Monte Christo Winery

We booked online from the UK because it looked cute and was not overly expensive. We had a wonderful stay in Bladier cottage. The staff were very accommodating as we arrived after they had closed but we were sent instructions so we found it without a problem. As we had booked direct we were given a complimentary breakfast which was delicious and kept us going. We had a tasting (it would have been rude to go somewhere else, and it was informative and great wines. Overall this was the perfect little interlude in a busy schedule. Thank you

We spent an incredible afternoon at the winery. The grounds and gardens are beautiful, the lunch from the food truck was gorgeous but best of all was the wine tasting. Sasha was amazing and sooo knowledgeable. The wines were fabulous. Thank you, we look forward to returning.

We stayed in Paris cottage and Feraud cottage. The accommodation is beautiful and very luxurious. There’s a lot of amenities and it would be a good place to also stay longer than the two nights we booked. The views are lovely from the cottages and there is great outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed the wine tasting at the cellar door and the food from the food van. The team at Monte Christo went above and beyond to welcome us, helping us arrange things like taxis in the evening. I would highly recommend staying here.

Had a lovely tasting in the cellar door with Rebecca. The tasting was very in-depth with information about the winery’s history, the local area, and the nuances of each central Otago subregion. The wines were all delicious and the hospitality was even better! Can’t wait to go back and try the food next time.

We only did the wine tasting : the lady who guided us was adorable ! The range of wines are pretty much on the dry side and we learned a lot about the region.

Thanks so much to Sasha who took myself and two cycling friends on a tour and tasting session this afternoon. It was really enjoyable and very informative without being too confusing. We had an really pleasant afternoon. She also helped us booking a table for dinner on our way home. A great way to spend an afternoon if you're cycling the Otago Rail Trail (from Clyde).

Went for a wine tasting and it was excellent. Very reasonable price, excellent service, and great wines. The grounds are beautiful and our only regret was not getting something to eat as well…

Just went for a wine tasting and was very pleasantly surprised by the location and even more so the excellent wine tasting with Sasha who was knowledgeable, fun and couldn’t have done any more to give us such a great experience, we have fallen in love with Monte Christo
