8 of Singapore's most interesting walking tours - SilverKris

"Offers five free walking tours that give first-time visitors an informative overview of some of Singapore’s most distinctive neighbourhoods, including guided visits to cultural quarters and a Marina Bay route that includes areas of the Marina Bay Sands complex not usually open to the public; walk-ins are welcome but bookings are prioritised, and customised paid private-group tours are available for those who prefer a private experience." - Rachel Eva Lim

Ping offered an amazing tour. I appreciated that she had a device to amplify her voice, she made sure to find places for us to sit while she shared information, and she took photos of us for a photo journal. I learned a lot about Singapore and am very happy that I went on the tour.

My 10 year old daughter and I took a free tour called City of Singapore with Monster Day Tours. Our guide Gene was so passionate about history and made the tour so interesting that my 10 year old did not get bored for a minute. It rained heavily and Gene was able to navigate / reroute the tour to spend minimal time getting wet. I wish we could take more tours with this guide, Gene is a super star.

Great Day Trip! Guided by Mr Jhon Wee, a great speaker who told many things not only about Singapore but how they are made, how they got this far, how much what tree is affecting them. Lovely and highly recommended

I had such a fantastic time on this walking tour! From the very beginning, our guide made the experience engaging and fun, sharing fascinating stories and little-known facts that really brought the city to life. The pace was perfect—never rushed, but also never slow—and there was a great balance between walking, exploring, and pausing to take it all in. What I loved most was how the tour combined well-known highlights with hidden gems I would have completely missed on my own. It gave me a fresh perspective on Singapore, and I left with a much deeper appreciation of its culture, history, and everyday life. If you want more than just a surface-level visit and enjoy discovering both iconic sights and tucked-away corners, this is the perfect way to experience the city. Highly recommend John.

We were looking for a private walking tour in Singapore and we're very glad we went with Monster Day. We had a wonderful tour led by Nissah. She was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing interesting history and cultural insights in a way that kept everyone engaged. What we really appreciated was how considerate she was of our group’s pace and interests — my in-laws especially enjoyed the relaxed, well-paced day. Nissah even made sure we stayed comfortable, keeping us out of the heat and reminding us to stay hydrated. She even looked at our agenda for the next couple days and suggested the best route and places to eat. On top of that, I had originally booked the tour for the wrong day, and the company graciously accommodated a last-minute change at no extra cost as a goodwill gesture. That level of flexibility and customer care made the experience even better. Overall, a fantastic tour with great service — I would highly recommend both Monster as a company and Nissah as a guide.

We did the food and night tour with guide Ping. The tour was great and she was a fantastic guide, we learnt a lot about the history of Singapore and ate a good variety of tasty food.

Fantastic three hour hawker food tour with Linda. She was knowledgeable and passionate … and guided us beautifully. Our group was small, eight in all, and we sampled a variety of dishes in a number of different locations. She offered a detailed description about each dish, as well as the local culture and the history of Singapore. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience not to be missed! If you're lucky you'll get a very friendly guide called Pamela and she'll show you around, take you to the places where the locals eat and are hidden gems in plain sight and tell you the stories about her country and the area you're at and the local heritage. More than 3 hours of different culinary experiences from the river area to the hawker Street and finished at the marina Bay... highly recommended especially family with kids
