Montigo Resorts Nongsa

"Nestled along the coastal shoreline of Nongsapura in Batam, just a 20-minute ferry ride away from Singapore, the Montigo Resort is a pleasant and unexpected way to escape. The buildings were built in traditional Indonesian style with lots of bamboo and open ceilings, and the 88 villas offer splendid views of the South China Sea. Each family-friendly villa has a kitchen fully stocked with crockery and cutlery, two bedrooms (one with a comfy king-sized canopy bed, the other with twin beds), and en-suite bathrooms. If you are thinking of having some quality time with your spouse or partner, drop the kids off at the Olo Kid’s Club. While they run around on the playground or bake cookies, you can treat yourself to a relaxing Indonesian massage at the resort spa."

From the very beginning, our experience with Montigo Resorts, Nongsa, has been nothing short of exceptional — and much of that credit goes to our outstanding coordinator, Atika. She has truly mastered her craft, responding promptly to every query, demonstrating remarkable conscientiousness, and going above and beyond to ensure our team’s stay was meticulously planned down to the smallest detail. Her warm welcome and genuine care set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The food was consistently excellent — both in quality and portion — leaving our team thoroughly impressed at every meal. The service staff were professional, attentive, and consistent throughout our stay, maintaining a high standard that made us feel valued and cared for at all times. Montigo Resorts offers the perfect combination of quality rest, engaging activities, and top-notch hospitality, making it an ideal destination for team bonding retreats. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already looking forward to our next visit.

This is my second stay at Montigo Resort Nongsa. I came in June 2025 with family and had such a good time that I came back with my wife again just three weeks later. My first stay was in room 1806 and I'm writing this now from 2002, both deluxe one bedroom villas. Overall, this is a good place to stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the private pool is nice, the staff are very friendly and speak English. The food is good and the resort itself is clean. They're conscientious enough to provide regular fogging for mosquitoes and each room even has insecticide and mosquito repellant. My complaints are mostly with the large number of lizards. In both stays, we've had to deal with lizards. The insecticide provided did not help with them. In some cases, when the staff was here, they were more than helpful to help get rid of the lizard, but there were usually more hiding around the place. The bathroom as well has plenty of small shower flies that should be enough to get rid of with shower drain traps and so on. At least for my wife, this was very distressing so I hope management can look into this.

Hello Montigo Thank you for a truly wonderful weekend at your resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My husband and I had an amazing time, and the many thoughtful complimentary touches made our celebration feel both romantic and magical. I was especially surprised by the private romantic dinner my husband arranged—thank you for helping to make it so special. The complimentary fireworks at the end added such a beautiful finishing touch to the evening. We stayed in the Premier One-Bedroom Villa, and we were very impressed. The villa was spacious, spotless, and the infinity pool was even larger than we expected. We also really appreciated how private the villa was, being tucked away in a quiet corner. The dinner we had at TIIGO on our first night was also lovely. We enjoyed the ambiance, and the service staff were attentive and polite throughout. Breakfast was enjoyable as well, though Sunday morning was a bit overwhelming due to the large number of guests.I believe many were attending a wedding. It was quite crowded, and that was the only downside to an otherwise perfect weekend. One suggestion for improvement: it would be a nice touch to include a complimentary bath bomb in villas with bathtubs. It would really elevate the in-villa experience. Once again, thank you for the warm hospitality. We look forward to returning in the future.

This is my second visit to Montigo (Villa 102), and my first stay was just 3 months ago. Sadly, this time was full of issues: • Pool light not working on first night, repaired but failed again the next night. • Stagnant water around the pool caused me and my daughter to slip and fall. • Was not informed beforehand that the cabana area was under upgrading. • Pool tiles coming off inside the villa pool. • Power tripped on the first night while we were sleeping — aircon and lights went off. Staff offered to check but I was too tired and told them to check after I checked out. • First day was very tiring as I had to keep opening the door for staff to fix many issues. • Fridge was not cold throughout the stay.Although the villa condition needs serious maintenance, the service from the staff was still very good. Michael has been very nice and friendly throughout both of my stays. He helped us with the BBQ setup and also handled the breakfast station. Really appreciate his warm and attentive service — made our stay more enjoyable despite all the problems. Thank you, Michael, and keep up the good work!

My husband and I had a one-night staycation at this beautiful resort, and it was truly a great experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was well taken care of. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink, which was a nice touch, and the staff throughout our stay were warm, friendly, and attentive. The weather was quite hot, but we had planned ahead and booked an in-house BBQ with a sunset view — definitely one of the highlights. A special chef handled the BBQ just for us, and the server attending to us was equally pleasant and professional. We managed to catch the sunset for a few minutes before the dinner, which made the moment even more special. The resort itself is stunning — clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. We’ll definitely consider coming back again. The complimentary breakfast offered a great variety and quality, much more than we expected. The buggy drivers were also incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a cheerful smile. They even picked us up and sent us to the ferry terminal upon checkout, which made our departure smooth and stress-free.We also visited the spa and tried both the Indonesian and Montigo massages. While we couldn’t really tell the difference between the two, the masseuses were skilled and professional. One small suggestion would be to include some relaxing background music during the massage, as the silence felt a bit too quiet. The food overall was above average, even if not the absolute best we’ve had. Still, paired with the views and ambiance, it made for a lovely experience. All in all, the resort is a perfect place for a peaceful weekend escape. The views are amazing, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxing. While the price is on the higher side, it’s expected at a five-star resort — and in our opinion, it’s well worth it.Highly recommended if you’re looking for a short, luxurious break to recharge.

