Montpelier Nevis

Food: Excellent food. Breakfast is great. Lunch/Dinner: We preferred the lunch menu and tapas nights to the regular dinner menu but there's no way to be disappointed at any meal. The jerked mutton roti for lunch was a particular favorite of mine.||Staff: The service here is exemplary. We favor boutique hotels so we're used to very good service but Monpelier's staff were exceptional even by those standards||Rooms: Very nice indeed, great views of the extensive grounds||Grounds/Buildings: Gorgeous. The grounds are well worth strolling around a few times. We got to enjoy a daily breakfast performance by humming birds, Bananaquits, Grassquits, and Antillian Bullfinches.

This little piece of heaven is just what my husband and I needed right before the Christmas Holiday! We just got back on December 20th from one of the most enjoyable and relaxing island vacations in almost a decade. It has charm coupled with history. The rooms are situated in a way that makes you feel totally private. They have three options to enjoy Breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a pool bar where you can enjoy fruity cocktails made by the charismatic Kaddy and afternoon tea and scones should you so choose. We will definitely be back for our Anniversary! Asheena and Janella are nothing short of perfection and made this trip everything and then some. Thank you Muffin for creating such a wonderful place to stay!

Our stay at the Montpelier began with a few hiccups, but thanks to Abby and the rest of the incredible staff, everything quickly turned around. Abby’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly made the rest of our visit exceptional. The food was delicious , with every meal thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The grounds of the property were stunning, peaceful, and full of island charm. While our first day was a little rocky, the team’s commitment to guest satisfaction more than made up for it. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return to the Montpelier.

In 2014 we visited Nevis for our honeymoon (on a budget) and splurged on one fancy dinner in the sugar mill. As soon as we arrived at Montpelier we said we will be back one day and we will stay here. :). This year we were finally able to make that happen and celebrate our anniversary at the Plantation. It was perfect! We loved the room overlooking the sweeping views of the island and the ocean, the grounds, the small boutique feel and privacy it gave us, the service and food, and the friendly property dog Cosmo. We hope to be back again!

Simply put, Montpelier is special. It’s a hotel that understands the difference between simply being luxurious and being truly memorable. The combination of the stunning refresh, the world-class cuisine, the unparalleled setting, and the most heartfelt service we’ve ever encountered creates a perfect storm of hospitality. We are already counting down the days until we can return.

This is an absolute gem of a hotel, full of history and charm. We throughly enjoyed our stay; this is proper unspoilt Caribbean with stunning facilities. The decor throughout is beautiful and incredibly sympathetic; a wonderful restoration of a beautiful building. The Great room is so impressive. The grounds are wonderful and beautifully maintained and the pool and tennis court were incredible, all with stunning views and a fresh breeze. The staff are so unbelievably caring; we have never experienced such genuine hospitality. Thank you so very much for making our stay so relaxing and unforgettable. Montpelier Plantation is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much.

This place is a historical attraction. It used to be a colonial-era estate, probably related to sugar production or governance during that time. Nowadays, the area has been renovated and transformed. There’s a swimming pool, a luxury resort, tennis courts, and a spacious parking lot. So now, it’s both a heritage site and a high-end hotel. You can also dine here — overall, it offers an upscale experience. But if you’re just a tourist wanting to visit the historical site, that’s totally fine too. During the day, the place looks beautiful with natural scenery, and at night it feels elegant and romantic. Because it’s up in the hills, it’s a bit dim in the evening, but they use warm yellow lighting, which makes the atmosphere cozy, romantic, and refreshingly cool.
