Monte Verde Trattoria Pizzeria

Just amazing! Someone said you can get authentic Italian food near the jungle in Palenque and as an Italian I could not believe it, but it was true! We came back two times here. We ordered the gorgonzola, nuts and prosciutto pizza that was divine and the ham hock was to die for. The cocktails were also so good. If you fancy a blend of Mexican and Italian culture do not think twice and go here. Thank you so much Alessadra for the hospitality and to make me feel like I am back home for a bit!

We and our kids really enjoyed the pizza's. Best pizza we have had since we arrived in Mexico. Staff was friendly.

It was average.. loved the starter dip, but the crisps were stale. Spaghetti was good, if you like al dente.

I think chamorro was great. Great size, great flavor, very nice meal in general. The pastas also were good. I don't remember which ones we had but they seemed and tasted (according to the ones that had them) very good. Prices are also good. For a family of 7 I think they have very good prices for Palenque. The waiter was very friendly with us and the kids. The location ok, it is a little hard to find the entrance to the place.

Located in the hotel zone on the way to the Palenque ruins, this restaurant offers a safe and charming dining experience. Surrounded by nature and with beautiful nighttime lighting, it's the perfect spot for a romantic or relaxed dinner. The live music adds a nice touch to the ambiance. The service is impeccable, and the staff speaks English. While the food is decent, it doesn't quite reach the standards of authentic Italian cuisine, especially for more discerning palates. However, the portions are adequate, and the wine selection is excellent. Overall, a must-visit in Palenque, where elegant dining options are limited.

The food was really good and very tasty. The aumbiance there is nice. This resturant has a very nice vibe. They keep it dark and i liked it. My only problem is that while we were on vacation, we wanted more local mexican style cuisine. They are an Italian style resturant. I will post a pic of our meal.
