Monte Rosa Hut

Went here some years ago and they were lovely. This time we got caught in bad weather and missed our booking- they charged us the full fee!!! I checked and other huts charge 25EUR. Obviously a change in staff, real shame. It's a massive hut so don't bother booking.

A beautiful hut in an amazing setting. Lovely staff and ecologically fairly sustainable. Expensive but understandably so given the challenges of resupply. Even has indoor toilets and showers (for a charge). Meals excellent.

Best view in the alps, friendly staff with helpful hiking and climbing recommendations. We passed by on our way from and to Rotenboden and had lunch there. The Panoramaweg is very scenic and the old Hüttenweg, which we took back, was more difficult but faster.

Incredible place, incredible hiking trip. walking through the glacier is totally awesome. The hut itself is very modern, very clean and comfortable, they serve good food and good wine as well. Stuff is very friendly. Definitely 5 starts place. I recommend to everybody who likes hiking adventures.

Beautiful modern hut with a lot of luxe amenities, like sitting clean toilets, running water, bottles of wine, a spacious terrace etc. Breakfast for the Dufourspitze is at 2 o’clock , a lot of people do it so you’re not alone on the mountain. The low route to the hut requires crampons and climbing on fixed ladders and ropes. Don’t take the Gornergratt rail, its way too expensive, just do a day hike one way to the hut

It is not an object resembling a mountain shelter. The price of boiling water 9 francs a shower with hot water 5 francs show that the owner is focused on earning money not running the original alpine mountain shelter. 2 stars for a very nice service. I recommend a visit without an overnight stay. Beautiful views

Beautiful modern hut in an amazing spot with views of the Monte rossa group all around. A good basis for several Alpin tours. The approach to the hut was changed so pay attention. Food wise, it could do better also there is no clean running drinking water at the hut.

Amazing "hut", feels a bit like living in a futuristic, sustainable place on Mars. Very kind team and great food! We did the the new trail to the hut and went back on the old one, both exceptionally beautiful, crossing the melting glacier. Borrow the binoculars and check for animals and seracs!
