The beds are really plush and the showers have great water pressure, making it one of the nicer hotels in the area and very convenient for visiting big attractions nearby." - Matthew Kepnes

A wonderful hotel in a great location. The hotel is located about an 8 minute walk from the train station, a short walk to the colosseum, and a short walk to the Basilica Maria Maggiore, the burial site of Pope Francis. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby. ||The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice sized elevator. There is a bar on the main floor and a restaurant and bar on the roof with wonderful views. Breakfast is also served here. The charcuterie and drinks are very good and the breakfast is nice with a good selection of food. We ended up staying here on both ends of our trip. We had a standard king room the first time. It was very spacious, very clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom was also very large with a nice shower and great toiletries. The second stay we were upgraded to a suite and that was an extremely large room with a huge spa tub and a large covered balcony with comfortable patio furniture and an outdoor table and chairs. We had a fantastic view from the room and patio!||I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Rome.

We have 2 more sleeps to go in our 5 night stay here but I couldn’t wait to share my high opinion!|— Checkin, friendly and accommodating. Bellman ready to help with luggage before we exited luggage. With overnight flights, we arrived before 10 am & expected to stow luggage for day. Pleasant surprise: gracious desk clerk volunteered to check for already cleaned room and we went right up. Nice efficient lift even with our big suitcases.|- Both breakfast & bar service on top floor restaurant and patio have been superb. Full breakfast buffet: great eggs, meats, fruits and coffee plus pleasant servers!|- Deluxe room, not small but not huge. More than enough storage for 2 of us with 3 weeks luggage. Nice kettle, porcelain cups and great instant coffee packs. Crucial: wonderful plentiful water in big shower with both rain shower head & wand. Towels are superb, two of them thick white Turkish beach towel size. Bed, linens & pillows top notch.||-Monti neighborhood is perfect. Less than 10 minutes to Colosseo, less than 20 to Pantheon, and we’re slow seniors. We even felt safe walking to & fro on this street, Via Cavour, well after dark. (YouTuber Rome Rozier described Monti area perfectly)||I’d definitely stay here again. Gratzi Mille Dear Monti Palace!

Incredible place to stay. Comfortable, modern rooms. Fabulous rooftop bar in the evening and an absolutely amazing continental breakfast in the morning. Luxurious towels in the bathroom. Minutes walk from the colloseum and more sites. I wish we had a longer reservation.

This is a return trip to Monti Palace as we were so pleased with our last stay.|The location is great, very close to the Coloseum, ie walking distance and a good but no too difficult walk to other main areas. We also enjoyed the surrounding restaurants, especially in Via Urbana. The Hotel is great, has a wonderful roof garden-bar, spacious rooms and friendly staff. The roof top garden gives great views of the sunset for drinks and dinner. Monti Palace is our go to in Rome.

We stayed here for our first night in Rome. The location is GREAT! Easy to find, and the surrounding area was very safe. The room was cute and cozy, it honestly had everything we needed. The best part of this hotel is the rooftop bar - the view is breathtaking, the staff were amazing, and the drinks were top notch. We would definitely return to this hotel.

We had the most amazing time during our stay at Monti Palace. Truly made our honeymoon memorable. The rooms were clean and the terrace was beautiful, and the breakfast was very nice.

Good location and very close to metro station. The room is quiet and have most amenities except the curtain was fixed and was unable to be closed. I had to use some clothing pegs to clip them so it’s not too bright at 5am. Breakfast was reasonable. Overall considering the price they are charging I think it’s a good hotel to stay at.

Yelp
We had a wonderful three-night stay here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the beds were incredibly comfortable with high-quality pillows that guaranteed a great night's sleep. The best feature is undoubtedly the location in the Monti area. It's perfect for seeing all the major sights, all of which are within walking distance. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome.

Yelp
Wow talk about elegance! This hotel is absolutely beautiful and luxurious. We only reserved a spot on the rooftop bar but I definitely want to spend a night here. Very modern, clean and beautiful hotel from the moment you walk in. Make a reservation for the rooftop bar so you can be on the gorgeous terrace. It's especially beautiful at sunset! Great service, huge range of cocktails and they also give you a bunch of snacks at no charge!! Can't wait to come back, grazie mille Update: reserved a room for August 6, 2020. The room is spacious and nice, however, I wouldn't stay here again. I'm highly allergic to mold and I couldn't stop sneezing. Starting from 8am the next day until 12pm checkout there was a constant pounding banging noise coming from the hallway, it was extremely annoying and frustrating. The breakfast service was HORRIBLE. The breakfast staff were very rude and impatient. It's not self-service anymore due to COVID which is understandable but the staff had horrible attitudes with all the guests.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to stay overnight at the Monte Palace Hotel in Rome. What a wonderful experience. This lovely boutique hotel was close to all the attractions. 5 to 10 minutes walk away from the Colosseum, another five or 10 minutes away from the Roman forum. Close to all kinds of shops and restaurants. It's a lovely boutique hotel with a rooftop patio and a lovely outside eating space as well as the space inside for breakfast in the morning. Our rate came with breakfast which was expansive with all kinds of fruit, cereals, yogurts, meats and cheeses, breads etc. there was even a coffee machine to make coffee anyway you wanted it - as well as all kinds of juices etc. As for the rooms -- the furnishings were all very modern. Beautiful flat panel TV, lovely large bathroom including a bidet and heated towel rack. There was a laptop safe, and lots of space in the closet to hang things. The staff are really helpful and worked to get us a room as quickly as possible, being that we tried to check in early as we had just come that day and therefore were trying to check in in the late morning. They were very sympathetic to us having a lot of jet lag LOL. Lovely sized room and very comfy bed too. USB charging ports as well as wired ones. We were quite lucky also that they upgraded our room and we had one that had a wonderful outdoor space including patio loungers and an eating area, it really was too wonderful and we were sorry we were only going to be there for one night. I highly recommend this establishment. You will not be disappointed. We stayed in the middle of the summer, and you can count on the air conditioning working very well there also. The staff were incredibly welcoming.

Yelp
We LOVED staying at the Monti Palace Hotel. When we arrived, they upgraded us to the presidential suite for our honeymoon which is huge with two terraces and a jacuzzi. We also were greeted with a bottle of wine and some aperitifs--and got two complimentary glasses of prosecco on their rooftop bar/restaurant which overlooks the neighborhood. But I think my favorite part about this hotel is the location. It's a short walk from the Colosseum but also the Monti neighborhood which feels very local and residential with tons of restaurants to choose from. The staff was also lovely and accommodating. We would 100% stay here again on our next trip to Rome, the value was really great and the location was even better!
