An excellent experience for the second year in a row. Driving through the streets of Tokyo in a go-kart is still a unique and exciting experience. Everything was well organized once again, and Pol was the best guide—fun, attentive, and always making sure everyone felt safe and had a great time. I highly recommend this company and would definitely do it again!

Monkey Go Karting Adventures in Shibuya was one of the highlights of my trip to Tokyo. From the moment I arrived, the team was incredibly welcoming with great attitudes all around. The orientation was clear, informative, and made me feel confident before hitting the streets. During the ride, the guides were awesome — super supportive, fun, and they even took photos of me along the way, which was a great touch. Huge shoutout to Rakesh and Julian for being absolute legends. They made the whole experience unforgettable. The go karts themselves had some real power behind them, which made the ride even sweeter and way more fun than I expected. I’d highly recommend this to anyone visiting Tokyo — it’s an absolute must-do. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the city!

We had the BEST time on our go-kart tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Luis. We arrived about 24 minutes late because we got lost, but he was so patient, kind, and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Instead of rushing us, he gave us a personalized tour and made sure we felt completely comfortable before we even got on the road. We were a little nervous at first, but Luis’s calm demeanor and clear instructions instantly put us at ease. He genuinely cared about our safety and kept checking in throughout the tour. His customer service was outstanding — warm, professional, and thoughtful in every way. This experience was unforgettable, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat! My friend and I were looking for a great Mario Kart experience while in Tokyo and ended up having the best time with the Monkey Kart team. Despite arriving later than expected, the team was super accommodating and allowed for us to take our tour (which ended up a private tour) with our guide Rakesh. The training with maneuvering the karts, the tour route itself, and amazing photos all taken by Rakesh made for an A1 experience. Will definitely book with Monkey Kart on my next visit!

Monkey Kart was an incredible experience. The views were breathtaking, and the interactions with the crowd were truly priceless. The tour guide did an excellent job explaining everything, from the instructions to the routes and safety measures. I felt very comfortable with him. He also took some amazing photos of everyone and engaged in great conversations.

I found this company from an instagram video and the booked the tour on TripAdvisor. We did the nighttime tour and it was so much fun! Our guide Serhii was great- I never felt unsafe, and he went above and beyond to get great pictures of everybody. We got to see a lot of other go-kart tours, but I have to say Monkey Kart go-karts definitely looked the coolest. Would for sure do another tour with them!

Wonderful experience. Reece was a great guide. Staff were very friendly and easy to work with. The carts were fun, and had more lights and features than all the others we saw on the ride. They had a large selection of costumes to choose from, and they all were very apparently well kept and clean. Would 10/10 recommend this location to anyone looking to experience the go carts around Tokyo.

We drove go-karts around the streets of Tokyo and had a BLAST! I saw posts about this experience while doing research for our trip, but was really nervous about the idea of driving in an open vehicle without a helmet in one of the busiest cities in the world. Fortunately, a friend was in Tokyo prior to our trip and told me how much fun it was and that she felt really safe the whole time. That was enough of an endorsement for me, so I made a reservation online (super easy through their website) and stopped by the local AAA office to get an international driving permit (IDP). An IDP is required to drive in Japan, no exceptions. Some countries might not issue one as well, so be sure to check your specific regulations in your home country. There are three different routes for the Monkey Kart experience. We chose route 2, which goes through Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya Crossing. We went during the day, which felt less scary to me, haha. Once you arrive, you'll get suited up in a fun costume, store your stuff in a locker, and watch a safety video. The video was informative and easy to follow, and outlined how our guide Ken would have us follow along with him using hand signals. Then we were off! The go kart was easy to maneuver and I felt safe. We got going pretty fast and it was absolutely thrilling. You drive on the left side of the road in Japan, but I was never worried about the driving since Ken was such a great guide. He also took so many awesome photos of us! You can take your own photos and video but only while stopped at red lights. Ken's photos were way better than all of mine. Once we got back, Ken presented us each with a printed photo that he had taken, which was such a cool keepsake. The tour was about $100USD per person, which was totally worth it as this was the best experience we had in Tokyo!

Such a fun experience! Definitely something you will remember...with wonderful pictures of the drive by our amazing tour guide Satar! Do it...you will not regret this decision. Requires a bit of preparation because you will need to go to the local AAA in the US for an international drivers permit. Actually not hard and only costs $20.

This was such a fun experience! After seeing so many instagram videos we definitely wanted to try this during our trip. We went through trip 2, the drive went through Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Harajuku. I definitely recommend this trip, you saw all the best stuff and we even went through Shibuya crossing! The trip is about 1 hour and 15 minutes which is perfect. The location was so easy to find and the staff were so friendly and provided us with a fun experience. When booking this I would definitely pay attention to time of the year and time of the day. We came during cheer blossom season so the weather was perfect for go carting outdoors, and we booked for 3:30pm which was perfect because the sun was out, it wasn't hot and it started getting cold right after our trip was over. Only con was the constant smell of the gasoline from the carts around you, it was a little intense, but aside from that we were so happy to have experienced Japan in this way!

Go Cart in Tokyo is definitely a great experience. However, the process definitely left us not impressed. We booked this experience months before going to Japan. A month before our trip, we get an email asking if we can go out at a different time. However, we already have pre-plan activities for the day so we couldn't go earlier. They understand and confirm that we can go at the time we picked. The day of our go cart experience an hour before our time that the message us they couldn't accommodate us and ask if we could go the next day. We're only in Tokyo for a few days. We made plans for our family outings so we couldn't just go the next day plus it was going to rain the next day. We get there and it's double booked. They did take us go cart the same day but we never made it to the front of the line for our pictures or get to experience driving in front. Of course they apologizes. They need to have a better booking system because if people are booking online, it shouldn't have double booked.

The staff were really nice. We had a great time with the best instructor - Brandon. It was a thrilling adventure to be driving around the streets of Japan! I loved it! I never once felt that I was unsafe. Our tour guide definitely made us feel comfortable and was constantly checking for our safety in the streets. They took many pictures for us and was given a printed photo as a keepsake! This was definitely one of the best ways to get the full experience of being in the city. I highly recommend!

This was the first thing I did after I landed in Tokyo, and I can't think of a better start to my trip! Rafa and Rakesh were both incredible - walking us through how the karts worked before the trip and taking us on an amazing ride through Shibuya and Shinjuku! I cannot recommend this highly enough - everyone had a blast and they take tons of photos for you during the trip so you don't have to worry about it while driving. I'll be recommending this to everyone!!
