Montra Nivesha, Siem Reap, Cambodia - Explore & Book

"Montra Nivesha provides a great affordable base on the quiet side of town. It's a small lush world of gentle pleasures: fountains trickle into the swimming pool, curtains of manicured jungle shield you from the outside world, and shady timber-framed interiors bring in the breeze. Grab loungers by the pool or escape to the deep shade of the restaurant, where bamboo blinds and ceiling fans keep you cool. There’s also a cocktail bar and lounge with low-slung sofas, and a spa for an invigorating hot-stone massage.Spotless rooms are idiosyncratically decorated with lots of profoundly dark-stained wood, almost-silky bedcovers and lots (and lots) of objects: lotus petals float in copper water jars, Apsaras dance, elephants prance, colourful gourds hang in the trees, orchids cling to pillars in a sun-trapping courtyard. Staff are exceptionally friendly and caring, and several down-to-earth celebs (from Sue Perkins to Gordon Ramsay) have used it as their Siem Reap hangout of choice. Highs The soothing polished wood interiors and lush greenery create a very restful spaceWe loved borrowing the hotel's bikes and cycling to the Angkor Wat complex nearbyThe swimming pool is a great spot to refresh yourself after the rigors of sightseeing The grandmotherly lounge bar on the first-floor balcony offers peace in the city with garden viewsExtra marks for being "90% plastic-free", with purified drinking water in every room (no bottles allowed) and bamboo straws Lows You get what you pay for: it's not 5-star luxury but a warm welcome is guaranteedThe food is fine, but you’ll head into town for more atmosphereThe rooms are a little dark" - Tom Bell

Family of four, with young adult children, unanimously thought this is the best hotel we've ever stayed at. Not sure if it was the fact that it was low season (August) or the tranquil calm that Siem Reap felt like but we honestly felt like the only tourists. Which was a good thing as we wanted rural and feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. But the decor and planting around the pool, colour scheme and ornaments along corridors and in the rooms just made this place exude calm, comfort and a feeling of just being away from all that is busy. Loved it. A little paradise. Didn't want to leave. Great food and warm welcoming staff from reception to cleaners.

The entire facility was beautiful, the lobby, room, and restaurants were the best we found in our 3 weeks in Japan and Cambodia. There's also a massage facility on the property. The hotel staff was great and the restaurants' staffs were even better. The room was clean, comfortable and well decorated with plenty of space for hanging and folding clothes. I don't know just how good the location is but it was never an issue for us. The guides picked us up in the lobby or the concierge called a taxi, which met us in the lobby. All this and more, at a very reasonable price.

Beautiful hotel. The rooms were spacious and the service was outstanding. The spa, though, made my stay (THANK YOU again Thavry!). My one issue was that the shower did not drain which caused water to run over the bathroom floor.

This is a charming hotel. Rooms are large, comfortable and decorated in a traditional style with beautiful local crafts. The hotel is in a quiet spot but equally handy for restaurants and shops in the main town, which you can get to in a short tuk tuk ride. The pool is lovely to cool off in after a day touring the temples. Breakfast is selected from a menu and very tasty.

Not great hotel but nice restaurant. Or maybe our bad luck on hotel - despite it being virtually empty we were given room with broken air con, no WiFi and blocked drain. Staff thought our compliant was about the pool for some reason rather than AC so meant we didn’t get new room until day 2. |Restaurant is great but must stick to local food. The western breakfast was awful so stay well clear of that!

Stayed here to visit Angkor Wat. Great staff, great swimming pool, great breakfast and dinner, we've had a wonderful stay at your hotel, would recommend staying here when visiting Angkor Wat.

Such a beautiful place. The staff were warm and friendly; nothing was too much trouble. We were a family of 5- grandparents, parents and a 10 year old who celebrated his birthday while here. The staff decorated our room and provided the most delicious cake. |We walked to pub street one night but it was very hot so prefferred an easily accessible tuk tuk. These cost around $4 one way for 4 adults and a child. |Thank you all for a wonderful stay.||

Pretty and quiet hotel in convenient location. Very clean and comfortable, if a little tired in places. Pleasant staff, although as in all hotels on our trip through Vietnam and Cambodia, we are bemused that they insist on checking the room before departure. This is in no way a critical of this team, who were all young and keen to please. Pool area is nice. The buffet breakfast is under par and needs a refresh. One evening we arrived for Happy Hour at 6.01pm - it ended officially at 6 which we hadn’t realised…. We thought it would have been a nice gesture to discount our drinks anyway but this didn’t happen.
