Montemar - Galapagos Eco Luxury Villas for Groups & Families

There aren't sufficient words to describe the magnificence of Montemar. Reyna & Roberto's commitment to sustainability is inspirational and one we should all strive to achieve. I was able to enjoy the luxury of my stay even more, knowing that Montemar provides it through environmentally-friendly means. The hospitality and attention to detail of all of the staff is extraordinary. Juan's culinary creations are spectacular and give you a taste of Ecuadorian cuisine from all of the country's different regions. If you are fortunate enough to travel to the Galapagos Islands, I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Montemar. You will truly be in awe!

My family and I stayed at Montemar for 3 nights on our way to a Galapagos boat cruise. We wished we could have cancelled the boat and remained with Reyna and Roberto. This place is magical! Reyna is the ultimate host. From coffee and chocolate tastings, cocktail making, hiking the beautiful grounds and the outside activities with Champy! (sp?) The men hunted down the infamous vermillion fly catcher. a top thing on our list and hard to find. Our beach day was wonderful, with up close and personal wildlife encounters. The house is gorgeous, big and furnished with beautiful linens and things. We had massages, some of the best ever. Yoga every morning before breakfast in their open air yoga studio was the best way to start the day. The food was delicious and plentiful. It's impossible to share the specialness of this place, JUST GO!

I had the pleasure of spending a week at Montemar Ecoluxury Villas, and it was simply a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff is very attentive, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about providing a unique experience. They are experts in Galapagos and design all the experience including day boat trips to nearby islands to see the same things that you see with long hours of navigation on a cruise boat. But, without the hassle of being confined on a boat. ||The villas are beautiful and perfectly integrated with nature, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. I was particularly impressed with the luxury amenities, as well as the eco-friendly commitment of the place, with sustainable solutions that don't compromise comfort in the slightest.||The surrounding area is incredible with lots of Galapagos Giant Tortoises and Darwin Finches, making it the perfect spot to disconnect from our fast life. We were able to enjoy several outdoor activities and saw the highlights of Galapagos biodiversity. It was amazing. ||If you're looking for a place that combines luxury and nature, Montemar Ecoluxury Villas is definitely a place I would recommend to everyone. We will definitely be back!

We had the privilege of spending our honeymoon in Montemar. ||Reyna and Roberto, the owners, organized all the trips for us in a personalized way. Making these days an unforgettable experience… land and water excursions were perfectly tailored. ||Montemar literally looks like a paradise! The water you bathe with is collected from the rain, the food is organic, collected from their own garden, and Juanito the chef is simply amazing. ||Montemar has a sustainable coffee plantation and support research that contributes to the conservation of the giant tortoises. ||Furthermore, we had an amazing trip to the Bartholome Island on the Sea Finch yacht having the opportunity to enjoy with penguins, sharks, sea lions in a magical place called Sombrero Chino. ||But the most special moment for us was a ceremony and ritual in front the sea, that Reyna and Roberto organized on the magical beach of Turtle Bay. This experience was simply exceptional. From the moment of our arrival at the VIP lounge to the last steps onto the departing jet we were royalty, friends, nature lovers, and explorers. This place is so wondrous and full of surprises. From the chef prepared meals, mixologist concoctions to the sea otters swimming up to our beach and swimming with the penguins we were on an adventure of a lifetime. Both Reyna and Roberto are fabulous hosts and gifted naturalists. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a fabulous experience of a lifetime.

Words cannot express how incredible our stay was. With the caring and thought put into every aspect of our time at Montemar, we immediately felt like we were at home. The entire staff cared for my family as if it were their own, and the adventures arranged were, in the words of my 12 year old son (not an easy age bracket to please) “beyond spectacular.” Whether you have a family or it’s just a trip for adults, it will be an adventure that will have a lasting impact on your soul. My children (and I) were in tears when we left. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We miss it already.

We stayed at Montemar in October 2024. The location is magical in the highlands on Santa Cruz. You can find tens of Tortoises and some horses on the property grounds, just outside your room. The villas are spacious and very stylishly decorated. The dining area and the rooms are very comfortable. Reyna and Roberto are super hosts, they organised the whole week for us, and every evening gave detailed explanation on what to expect the following day, with lots of tips and information about the Galapagos in general. The food that chef Juan was preparing every morning and evening was delicious and very different every day. All in all, it was an unforgettable stay at Montemar with amazing excursions and experiences every day.

This was the most magical place. Roberto, Reyna & their amazing staff became like family during our 5 day stay. It's such a peaceful home with views of giant tortoises everywhere. The food was also so delicious! We would highly recommend!!!
