Montgomery Sky Farm

Our favorite part of our Asheville trip by far!! Cannot recommend this experience enough. Fran is friendly, authentic, and passionate. The animals are obviously so well taken care of. I especially loved that we didn’t need to bribe them with treats to get their attention; they’re just affectionate and seemed to enjoy our company as much as we enjoyed theirs. It made me feel incredibly special to have donkeys, goats, horses, sheep, dogs, and the smallest alpaca I’ve ever seen merrily following me around for cuddles. And don't skip the chef’s table after the farm tour! Taylor’s food is on par with any fine dining establishment- and it takes “farm to table” to a whole new level. We will be back!

My family and I went to Montgomery Sky Farm for my birthday and had the best time ever. Fran was so sweet and takes wonderful care of all the animals there, which were all rescues. They all had so much space to run around and were super happy. We even got to see a couple baby cows! I would definitely go again and recommend to anyone. 10/10 experience

Fran the owner took us on a farm tour. I was greatful she was able to squeeze us in before we left our Asheville summer trip. All the animals looked healthy thanks to her and her husband taking such good care of these abused and neglected animals. The animals were so sweet and I got to give the baby alpaca a bottle of milk. The highland cows were awesome and I got to brush the baby calf. The goats and sheep were so snuggly and just wanted to be pet. I would definitely recommend this rescue for anyone who wants to meet and touch beautiful creatures. The donkeys were also so sweet and rescued from crazy situations. They had 2 dwarf horses and a mini horse they took out of an abusive situation. Kindest hearts take care of animals the way they do. Donate and visit this place!!! They are a 501c3 of anyone wants to donate and get a tax deduction can. They also have an Amazon wish list and you can send snacks or toys to the animals.

You absolutely MUST visit this amazing husband and wife team. Taylor is our favorite chef and his food will blow your mind. Guaranteed! Pair that with his amazing wife Fran touring you through their rescue animal farm and making the most delicious breads you’ve ever tasted and you just won’t be able to top the experience. The hospitality is top notch and they are super flexible with your vision. Come with 2 people, come with 20. They will make it happen and you will not be disappointed! We are always looking for an opportunity to come.

We’re from Texas and wanted something to do while we were here and I’m so glad we picked Montgomery sky farm! From rescued goats, donkeys, horses, ram, alpacas, and of course highland cows! The experience was incredible and Fran is such a sweet soul, and her story is amazing! 10/10 recommend. The animals are so sweet and amazing to be around.

My wife and I had the most incredible experience celebrating a friend’s birthday at Montgomery Sky Farm! Fran kicked off the evening by hosting a meet-and-greet with their resident furry-friends (many of whom are rescues) that was both inspiring and educational. Her passion for animal welfare and her deep knowledge of each animal’s story made it truly special. Meanwhile, Executive Chef Taylor Montgomery and Executive Sous Chef Cat Beraud prepared a sumptuous multi-course dining experience that completely blew us away. Each dish was perfectly paired with wines that complemented the flavors beautifully. Our group of 19, which included vegetarians and those with celiac dietary restrictions, was catered to with such care and attention that everyone felt included and delighted. From the warm hospitality to the thoughtful accommodations and the unforgettable sustainable farming cuisine, Montgomery Sky Farm delivered an evening that was both heartwarming and delicious. Their entire team was professional, gracious, and sincerely passionate about what they do—it was clear that they are a genuine family, working towards a common goal. We couldn’t recommend them more for anyone looking for a truly unique and meaningful experience!

Absolutely amazing. We had a memorable experience visiting the farm and meeting all of the animals. We could have played with the donkeys all day! Fran is the kindest ever and truly loves each and every animal on the farm. I highly recommend visiting and supporting their efforts.

We’ve now dined here twice—once for a family-style Christmas party and once for a Chef’s Table experience for my birthday. (Plus six Chef’s Tables back when Taylor had a restaurant in Greenville!) Taylor and Fran are truly lovely people who not only create unforgettable dining experiences but also give back to the community and run a rescue animal nonprofit. Their passion and care shine through in everything they do. If you’re considering booking—do it! You won’t regret it.
