My wife and I spent three nights at Monte Christo Winery in June of this year. It was spectacular! Already planning to return in the future. Rebecca was fantastic recommending and serving wine and also acting as an ad hoc concierge helping us finding other wineries to visit (it was winter so our choices were limited somewhat by the season). We had the Paris cottage and it was a VERY nice place to stay. Definitely enjoyed the in room fire place as well as the outdoor shower. And just today we received our 15 bottles of wine and our looking forward to drinking them.

Our stay at Monte Christo winery was classy, warm and friendly- the perfect blend that made our stay so memorable. The views of the vineyard, the delicious breakfast feast, the cosy couches, the huge bath ready for a soak after a bike ride were just some of the highlights during our stay. Could thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Amazing winery venue and wines to match. The chacuterie board was the perfect choice to graze on while sipping wine. This is the birthplace of Central Otago Wine and they have taken great care to restore the original winery from 1864 and also buildt a great new modern winery facility that complements the old buildings and surrounding landscape. Definitely worth a visit. Breanna and Rebecca were great hosts, friendly, knowledgeable and happy to show us around. Thanks for a great afternoon.

We only stopped by for a few drinks but wanted to comment on how friendly the bar lady Carla was. Made our experience very comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend, especially after a hard day of cycling.

We booked online from the UK because it looked cute and was not overly expensive. We had a wonderful stay in Bladier cottage. The staff were very accommodating as we arrived after they had closed but we were sent instructions so we found it without a problem. As we had booked direct we were given a complimentary breakfast which was delicious and kept us going. We had a tasting (it would have been rude to go somewhere else, and it was informative and great wines. Overall this was the perfect little interlude in a busy schedule. Thank you

Pure class. Everything about Monte Christo was world class. The history was fascinating, the wines are outstanding, accommodation thoughtfully spec'd, service was impecible, the wine tasting room was beautiful and the grounds were so picturesque. An absolute must-do if you are anywhere near Central Otago.

We spent an incredible afternoon at the winery. The grounds and gardens are beautiful, the lunch from the food truck was gorgeous but best of all was the wine tasting. Sasha was amazing and sooo knowledgeable. The wines were fabulous. Thank you, we look forward to returning.

Had a lovely tasting in the cellar door with Rebecca. The tasting was very in-depth with information about the winery’s history, the local area, and the nuances of each central Otago subregion. The wines were all delicious and the hospitality was even better! Can’t wait to go back and try the food next time.
