My brother, sister and I have been coming down to Montauk since before we had the ability to form memories (literally), and the best childhood memories I do have are from our trips down to Montauk. And it wouldn’t be a proper trip to Montauk unless we stayed at the Montauk Manor. Now I have the pleasure to bring my godson and wife down to cherish and enjoy everything we did when we were children. The Manor holds a very special and important place in our hearts. It’s always a pleasure to spend our vacations with you. Everyone who works at the Manor is so pleasant and professional. We didn’t have a single bad experience when we were down there for our trip. We look forward to coming down again and staying with you soon. Thank you so much for everything. Best wishes, Alex

Google
I had a great stay at the Montauk Manor. Great location as well as a free shuttle that could take you anywhere in town. Both an indoor and outdoor pool, both of which had plenty of towels and there was also a lifeguard there which was great for peace of mind. The room was a little outdated, but it was great to have a mini kitchen and a living room. They did not have smart TVs but had many DVDs and boardgames available to check out. Everyone we spoke to at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Google
I reserved the accessible room for my mom. It had a spacious living room, excellent access via ramp to the deck that overlooked beautiful greenery and a kitchen with table and chairs. The bedroom was lovely, extra large closets and a large bathroom with a shower that could be accessed with a wheelchair. Everything was spotless. I strongly recommend this beautiful Montauk treasure!

Google
Service and location were good. We had a great room overlooking fort pond bay. It set the stage for a great beachy getaway. Loved our time there. Hope to go back next year

Google
Love The Manor. It’s my go to hotel when I’m in Montauk. Highly recommend. I’ve stayed in a variety of different rooms and my experience has always been fantastic. It’s great with Monte’s restaurant on premises. The views are magnificent. It’s not on the beach like most of the other hotels in Montauk but, I love it!

Google
Our room was nicely appointed. Kitchen was clean and well stocked with dishes and kitchen utensils. We had an outdoor deck that was larger than the room itself. Staff was very friendly. Grounds were very nice and easily walkable. 1 indoor and 1 outdoor pools both were easily accessable.

Google
We had a fantastic stay at this marvelous hotel. Our room was wonderful and well decorated. Fully equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms were an added bonus. Bed and linens were good quality, Noise level is very low (Our windows were facing pool and the ocean). On one of the mornings, we have used the gym facility, it is tiny, but has everything you need for a functional workout. We had breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, even though it is not affiliated with the resort, meal was plentiful , fresh and service was good. Resort offers a free shuttle into town, however, we used our own car to get around, plentiful parking on premises available. We were not lucky with the weather and could not enjoy outdoors fully, but I can imagine on a sunny warm day It is spectacular. I would definitely come back. Staff was kind and helpful. Check in and check out were a breeze!!

Google
Love the montauk manor! I always stay in the same loft suite. I would love it even more if it had a king bed (it currently has a queen bed). I also think the pull out couch needs to be replaced for the mattress is flat. I also love the outdoor patio and kitchen! The Outdoor pool is really nice. Grounds are beautiful! Restaurant on premises is excellent! I will go back as I alway do (every year)🙂

Yelp
Stayed at the Montauk Manor this past weekend for my birthday celebration with 5 of my friends. From the minute, we arrived at the Manor, the staff was so lovely and catering to our every need. They made us feel very warm and welcome. Later on we hit the pool area and met Patty a super sweet lady. The Two bedroom condo fabulous. The layout was perfect for our needs. We open the sofa bed and there was some crumbs nothing crazy and we called down to the front desk and immediately came up while we were down by the pool not only did they clean it, but they opened it and set up the bed for sleep that night. Earlier before we were leaving for dinner I went down to the front desk and told them I needed some soaps and would be calling down later in the evening for towels. She was going to give me the soaps to bring back to the room but we decided to take a picture and then completely forgot. Later on when they came back to clean the sofabed, they brought up lots of extra towels and soaps! The front desk remembered! A wonderful experience all around!

