Mongoose Restaurant & lounge Ocho Rios jamaica

I am very happy I decided to try Mongoose Restaurant. They get it right, the atmosphere, service, food, and music. Our server, Trish, was excellent, presented herself well, and just the right attitude, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. It's been a while since I have been to a restaurant where I can't think of a negative feedback - perfect start to a great weekend! Go to Mongoose, ask for Trish, you will be satisfied! Cheers!

I visited Mongoose restaurant and bar this evening. The service and atmosphere were excellent. They have a live band every Saturday evening. You can come alone to enjoy a meal and relax while listening to the local DJ and the live band.

We came here and ate as part of our tour. Nice little restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Forgot to take pictures of the food 😅 but took a picture of the sign on the way out so I could remember the place next time.

I recently visited Mangoose restaurant in Ocho Rios and unfortunately, the service was non-existent. After arriving, I stood waiting for assistance, but no staff member acknowledged my presence for over 45 minutes. Despite making eye contact with a few employees passing by, none offered to help or even pointed me in the right direction. It felt as though I was completely ignored, and it left me frustrated with the lack of basic customer service. I understand busy times, but being completely overlooked for an extended period is unacceptable. This experience definitely needs improvement in terms of attentiveness and care.

This is hands down the WORST experience I’ve ever had dining out. From waiting an hour to be seated to 2.5 hours to receive our orders, it was terrible. On top of this, our orders came mixed up with that of another table and get ready for this…was taken from our table and brought to the “correct table”!!! Who does that?!?! And with all of this, not one apology but instead we were brushed off or given an attitude as if we were a bother when we checked on the orders. The only saving grace is the setup and music that gave a nice ambiance. Look elsewhere!

The service was extremely poor; it took 2 hours to get some water and 1.5 hours to to receive our drinks after waiting for an hour to order drinks. Food was alright but was barely warm after taking over 2 hours to be served to our table. One of the items we ordered was never received and had to re-order an entrée 3 times because the first 2 options were “sold out”. One of our drinks was served in a dirty glass and had to be sent back. I will not be coming back here, it was not worth the hype.

First I of to big up my server jody she have a friendly personality an good customer service...food it deserves the wait food 1000/1000... this is my new chill spot know. I never mention the bartender tasha big up you have it lock keep up the good work. It was a pleasure making it here

Great venue, location is right there in Main Street, and food was very delicious and well done. We had a wonderful time until we had to settle our bill at the bar. They need a better way of tracking orders as that was the only blight to our experience here.
