Monsoon Riverside Hostel

This was my worst hostel experience ever. I booked a “mixed dormitory” but found myself in a room with only male teenagers and men. The room smelled terrible, was unclean, and the hostel was located in a red-light district, making me feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable. I decided to leave at 11 PM and book another hotel instead (best decision ever). The next morning, I returned to request a cancellation for my second night, which I had paid for at a higher rate directly at the hostel. The staff initially told me to come back the next day, but when I did, the manager refused any refund. In total, I lost over $15 for a horrible experience. I highly recommend avoiding this place!

Was given a room. Upgrade was nice. Room was quite large with a balcony at the front. Noise is ever present due to the surrounding bars. Ideally placed in street 130 if that's what you are there for. There us no elevator. I was gratef gfearful for the higher floor but the stairs were a pain. .

there were no lifts so it was a very steep climb to the 4th floor (leaves you breathless), especially with all your baggage. hotel is located near the nightlife streets so throughout the night, you can hear music and ladies making a lot of noise. there was barely any hot water and the shower was broken. not exactly the cleanest either, found dustwebs near my bed. overall, very disappointed…

room was nice and comfy. shower was ok but usable. location is great for if you want to be close to a lot of night life — bars, restaurants, etc., but you will hear noise and screaming all night.

It's located in the middle of the entertainment district, so it's a great place to go for drinks!However, because of this, the hotel was very crowded. Also, the room smelled moldy, which was bothersome.However, this is a common occurrence in Cambodia, so I felt it was best not to worry too much about it.

Good location although a little noisy at night. Very clean hotel, good size room and helpful staff. The nosie issue is not a problem with ear plugs.

The location is near many bars. It's good for its price. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The only downside is the stairs.

If you are a solo traveller and dont bring too much on your travel, then you should be booking this hotel!!! 100% clean and comfortable place to stay!! If you have heavy bags, make sure to bring some cardio with you because you have to climb stairs up to 4th floor.. NO Elevator. Just think of it as your daily exercise.. I would love to come back here. Its more than what you paid for!!
