"A small-batch, bean-to-bar chocolate producer based in Caguas whose chocolate is used by local chefs in desserts such as a silky brioche bread pudding." - Katherine LaGrave
Absolutely Delicious Chocolate. We first had their chocolate at a rum tasting at Bacardi, so had to go to the source. We sampled everything they had onsite. Each Chocolate was unique and tasted amazing. Prices were great. Staff were friendly and service was fast. Overall if you love chocolate that is top notch in quality and flavor then you need to try this place.

One of the few bean to bar chocolate makers in Puerto Rico, Montadero features amazingly delicious bonbons and locally sourced chocolate bars. The mango-limon, coco rum, and vanilla bonbons were among the best we had ever had. The proprietors are very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with our many questions. We'll come back on our next trip to PR!

We checked out this place last Saturday, and wow, it might look unassuming, but it's genuinely a hidden jewel. Seriously, the chocolates there are the best I've ever tasted. It's spots like this that make me appreciate the true artistry behind chocolate making. The chocolates aren't just made there, they're crafted to perfection—visually stunning and with flavors that are simply out of this world. Definitely recommend checking it out. I'll for sure be going back.

We had a tremendous time in the workshop, the the quality of the chocolate and deserts are the best i tasted in the island. And the prices are great and affordable , when you buy quality it’s ridiculous to complain on the price like ive seen in some of the reviews. You can buy a kit kat for 1$ or you can buy a piece of delicious art that was made with heart and soul for 5$. so take your pick. Bottom line i would Definitely recommend and come back for more.

Yelp
Incredible chocolate. Breathtakingly gorgeous and vibrant flavors. The mojito passion fruit bon bon was heavenly. The chocolate was so silky and rich, and that fruit filling was so tart and bright. The chocolates are made with real Puerto Rican cacao, grown and harvested about an hour away from the shop, and the fillings are also made with local ingredients.
You can chase the love in the chocolate. And you can tell the passion that goes into their chocolate making. The lady in the shop was so excited to Show me around and tell me all about the history of the shop and they're approach to chocolate making. As a self-appointed chocolate snob, I have a deep appreciation for passion in chocolate making.
Do not miss this hidden gem of a shop. Stop in for a sweet treat, or a coffee. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend love chocolate. We're such great fan of tasting different chocolate flavors. These were awesome! We had piña colada, mojito, coffee, and dark chocolate. We were so excited that we went right into the chocolate bars. Everything tasted so yummy. We'll be back soon!

Yelp
Bought a class experience and then realized that we would not be able to drive on the Puerto Rican roads to read this place from Luquillo. Sent multiple emails requesting a refund, and did not hear anything back. Got home and requested a refund through my bank and all of a sudden I am getting emails! They refused to give even a partial refund so be very careful if you think you won't be able to make it. This was first week of April 2025. So literally got noting and they were not inconvenienced in terms of doing anything extra. They were happy to keep all of the money without having to do one single thing. Montadero even said they did the class to my bank and said it was "delivered."
They know that people are tourists and can't always easily navigate the geography. Should have been more accommodating.
