Islanders set up tables filled with handmade jewelry, purses , clothing and souvenir type stuff. There are also stores where you can step up your purchases. They have galleries, jewelry stores, clothing stores and more. A popular tourist item here is a hook bracelet. I didn't buy one but I looked in every store for a special one to catch my eye. In addition to shopping and mixing with the locals there is dining, cocktails and ice cream.

Yelp
one store just had shirts and pillows with a donkey on them. Not going to wear a shirt that's like the 'A' word. Also one shop, the lady was super rude (all customer service at st john usvi was rude), and she said she was sick of all the tourists and I said well isn't that what you need for business, then she said she was sick of covid, but I didn't buy anything from her. Big disappointment. Just shop in st thomas in the old town. What a dump and disappointments this all was.

Yelp
A collection of shops and restaurants in a delightful meandering multilevel courtyard graced by plants, trees, waterfalls and stone walls. Parking in back too--a huge plus, off the snarled roads of Cruz Bay!

Yelp
The ultimate rendezvous spot in Cruz Bay. Lots of shops, plenty of bars, delightful benches to just hang out waiting for the rest of the team to get worn out. Parking may be difficult but not impossible. Upscale art, gifts and services. Look for EarthCam for realtime on-line video feed.

Yelp
A general note: the gas station by the freeway is going to charge more for per gallon than the place down the street. A beach store by the beach is going to be more expensive than the place in the center of town. Hence, Mongoose Junction is a fair bit cheaper, because you have to drag your lazy beach bum a few more blocks to get there. Once you do, you'll find quality. My experience in the shops was that for your dollar, this is the neighborhood to spend it. Not only are the clothes and products better, the restaurants offer more than most of what you'll find on the beach, as well. And during the day, throw on a backpack and check out the nature center nearby. There's some good hiking, to boot.

Yelp
This is a nice shopping center, maybe the island equivalent of a mall? It's just a few minutes away from the ferry dock. You could definitely purchase many of your souvenirs here. There is a clothing store where you can pick up any items you may have forgotten to pack. It was quite pricey, but I was able to find a sweet pair of flip flops in a sale bin. They were $7, not bad. There's a shop that specializes in local art, a cigar shop, jewelry/art shop. There was quite a variety of stores and all kinds of interesting items. I window shopped for quite a while. It's a nice shopping center - stop by if you're in the area.

Yelp
This is a nice little mall in Cruz Bay. It's a beautiful group of stone buildings with some nice shops and such. When a bit of rain fell we found seats at the Gecko Gazebo here and drank fruit punch. The Tap Room here showcases beers with St. John's Bay Brewery labels that are brewed in the states. When the rain stopped we carried our new tee shirts back to pier side and listened to Caribbean Music. Cruz bay is a great day trip for vacationers in St Thomas.

Yelp
Theres plenty of little cafes and some stores of "high end" independent retailers that sell sunglasses to DSLRS. A few of the shops have some nice clothes and some gift items, we walked by a few that had some Lacoste polos and hot sauce in the same store. Worth a visit if you on island

Yelp
This place is so pretty and it's right down the street from the dock!! Although most shops, i noticed, are very pricey, still nice to shop and stroll here. Few spots to eat here too! Definitely visit this spot

Yelp
Great shopping area, just too little time. Must visit Caravan Gallery, unique and beautifully crafted jewelry. Enjoyed lunch at Ocean Grill. Had caesar with delicious grilled shrimp. Husband had chicken fajita wrap, very tasty.