Yelp
Our weekend stay was lovely. The unit we were in had a Murphy bed in the living room that was so well camouflaged as a wall unit that we didn't realize until housekeeping came to set it up for us. We also had a loft upstairs with two Queen beds and a full bathroom. There was also a bathroom downstairs. The kitchen was a decent size though we didn't cook since we ate at Monte's for almost all our meals. They cleaned and made the beds while we were out. One of us used the hot tub in the lower level. The staff was friendly. The lobby is beautiful. I just wish the parking lot was closer. The one by the main entrance is usually full so you have to park at the lower one which isn't far away but when it freezing and windy, it sure feels far.

Yelp
Super nice and quiet winter weekend getaway. It was freezing outside but we had a nice warm room with a view, beautiful indoor pool with a hot tub and sauna. Was also nice to have a restaurant & bar in the lobby !!! They also have a shuttle

Yelp
I'm a homeowner at the Manor. The Jacuzzi has been inoperable for most of the last 5 years!! So what the F is going on? P.S. I've heard it all!!!!

Yelp
The Montauk Manor is a classy historic hotel closely located to the LIRR Montauk stop. DAHIANA made sure to make us feel welcomed. I planned a trip for my mom's birthday and Mother's Day weekend. Montauk Manor was the perfect place. She really enjoyed herself. The grounds were beautiful, the Manor was charming, and the trees were in full bloom. I appreciated that after we had to comment on a situation with our room, it was quickly and swiftly resolved. I enjoyed the shuttle service because it was a nice treat to not have to call an Uber or Lyft. We were able to use the shuttle to go into town and the train station. Montauk gives relaxation vibes for sure. I could see us returning over and over just to unwind. Thanks for a great stay!

Yelp
Hats off! Montauk Manor has to be the happening and most exquisite hotel in Montauk. It's like a mini mansion with an indoor pool, gym, restaurant, bar and the most beautiful interior decoration. And how convenient it's about 5 minutes away from Montauk train station. It's really mesmerizing and carries a sharp personality. My friend and I was passing through so we decided to stop in at the bar for drinks and appetizers. I ended up having an Aperol and tiramisu. A bit pricey, but the atmosphere was refreshing and accommodating. We were told this place get seriously busy during the summer months and holiday season during the winter months. It's very classic and warm hearted.

Yelp
I stayed here for a business meeting and the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with accommodating our group. The rooms were excellent, clean and provided unbelievable views. If you ever venture out to Montauk, I highly recommend staying here. You won't be dissappointed.

Yelp
This is my favorite hotel! Always so clean, nice and quiet. As a traveling event coordinator, I am always staying at different hotels all over the tri state area and this one is a cut above the rest. Patty, the front desk attendant is one of the sweetest people in the world and she made me feel like family the moment I stepped through the front door. Definitely, Definitelyyyy coming back soon

Gina P.

Yelp
Amazing time . Staff was awesome . The manager Was amazing always thinks about us . Left A bottle of wine for Our anniversary . I highly recommend this property . Very clean and quaint and always so special.

Yelp
Nice spacious suite on 3rd floor. Two full bathrooms, balcony, living room and two flatscreen TVs. Fully equipped kitchen. Overall, a pretty nice experience. Many of the staff appeared disengaged or even hostile. Check in was abrupt which I found peculiar. Not sure I'd come back since there are a couple more luxurious oceanfront resorts that don't require a shuttle ride to the beach. Oh, also if you think you've lucked out with a water facing unit think again. The LIRR terminates about a mile away from these units and the noise of diesel locomotives starting around 730p extends for at least 90 minutes making your beautiful sunset view a horrid juxtaposition of heavy industrial sounds and a beautiful ocean view.

Yelp
We absolutely loved Montauk Manor. The grounds are spectacular and very clean as well as our room. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We ate breakfast in Monte's and it was great. They redid indoor pool and locker rooms and they were beautifully done. I would highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
For a 5 star hotel I found there to be very little help, assistance. Every time I asked for information or some help regarding specific information no one knew what was going on! For the price you charge and the number of people in our party who booked a room with your establishment,we definitely should have received some assistance. When asking for "concierge" service? "We don't have that here.... Really a 5 star hotel without a concierge. No bell hops?we lugged a HELL of a lot of luggage by ourselves. I guess we should be grateful you had luggage carts for us to borrow. The hominess of the room and the availability of the kitchenette proved to be the only reasons for the 2 stars I will leave you with.

Diane M.

