Mixed feelings about the museum, while leaning very positive. The entrance gallery (before going upstairs) was underwhelming and lacks maintenance, as the panels are worn out and several of the letters can't be read. But the addition of an augmented reality link to 'view' craftsmen at work was a good idea. The first upstairs room felt like a local museum (where you'd take school kids for a trip), while noting the exceptional quality of the coins and medals on display (they may be century old but looked as if minted yesterday). The wow factor came in the main room, which had several immersive stations and a craft person to talk about their work. From here on, it was a strong and modern way to engage. The path was rather confusing though, with going down (to watch a movie in french only) to come back up and then struggling to find the exit. I liked the free coin and exchange idea. Overall, a lot of thoughtful work went into this but there are a few bits to fix still.

This museum is a hidden gem, offering one of the most captivating experiences in Paris. It delves into the art of coin craftsmanship and the evolution of metalwork over time. The collection includes coins from ancient Greece, Rome, and modern eras. Beyond coins and ingots, you’ll discover fascinating stories, such as the recovery of treasures from a sunken Dutch ship. Visitors can also explore the impressive coin-printing machines in action. Ideal for families, friends, or anyone seeking a unique activity, this museum offers a relaxed experience without the long queues typical of Parisian attractions. Conveniently located near the Louvre, it’s a perfect addition to your visit.

We have had a good time with father. He enjoys this a lot, we bought quite a few collectibles (coins). Very good place for someone who is into this stuff

I think this museum was very interesting and extensive, but not too large. Texts are written in English as well which is nice. The building is beautiful and the exhibition covers many themes related to Monnaie de Paris, and money in general. I liked it how the exhibition is divided into suitable-sized parts, which makes it easier to follow. The texts are of optimal length. And of course, they have the Paris Olympic medals on display! Also, at least around 14 pm on Sunday, there were no lines at all and one could just walk in.

Excellent pieces and presentation. Lovely commemorative coins. The museum is kind of small for now but I hope the collection gets larger as the years go on. Definitely drop by the gift shop. I love the fact that it was less crowded and more calm, it enables a pleasant visitor experience.

We've been visiting the Museum on August 23 for the permanent exhibition and also temporary exhibition featuring Money in the Art. Famous and iconic subjects are on display in this museum covering more than millennial operation of coin minting in France. I particularly loved the items on consumerism in the Art.

Very beautiful building next to Seine River. This year. The place hosted the 10th anniversary of Asia Now exhibition Art Paris.

I visited the museum for free because it was the free weekend so it was a bit crowded but still need to book ticket. I was given coins to carve at the beginning of the tour Displays were nice but a bit too technical at the beginning
