We had such an incredible experience with Monster Day Tours that we ended up doing two tours in two days. Chinatown Tour with Just Ng: Even a torrential Singapore downpour couldn’t dampen this experience. Our guide, Just Ng, was absolutely fantastic. His energy was infectious from the start, and he navigated the group expertly through the "five-foot ways" to keep us as dry as possible without missing a beat. Just is incredibly knowledgeable, but he delivers history with a sense of humor that makes it feel like you’re exploring with a friend rather than sitting through a dry lecture. He turned a potential washout into a genuine highlight of our trip! City Walking Tour with Shane: The following day, we joined the City Tour with Shane, who was equally phenomenal. Shane is a master storyteller. Instead of just reciting dates and facts, he wove together insightful narratives that brought Singapore’s culture and history to life. The tour was perfectly balanced—highly educational but consistently entertaining. There wasn't a single dull moment. Final Verdict: If you are visiting Singapore, these walking tours are a must. Whether it’s the deep cultural dive of Chinatown or the historical context of the City tour, you’ll walk away with a much deeper appreciation for this place. Pro Tip: Don’t let the rain scare you off—the guides are pros at handling the weather. Wear comfortable shoes and just enjoy the ride!

Ping offered an amazing tour. I appreciated that she had a device to amplify her voice, she made sure to find places for us to sit while she shared information, and she took photos of us for a photo journal. I learned a lot about Singapore and am very happy that I went on the tour.

I was pleasantly delighted when I joined Just Ng's tour. He made the tour relax with his personal anecdotes weaved into the history of Singapore, specifically Chinatown. A good walking tour to attend if are finding one.

Highly recommend the ‘Melaka After Dark Food Tour’. Our host Jaqueline was excellent and the curated food selections from Ivy were sensational. First time to Melaka and this was the best way to learn about the places the locals go to for the best food, off the tourist trail. Great value and they take care of everything, just rock up and enjoy. More than just a food tour, you learn about the history and culture along the way and other must-do things to see afterwards. Jacqueline even checked in afterwards to make sure we made it back to our hotel OK. What a legend. So grateful. Highly recommend Monster for a great experience. .

Did the evening food tour with Pam and Islandar. Pam was lively and was really engaging. I've been traveling and the have had some very mediocre tour guides recently, so the difference was so obvious. Pam was sincere and had a great sense of humor. It was lovely to hear the mix of the script and her personal experience. That's what makes a the tour content less robotic and she did it perfectly. Big thanks to Iskandar for dealing with the food logistics as well! btw my fav was 肉骨茶 (bak kut teh). to be honest it looks so bland but in reality it's super flavorful. Broth is peppery and salted just right and the meat was never but wasn't overcooked and mushy.

Monster Day Tours Shanghai offered an unique perspective to explore the hidden gems along the Suzhou Creek, Huangpu River and the Yuyuan garden. 3 hours' morning walk was so pleasant and full of interesting stories of old Shanghai as well as China's rise and falls through time. The short stop by Nanjing Road pedestrian street was so thoughtful and offered us an opportunity to try nice local street food and drinks.I was amazed by the mosque on the HSBC building by the Bund. Jane was so knowledgeable and helpful with nice photos. I really enjoyed the soup dumplings in Yuyuan Bazaar. Thanks so much for making my day in Shanghai.

My 10 year old daughter and I took a free tour called City of Singapore with Monster Day Tours. Our guide Gene was so passionate about history and made the tour so interesting that my 10 year old did not get bored for a minute. It rained heavily and Gene was able to navigate / reroute the tour to spend minimal time getting wet. I wish we could take more tours with this guide, Gene is a super star.