Yelp
Everything! The 3 bedroom suite was gorgeous with all the amenities you would want! It's a perfect location for Fall girls trip! Can't wait to use the newly opened pool and Sauna next year!

Lorin M.

Yelp
Easy check in and Donna is wonderful she provided me with a Keurig coffee maker that I has asked for ahead of time We stayed in the same renovated clean Two bed bath suite that we had during our daughter's wedding week two years ago ! There is a great restaurant Monte's but only open on the weekends this time of the year ! Will stay here many times as our children have a home in Montauk and sometimes have to accommodate many relatives at the same time ! Until the next time we highly recommend this wonderful property !

Lynn C.

Yelp
We loved it! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the staff were all very nice. We were not able to use the pool at the time, since it was closed for renovations and repairs, but otherwise I'd recommend it.

Yelp
"Thank you for an unforgettable early Sweet 16 getaway for my daughter. The friendly and helpful front desk staff made us feel so welcome, and housekeeping's thoughtful phone call with a polite message to reach out if we needed anything was such a nice touch. Amy, the massage therapist, was incredible, and Savannah, the lifeguard, made the pool a favorite spot. Dinner at Monte's was a highlight--the signature spaghetti with sauce was so delicious, I took the rest back to the room to enjoy later that night. The manor's charm truly made the trip special, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. My daughter loved the place, and we're already looking forward to coming back. We'd love to meet the owners and manager next time! Interestingly, a book I purchased from Barnes & Noble hinted at a different story... perhaps some mysteries are best left between the pages."

Yelp
Beautiful place spacious rooms great staff. Breakfast at the restaurant was great too

RJ D.

Yelp
This place is confusing and disappointing and just plain odd. First off the lobby is nice and majestic, as the place was build by the same guy that built the Breakers in florida so it has a grand feel to it....and then it goes to crap. The second you veer out of ht lobby you enter hallways that are more depressing than a wake. Seriously, these are the dingiest hallways ever. Think college dorm from the 1980's or a decrepit motel of I95. The rooms are condos that are part of a rental pool, so you're at the luck of the draw if you're condo owner invested in any upkeep. Our unit was clean but so dated and while the views can be nice if you're lucky to be on that side of the building, barely any rooms have balconys so you almost feel claustrophobic. The pool itself is ok, very dated...once again, think motel pool in the 1980's and there is virtually nothing to do here if the weather is not perfect. You're cooped up in your room and there are no overhangs or porches outside to sit. The restauraunt looked cozy, but we didn't go. The other thing is that there is no place to get coffee there in the AM. The staff was ok but the rules are very petty there..for example you cant use your hotel key to go to the gym, you need to exchange it for a gym key and then swap it back after...little things like that. Maybe a good place to go to in the winter time in Montauk, but aside from that a total bust, won't come back.

Yelp
The Montauk Manor is iconic. The history of the building combined with the beauty of it makes for a unique experience. I always feel any experience is better when the staff is good. At the Montauk Manor all of the staff members are amazing, dedicated and overall wonderful. If you have the opportunity to stay there you should jump on it. The rooms are clean and well maintained, the grounds are beautiful, the lobby is spectacular. The lobby makes you feel like you took a ride back to the roaring 20's and all it's glamour and splendor! Over the past few months they have opened the restaurant, Monte's, which also has great staff, amazing food and a cozy bar right in the Lobby of the Hotel. This past weekend I was there and Sunday was rainy and cold. I decided to grab a cocktail at the bar and had the nicest conversations with other customers, the owner of the restaurant and the bartender as well as the hostess and wait staff. Great service, great food and the prices are not at all excessive! I really need yo leave them a separate review! I highly recommend both the Montauk Manor and their in house restaurant.

Yelp
The Manor is a wonderful place to stay. Update rooms and many, many amenities. If given the chance, we will stay again.
google avatar

Nuno M.

Yelp
Not allowed to bring my skateboard inside the hotel. This is a strange policy designed to upset the guests. Obviously I won't come back. Service was also very poor. They didn't clean properly, specially the coffee machine was still with coffee.

Yelp
Historical place with. Sunny and cherry vibe! Great internet so I was able to work from there as Well!!

Megan P.