At the Montigo Resort Spa I received the best massage of my life. And I’ve had more than 100 massages in my life. The masseuse Diah had heavenly hands with just the right pressure with slow methodical motions. I got the Indonesian type of massage. The private massage villa really added to the experience, with the sounds of ocean waves in the background and beautiful soft music. I plan to book Diah again before my stay is over.

Good service and good massage — we are not the first time here and definitely won’t be the last! Every visit to Montigo feels like a mini getaway. The staff are always warm and attentive, and the massage was just what we needed — relaxing, rejuvenating, and professionally done. The ambiance is peaceful and clean, which makes the whole experience even better. We truly enjoyed our date and quality time together. Thank you Montigo for consistently delivering such a lovely experience! Highly recommended for couples looking for a relaxing treat.

My partner and I checked in at Montigo Resorts in Nongsa with my cousin and niece last 11-12 July and boy it was really an experience worth telling our whole clan.|My partner and I are celebrating our 8th year anniversary while we were joined by my niece and cousin as we also celebrate their achievements.|The stay was really wholesome and we loved the hospitality of the whole team.|Some of the highlights are: |> Checking-in: we were checked in smoothly by their staff, Putri who has given her best efforts to entertain our overeager questions regarding the villas. We were too overwhelmed with the beauty of the resort upon stepping into the reception but I guess the staff there are used to awed guests as Putri was trained well with how she handled our enthusiasm (thanks so much Putri 🫶)||> Baggage storage: the thing with Montigo Resorts is that we felt like they all work together as a family helping each other. That's why it was no surprise that Manager Yuri was the one who helped us store our baggage safe and sound. We were able to see him around during our stay was always ready to help regardless of what we needed, us either he does it himself or request help from other staff. (thanks Yuri 🙏)||> Activities around the resort: |(There were a lot of activities you can choose from and even some classes you can attend but given our short stay we were only able to try a few)| - softgun range: while waiting for our villa to be ready as we were there quite early (again, very enthusiastic guests, that was us haha) we had the pleasure of meeting Chyntia who has helped us kill the time and shoot some of the tin targets. She was very patient teaching us in the range and I can say she's an epitome of an ideal professional in the service industry. She sure knows how to make us laugh but also ensuring our safety especially around the soft gun in a fun way. (Kudos to you Chynthia 🫡)| - dirt bike/atv/komodo: if you're into extreme stuff, you might want to try riding an ATV at Montigo! Our guide Wahid was the badass in the ATV department and he sure knows how to take your best angle. He was able to help us document our experience with photos and videos. I gave him my phone asking his help to take some photos but didn't expect the videos to be as good! (Thanks again Wahid 😎)| - Spa at the wellness centre: this is highly recommended. My partner and I enjoyed our foot reflex and scrub options and had the most heavenly experience we've ever had. Thanks to Ernida and Melinda who had gotten our bodies to relax and recharge. From prepping us to the tea after the massage, the whole process was reinvigorating. Might I add that the pandan tea was really good and the cookies that come with it is a must try. Thanks again to Ernida and Melinda together with Jasmine who has checked us out at the wellness centre and helped us had a trully relaxing experience! ❤️| - food at the Pantai seafood resto: food here was to die for, and I mean it figuratively and literally too! Haha i suffer from seafood allergy but always carry an antihistamine as I love seafood, it only triggers whenever something with allergen isn't cooked well or is not fresh. But I suffer not a tiny bit as their food was amazing and everything tasted fresh! Also, we went there around 9ish pm as after a busy day out, we just chilled and comfortably slept in the early evening. Considering this late, you'd think the staff were exhausted, but Yuri from Pantai Restaurant still had the best smile and service. (Thanks so much Yuri 🙏)| - sightseeing along the jetty area: this was where we had our best photos but to be honest once you had taken in the surroundings you will want to just enjoy the scenery and take in the view. (Actually, that's why we didn't have much photos for this trip) | - the villa: there's a lot of love we've given to our two-bedroom villa and having your own pool with an attached hut, it was amazing and the massive rooms I cannot really express how much we enjoyed our stay and it really felt like home 😍||OVERALL, we really had the best time and the superb hospitality played a vital role in making this trip a super memorable one.||Thank you Montigo Resort Nongsa Team!||Our only regret was not booking to stay longer. But it was really amazing! We will definitely come back soon ❤️❤️❤️