Yelp
Friendly staff and the shuttle into town was a terrific convenience! Also enjoyed the pool, restaurant, and beach pass.

Colleen G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, beautiful sunset! Lovely staff John the bartender was amazing and gave a great historical background on the manor lovely man. Food was good just very peaceful. Can't wait to go back!!!

Brittany H.

Yelp
The atmosphere and location is beautiful. My reasoning for 2 stars was the cleanliness of the rooms. My family and I stayed in one of their rooms that had a kitchen, 2bathrooms, living room and loft. I was very disappointed by the conditions. A Quick Look over and yeah it seems clean but when you're actually taking a look it was not. I have red kinky hair but saw strands of black & blonde hair. Showers, bathroom sinks, sheets were not clean to the best potential and this was a trip where my fiancé wanted to me relax but I just couldn't because how uncomfortable I felt with filth around myself, fiancé & 1 Year OldFortunately, we booked through a third party site and got a great deal but if I was booking through them I would have been furious about the amount of money my fiancé would have had to spend if we booked through them. I truly believe they need to do better with keeping rooms clean

Yelp
Best hotel in Montauk! Excellent amenities, great views and helpful service. Left feeling refreshed. Also free shuttle into Montauk was very helpful. Donna & Janice were very helpful in making it a great experience.

Susan W.

Yelp
Amazing time! Just rebooked for June. Patty at the front desk is an asset to the manor!

Amit B.

Yelp
Don't drink the water! Nice clean place. I would stay again if in the area. Windows had a view but screens made it not great. But great views outside My only negative comment is that they have water in the room. On the back of the bottle it's says 4 bucks. Saw it after I opened the bottle. Kind of annoying I would expect they would provide water. So I didn't look on back of bottle.

Tina S.

Yelp
I love the Montauk Manor.. only place for me!! Besides the amazing feel and comfort I had the best dirty martini!
google avatar

Theo B.

Yelp
The manor is beautiful and the rooms are amazing . I didn't like the spa because of cancellation and her policy her customer service was poor. I loved the rooms and the pool Patricia and Alondria were perfect. The staff at the front desk was so helpful. I didn't want to leave TYSM for a beautiful stay.

Yelp
1 star for check in experience 3 for hotel overall I came to celebrate my 25th birthday in Montauk this Friday - Saturday with a friend and I'm just shy of 25 (bday is 2/27) I did not know or see Montauk manor having a rule of needing to be 25+ to make the reservation or any other age related rules or restrictions until after I had made my booking and got to that confirmation page. I immediately called and explained that it was just us two girls, I was turning 25 several days later and that the friend I was traveling with was 26 herself. The woman I spoke to on the phone could not have been nicer and she said there was no problem and she'd make a note in my account. Upon check in - we were not greeted with a hi or a welcome. We were asked "what can I help you with" and upon checking in and giving our ID's and a credit card were told "just so you know we typically have a 25+ reservation rule" and when I explained that I was 4 days shy of being 25 and had called and there should've been a note in my account / reservation, the lady simply said "oh yeah I know I saw it". I'm just not sure how this comment was even necessary if I'm traveling with someone that's 26, I'm turning 25 in 4 days so I can't possibly come back at under 25 and we're just two girls not a group of 10 rowdy people or several "under age" people. Then as a conclusion this check in person says "just be careful not to disturb the other guests." I'm disgusted with that experience and it made the rest of our stay very uncomfortable. We were back from our activities at 8pm and went to bed and were asleep by 10. We were then up and out by 845 am to get to a workout class. We were barely there and the little time we were there we were made to feel so unwelcome by this worker :( If anything I typically am disturbed by the families in hotels around me - being woken up late or early by crying babies or energetic kids. It's the dead of winter there are no clubs open and regardless of any of that it's incredibly frustrating to be someone that works 2 jobs and is in grad school and had to grow up at a very young age bc of personal life experience just to be treated like a child not worthy of this little break from life and responsibility. Moral of the story - if you work in hospitality you need to be hospitable. The location is incredibly outdated and being given a plastic bag with our tv remotes and a bag with our receipts for express check out on the door handles is all so tacky. It's Montauk and it's not 1980. This could be such a wonderful place and experience but a lot needs to be updated & maybe there needs to be more training on hospitality.

Yelp
Had a great time at Montauk Manor last week. Our duplex suite was nice and very comfortable. If you are visiting Montauk this is the place to stay.

Woodman T.

Yelp
Very cool place. Quiet and comfortable. Friendly staff. Great outdoor seating area with a bird's eye view of the bay.
google avatar

Eileen G.

Yelp
Great stay! The staff was so friendly and very happy to welcome you. Great views of the bay from our patio!

Joyce R.

Yelp
Just got back from a long weekend at Montauk Manor. We loved our spacious one bedroom deluxe suite overlooking the bay. We enjoyed the tennis court and the newly designed indoor pool. A special thanks to Savannah a dedicated lifeguard who encouraged me to overcome my fear of water and taught me basic swimming principles. I will always be grateful to her.

joseph p.

Yelp
Every detail. The lighting...the dark tones...the greeters and servers...now the open doors to the garden...and of course, the food. Very lovely. Very special experience. We have been several times...as a 2 top...6...and 10...each time wonderful. Enjoy.

Richard D.

Yelp
Great location and views Excellent staff Rooms are a little dated bathrooms are worse Expected with the age of the hotel. Overall good stay

Arleen F.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful hotel gorgeous views !! great service beautiful rooms ! comfortable beds I can't say enough. It's like old world charm. Can't wait to come back.

Joe G.

Yelp
Great place with great people. Restaurant, Montes. Was really good and service excellent. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
It's not so low as a Best Western, but it's not much better. Actually, a best western might get a deeper clean. It's not like it's dirty, it's just not as pristine as most hotels at this price point. It's a beautiful building - on the outside. Old, historic with amazing views. Inside the age shows. They need to update, big time. Also the walls are paper thin. Each morning, my neighbor's played disco music from 4:45-5:45! You can hear people banging, walking, talking. The staff is helpful and friendly. The inside pool is very clean. One of the cleanest inside pools I've seen.
google avatar

CG R.

Yelp
Always a refuge for peace and tranquility. A truly courteous staff. And good to have Monte's Restaurant! Tasty!!

Gabby G.

Yelp
The staff was awesome and our room was beautiful . Chaz was such an awesome shuttle driver and a fantastic employee ! I definetly recommend

Mary M.

Yelp
Stayed one night with intentions of purchasing a unit. We saw a couple of ants at night in the bathroom before we retired for the night. Tired and didn't think much about it. Next morning we noticed more ants. In the sink, tub and floor. I was so grossed out. I checked out very early. I told the manager at the front desk when I was checking out. I didn't want anything I just wanted to make them aware. She seemed to care less and told me other rooms have ants. Another front desk woman said she has ants in her house. I told them I do not. Obviously she has an ant problem and so does the Montauk Manor. I'll go back to Gurneys or Surf Club.

keith s.

Yelp
Great historical venue to spend time at. Winters in Montauk at the manor are wonderful

Catherine A.

Yelp
The Montauk Manor is a historic charm in beautiful Montauk. I had the opportunity to stay there with my best friend. I love the beachy vibe, the grounds and the view. Patty at the front desk is super nice and helpful. I will be back next year.

L A.

Yelp
Grounds are stunning, rooms are subpar. This place seems to be going downhill. While the gardens and lawns are well maintained, the rooms are not. Ours had a broken couch bed and they just said: 'sorry we can't fix it.' Ditto a noisy fan from adjoining unit. Bring your ear plugs.
google avatar

Fone A.

Yelp
Love everything except the AC room not cold enough, need to fix for this price The bath tub sink take too slow to drain. Went to reception aroundc3 am but no Staff ,wanted to ask some tylanol cause room so hot.... Overall great, the pool was nice The view, friendly staff.....

Yelp
Stayed at Montauk Manor for one night for a girl's trip. Pro: conveniently located, had last minute availabilities, awesome staff (one of the ladies at the front desk spent 15 minutes entertaining our dvd choices, lovely views of the water from the patio Con: Pricey for smallish 1br/1bath, pool & hot tub area bit claustrophobic in the basement for my taste, outdated style TL;DR : reasonable choice for prime Montauk holiday with good staff, however be wary may be a bit outdated & expensive (but, hey, it is Montauk!)
